when i was 6 i got a scar on my chin from falling out of a swing and face first onto a concrete floor.
when i was 11 i was jumping on a trampoline and i fell, landing on my back which caused my knee to smash into my mouth and knocked out 2 of my teeth and slashed my knee pretty bad. I have a nice scar on my knee from it and some fake teeth.
when i was 23 i put my hand threw a window on a drunk night and got a wicked scar on my palm.
that's about it

A thread dedicated to:
+ Show Spoiler +
would have been cooler.
I remember there's a story around on TL somewhere about somebody getting shot by a crossbow that left a scar. The story alone makes it awesome. I myself have a good number of scars. A decent sized one on my chest is my favorite because it's very well defined if I have my shirt off, so I get to make up interesting stories about how I got that particular one.

Oh boy. I was at a friend's house, and decided it'd be smart to sit on the edge of a glass coffee table. The glass broke, and I fell through. I didn't think I had been cut or anything, and just apologized like a fool for breaking the table. But then his mom told me we needed to go to the hospital right now. Apparently there was a huge deep gash right on my elbow that had cut down to the tendon. As soon as I saw it I started going into shock, because I'm super squeamish.
Freaking sick scar though

Reading this thread got me envious.
edit: Not anymore.
edit2: anyone... hree...a doctor??

Was 5-6. Walking around on the roof of my house in India. There was this bucket that was broken and there was this sharp point protruding out of it. I had no idea though. I ran towards it. BAM! Above my right eye. If I was any shorter, my right eye would have been screwed lol. Anyway, got eight stitches.

Small scar on my right thigh which I THINK I got during me getting delivered by C-section
|
i have a big scar on my cheek . So everyone calls me scarface in real life.
|
Big scar on my right hand.
Combination of a large deep cut from a farm accident, and a burn from me cauterizing it shut.
|
I got 2 big scars. One is just under my right ribcage from climbing a fence (made out of those pillars with pointy ends) as a kid when I was 12. I climbed up, slipped and got impaled for a bit. But nothing a band aid can't fix.
My second one I got 3 weeks ago. Was in a dirtbike race and tumbled over the steer on my shoulder. Broke my collar bone in 2 places hence I needed to get surgery. Total badass since I got a metal plate with 8 parker screws in my body now holding it together. The scar is roughly 4 inch but quite wide. Lucky I didn't feel anything from breaking the bone.
|
I have 3 scars.
My first scar is in my face. I got it when I was 5 or 6 years old because a stupid kid in my school was just mean to everyone and I was the lucky one to get scratched in the face one day. 13 years later and the guy is still a fucking douche/retard. Go figure
My other 2 is on my right knee from an operation 4 years ago. Icehockey injury, never recovered from this one so I can't run or put any pressure on my knee without it swelling up and the knee creaking back and forth + alot of pain. This sucks hard when sports have been my life all life till that point.

I have alot of smaller scars from work related cuts and injuries (construction), but also have 2 major ones.
The first scar is actually 4 scars all from 1 surgery. 1 is 1 inch long and is slit right through the center of my bellybutton, esentially dividing it in 2. The 2nd is 1.5inches long on my lower left side. The biggest 1 from that surgery is 5 inches long across my lower right abdomen, right above my pelvic area. I had my appendix explode, and caught gangreen inside my stomache, resulting in them cutting me open in numerous spots to clean out all of the infection. It took 20 staples to close up the 5 inch scar.
My 2nd major scar happened at work. I tripped while walking with an exacto knife in my right hand. I ended up falling and driving the exacto knife half way through my left thumb cutting right through to the thumb bone. I wasnt able to go get stitches for that injury, and instead let it heal over the course of 2 months. Now its a 2inch scar that stops at the mid point of my thumb nail, and the pain is still insane everytime I poke it, or smash it into something. Worst decision of my life to not go get it stitched up

I have a scar that isnt very noticeable on my upper cheek and some very minor ones on my arm from burns.
I fractured an area in my upper left cheek bone years ago while playing around in a above ground subway station. I literally fell face first onto the metal train rails, along with other injuries. Did not feel any pain at first because of adrenaline kicking in and was fully conscious too. However, once I got to the hospital it was a whole different story, it stung and my body was stiff. Not to mention my first time being "tied up" and tucked into a stretcher like a casualty was not pleasant.
edit: The lucky part was, there were no trains visible in the distance.

I was a kid, playing with water guns with the other kids, as one does at that age. Being a total boss i decided to make an awesome jump onto a square rock on the parking lot.
Basically they have a ton of the damn things placed all around to keep cars from driving where they ain't supposed, about 40cm high, just little things to keep the cars in check.
Seems out operating a watergun whilst performing an incredible feat of acrobatics proved to be too much as i proceeded to miss said square. Now for decorative purposes these stone squares are covered in semi-pulverized stone and as my leg missed this safety device it made it's way past a corner wich was blessed with a particularly un-pulverized-knife-esque-rock.
It was a pretty deep cut, still got a pretty visible 6 centimeter scar on my leg. Not that i mind, scars are manly afterall.
That's the only big scar i got. I got some tiny ones all over the place, god knows where most of them came from. A weird one of about a centimeter at the middle of my right index finger. Whenever i notice the damn thing i can't help but wonder what crazy stunt ended up giving me that one.

Second picture is because it's hard to see the scar in this light. Now, I'm sure we're all bursting to know: "Hairy, how did you get that terrifyingly horrific scar?!" Well, I had an incident with one of these:

Yeah, that's right. I got scarred from lubing up my trombone with too much enthusiasm. I'm just that badass.

I've got some pretty good scars and am digging this thread.
First time and only time i got stitches was because it was a rainy summer day and my neighborhood was playing capture the flag and i slip across the half way line which was wet grass and in the grass there was a piece of tin can that had been hit by a lawnmower. Sliced the side of my calf up pretty good.
I have gotten 36 staples. In 8th grade i snapped my femur in half playing football in the same yard where i got stitches. Had to have surgery and the works. I have a titanium rod that can never be removed and 1 screw in my hip and 2 in my knee. My hip has a pretty large scar from where the rod went in and the knee has a decent sized one from where the screws went in. I used to be able to feel them on both sides of my knee till the bone overgrew it.
Finally my senior year of highschool i got T-boned on a highway and the glass from the impact punctured my corotid arterny (the one in your neck). There was soooooooo much blood. Ruined one of my favorite shirts too. All i got from that was two staples and a small scar though.
edited for fun fact! when i was at the hospital for the artery when they removed the bandage to see how serious it was for the first time (the EMT's wouldnt let me remove my hand applying pressure at the scene) the wound squirted hollywood style on the docters shirt. Like i had a little blood squirtgun attached to my neck.

When I was in elementary school, we used to play a game in PE called North-South-East-West, due to the 4 sides of our gym facing those directions. Basically, you would have a blindfolded person who would call out one of the 4 directions, and if you were on that wall, you would be out. If you were not on a wall, you were out as well, so the objective was to quickly run from one wall to another. a good energy killer for hyperactive children, like myself. Well, one day, I was running extra fast, tripped, and cut my head open on the wall. I got to leave school, so it was pretty cool, and as a bonus, they never played that game again.
One time, I was out camping, and me and a few friends were biking (preteens). We were going down a steep incline, and for some reason, my brakes were not to keen on responding or working. I tried to turn, but my momentum took me off my bike and headfirst into the back of a car. when I came to, People were gathering around me. I was lifted up and carried to a car and taken to the hospital. I bled all over people and their stuff, so it was pretty cool. Have a scar on my left cheek and knee.
I have various small scars on my hands from oil burns from being a fry cook for one of the local fast food restaurants for 2 years.
Also, on my chin, I have a scar from a 4-wheeler accident with myself and my cousin. The 4wheeler lost it going down a gravel incline.
Theres also a scar near the base of my shaft from getting genital warts frozen and removed. Also a scar from getting my foreskin removed.

Got hit with a baseball bat when I was about six or seven years old and never wanted to get surgery to pretty it up. So many people asked me about it when I was little I eventually told one woman I got into a fight.
Doesn't look nasty or anything... Just like someone sculpted out a bit of me shaped like Japan. Weird, I got hit by baseball bat when I was about six or seven next to my left eye.
Mine isn't that obvious though. More of a horizontal curve right below the eye.
