Hey Guys, was chatting with a few friends and we ended up on the topic of our various scars.
I thought I would throw this topic up and hopefully start an interesting thread based on TLers scars and the stories behind them.
The idea is to post with a description of your scars, where and how large, along with a story about how you acquired them. Include a picture if you can!

Personally I have 5 scars that I can name:
1. I have a HUUUUUGE scar on my left ass cheek from when I was a baby. When I was very young I had a disease called Osteomyelitis. I never really bothered to read up on it but I know that it required debridement which is essentially removing the damaged or infected skin. This removal resulted in a kick ass scar that makes me feel like a total bad ass.

2. When I was approx 8 I was playing on a trampoline with my brother. This sucker was rectangular in shape and, because my brother was a total retard, had a huge hole in the center. What ended up happening was a combination of me jumping forward, my brother double bouncing me, and my face getting smashed in to the solid ass edges. I walked with my mom and my brother to the hospital down the street and got it sown up right quick.

3. I have a small scar in the web between my right thumb and my right index finger from 8th grade when a pencil I was holding decided it would fit better inside my hand. I ended up walking down the hallway saying "ow" until I got to the principles office where he pulled out the pencil, gave me a band-aid with gauze and sent me back to the class. Felt like a total baller walking back in like nothing happened.

4. I have a retarded burn scar from when I was 12~ on my right arm near my elbow. I had a mosquito bite and after scratching it and creating a small open sore I decided to put some "off" on it. Off is a bug bite pain itch stopper thingy that hurts when you put it in an open wound, that didn't stop me though. After putting that on my wound for a while I discovered that it was just killing my skin. Hence, the scar.

5. Kites are dangerous on a windy day. I was playing around with a kite with my brother on a very windy day. We made this kite super bad ass by having one person throw the kite handle to the other person who was downwind. It was my turn to throw this kick ass kite and I tripped, this didn't stop the kite from wrapping its self around my right thumb and pulling me a short distance. As the kites rope was quite fine it ended up giving me a SICK burn near my wrist resulting in my scar.

So guys lets hear your cool stories. Also, if you have pictures please post them, everyone likes seeing how much of a bad ass you are as well as hearing about it.

I have also come to the realization that my right arm has been punished a lot, I feel this is due to the fact that my left side got the ass scar and the eyebrow scar. Gotta even shit up I guess.

Also, if this does not justify a general forum thread I would really appreciate if a mod could move it to blogs instead of outright closing it. If it is groovy enough for the general though I am happypants.

My only major scar is a pretty big one next to my right eye.

Got hit with a baseball bat when I was about six or seven years old and never wanted to get surgery to pretty it up. So many people asked me about it when I was little I eventually told one woman I got into a fight.

Doesn't look nasty or anything... Just like someone sculpted out a bit of me shaped like Japan.
Nevermind.

Went on holiday with my mother & father. I was sleeping on this coach sort of bed thing and i fell off and hit my head on the corner of the table (really really sharp) and i stood up and blood was poring all down me, all on the floor. I reacted by shouting mum dad I'm bleeding all over the floor. They replied "go back to bed, your OK". It ended up me walking into they room covered all in blood and than got rushed to hospital.

Edit; The scar is just above my left eye.

I have one about 2 cm wide on my palm under my left ring finger.

Was doing Hard materials tech, and managed to chisel my own hand while trying to wedge a piece of MDF off my assignment.

Just walked back up to the teacher like "Hey sir, look at this", then he drove me to white cross where I got a few stitches (still have some photos, I told my mum to take them when she got there) :D

Edit: Some pictures taken straight from the white cross. (A bit bloody)

Had to get physiotherapy on it for a few weeks after to strengthen it, the doctor said if i had stabbed a bit harder it would have damaged my nerves.

Still bugs me every once in a while to this day, though, especially when playing guitar =/

my only scar is on my index finger. I was in grade school when i was sawing wood or something and the saw slipped to my finger and almost sliced it off. Doctor said that it was pretty close, about 1-2millimeters from the sinew.

But nothing else really.

I have one on my nose. It's not huge, but definitely noticeable. I got it from rubbing my nose when I had chicken pox as a young, young kid.

Manly thread ^^

I have scars on my big toes because of surgery which was like 2 years ago. Basically my nails were growing abnormally and ripped the flesh on my toes so the doctors had to open it up and remove some parts of the nails.

I have some smaller scars on my hands, burning and cutting them by accident.

Like a month ago, I've burned my own left leg by spilling boiling stew on it.

Not really a scar, but kinda funny. When I was like 3 years old I succesfully broke a pencil into my upper chest and I still have that graphite patch under my skin.

Biggest scar I have is the one on my right arm on the elbow that kinda looks like "patch". I got it while practicing for football. Good thing it was cold that day or else I would have been ceaselessly bleeding.

i have minimal acne scarring left on both sides of my face. it used to bother me as a kid, but now (im 23) its virtually faded and you basically have to be eyeballing me from a cm away to notice

also a small, also very anonymous scar on under my nose, above my upper lip. fell down some metal stairs when i was 2. my grandma still regrets that happened on her watch lol.

Huge scar on my left leg from rope burn. Wraps around about half the leg.

Scar above my left eye from stitches I got after running into a table edge in preschool(hide and seek inside)

And a scar on the left side of my nose from a fight I got into with my dad after he took a swipe at my sister

Apparently the left side of my body is more prone to scarring <_<

I was born with a condition called Bi-lateral Tellipes. The operations to fix it involved having a wire frame placed around my right leg with large metal pins placed through my leg in order to change the alignment of my bones. I now have a 'dent' in my right leg. A slight dip in my muscle and whenever I move my foot it goes in and out. Its my party trick. Enjoy

- sole of the left foot, 5 cms long. Glass shard in a fishpond
- 10 cms, inside right thigh. climbed a volleyball post, slid down and got cut on some metal part
- 1 cm, upper lip, missed while trying to smash something with a huge iron rod, got dragged by the impulse of it and 'breaked' with my face on the rod
- dozens on my hand from almost invisible to 2 cm. Really like woodcarving as a kid. And ran with a glass jar in my hand, fell and kept it in my hand, while it broke. Big one under the tip of my right index finger, where I got stuck between two rocks when building a dam.
- 2 cm one on my sternum. I fell out of a tree, a branch caught me in the sternum
- 2 cm at my lower back. No idea where I got it from
- two small, but visible ones on my right hand and wrist, from being bitten by a rabbit and our parrot
- two small, but visible ones from endoscopy on my right knee

1. Left upper cheek, bicycle race on gravel, was going really fast and lost control and landed on face.
2. Left hand, mom was ironing clothes when I was a kid and I tried it out when she turned her back.
3. Abdomen, appendicitis.
Excuse me hun, but what is your name? Vivian? I woke up next to you naked and, uh, did we, um?

- nice long scar on my chin from jumping into a pool to close to the side, and smashing it on the edge.
- scar on my right eyebrow from dunking a basketball, not letting go of the rim, swinging around, and falling flat on my face from 8 feet up. I also broke my hip during that fun experience.
-scar on my right forefinger down to the bone from opening a model airplane with an exacto-knife[image loading]
dozens of little scars on both forearms from many random encounters with barbed wire and such.

I have a scar on my left wrist, running from the bottom of my palm to half a centimeter from the spot where the pulse is taken, it looks like I was extremely emo at one point and tried to kill myself.
The inside spot between my index finger and thumb has a line and 4 dots from a half inch chisel that was stabbed there and the stitches. Now I really know not to use tools in a direction that could slip and go towards any body part.

Right hand's fingers had quite a lot of flesh taken off them from an incident with tin roofing, mix-matched lines of scars running across all of the fingers.

Back of both hands and forearms have more than several scars due to my first cat, and my cat that I have now.

Top of my right knee has a scar and unintended tattoo due to a graphite pencil being stabbed there.
So, five-card stud, nothing wild... and the sky's the limit

Have a small one on my right fist right behind my index finger from playing around with lifting big rocks as a child on an old dock with lots of crushed rocks on where we used to fish, cut my hand on the edge of one of them when I was lifting a rock.

Have a bit bigger one from when I was a child again on my right underarm right below my wrist from a fight with my brother that ended up with me smashing a glass water mug into the side of his head and a shard of it cutting me up as well, his ear got shred into three pieces hanging off of his head but luckily he got stitched up fine.

Lots of small ones on my knees from running around on adventure as a child.

When I was about 10 years old I decided that I would ride to school on my bicycle. At the time we used to live up a huge hill with a lane which was not very well kept, it was rocky and rubbly, had lots of pot holes etc. Anyway, I was going at what felt like a million miles an hour, fell off, and tried to slow myself down with my chin.

Rocks + rubble + face = blood + stitches + scar.

I have a scar between my left hand, pinky and ring finger knuckles on the back of my hand. I was in grade 1 and playing around elementary school like kids do. I ran around a corner but at the same time a grade 7 guy was coming around the corner and I somehow got my left hand pinky hooked on a piece of clothing.

Long story short, my finger got bent outward all the way to my wrist and the bones broke in multiple places. One bone actually broke through the skin and it was at that point the bell rang so I went inside and when my teacher saw she nearly fainted. She had to hold herself up on the wall and we went ghost white.

I have had a few encounters with mugs due to my little brother. Luckily, I think?, these suckers were the hard ceramic ones so they didn't smash on my face/head/back and only left bruises.

Got a pretty big scar on my left knee from when i was like 6 or 7. Got an ice skate(?), the things you have on year feet when you play hockey, right above the knee cap, was a pretty nasty cut.

I have a burn scar on my left forearm. A result of early drinking experiences, for some reason i thought it was a good idea to hold a knife over an open fire, then stick it into my arm. I also have various minor burn scars around the same place from other, similar, experiences.

Also have a pretty cool scar on my left biceps. I think its from falling down a tree and scratching a twig on the way down. Looks like a bad-ass knife cut though.

Have a scar on the inside of my finger. When we were little, I was chasing my brother throughout the house and ended up going outside. He goes to run inside, I follow and he slams the door right on my finger. The white shirt I was wearing wasn't so white after that all.
Don't quote me on this one.

I have what doctors like to call "a propensity to form keloids." This means when I scar, especially on big wounds, I scar spectacularly and the scar tissue can be a half inch above the skin. I have several big keloids: one on my knee from a rollerblading accident, one on my elbow from a biking crash, and one on the side of my hip from a karate throw gone very badly. Also, my right middle finger's fingerprint has changed since I recently cut the fingertip on broken glass. It has since healed but the scar tissue has changed my fingerprint forever.

I have 4 scars on my face: One near my hairline from falling off a bunk bed when I was 4 (7 stitches). One above my left eye from falling on a brick wall when I was 9 (15 stitches). One on my forehead from banging my head against a low hanging roof while jumping over something when I was 14 (4 stitches). One between my right eye and eyebrow from a mosh pit accident when I was 17 (8 stitches).

I also have various burn scars on my hands from when I used a screwdriver and a lighter to burn off a bunch of warts when I didn't have insurance to have them removed and no OTC stuff I could find was working.

There is also a small scar on my right ankle from falling off of a bike when I was 11.

I was born with huge balls.

Parts of my intestine were in the sac and they had to be moved back into my stomach. I have a scare to the left of my right leg although it is covered by pubs. First time i shared this knowledge with anyone lol.

I got two.

I on my left kneecap, when I was younger I played goalie for soccer and when I dove to get a ball a stick on the ground (or rock was never really sure) cut into my knee.

Other one is just below my lower lip, was in a car crash and my bottom teeth went though.

Left elbow, no crazy story behind it, got jumped from behind by a friend and we fell.
Some small scars on my left arm, 4-5 of them, I look like a cutter. They're all from accidents from when I was young. I admit I've done one myself, was bored and sitting in class, found a sharp object, didn't think it would leave a scar, it didn't even bleed.

And 2 on my left hand, again, bored in class, had an erasor.. yeah, it hurt like a bitch for atleast 2 months afterwards.

A round scar from a ciggarette on my left hand aswell, almost all my scars are on my left arm/hand :/

Got a scar above my left pec, years ago I was sitting on one of those swings that are held up by chains; twisting in circles the chain caught my skin, kept on twisting... AHHHH ripped skin.

I nearly cut off a pretty huge chunk of my index finger when I got a knife for my 7th or 8th birthday. They had to put it back together with about 10 stitches, but I still have a scar there.

Also have one across the forehead from when I fell whilst running up some gnarly concrete stairs- It looks pretty manly though, so that's ok. Also it's almost invisible unless I get a significant tan.

My only real scar is at my left middle finger. He looks also a little bit smasehd cause he got stuck between driven gears of a small cement mixer.

It was hell fo a pain cause when he was between the tooths of the wheels and i started screaming like crazy they stoped the machine but i wasn't able to pull my finger out so they had to drive the machine backwards and he got smashed again >.<

list of scars (most are from my dogs):

1. In the front of my leg near the ankle - My dads rottweiler had a chain leash and was chained to a tree. A dog ran across the street and my dog started chasing it and smacked right into my legs making me fly to the ground, and left a scar on my left leg but not my right one.

2. On my nose, edge of nostril - When I was in kindergarten I was walking in front of some girl on a swing and she hit me and it cut open my nose and left a little scar.

3. On the back of my leg - My golden retriever jumped on my back and when she went down she clawed the back of my leg it left a long line down my whole leg.

4. On my forearm going all the way back to my mid-tricep - I was swimming in the pool and my black lab jumped in with me, and she dog-petaled right on to my arm and clawed down it leaving 2 huge lines but only 1 of them scared.

I have a mid sized burn scar on my back from when I fell in a fire at my uncles cottage. The fire was almost dead so the burns weren't to severe.
- a few chicken pox scars
- a bunch of tiny scars on my hands on forearms, from when I got in a fight with a pheasant when i was 7 years old.
Fall down 7 times, stand up 8.

when i was 6 i got a scar on my chin from falling out of a swing and face first onto a concrete floor.

when i was 11 i was jumping on a trampoline and i fell, landing on my back which caused my knee to smash into my mouth and knocked out 2 of my teeth and slashed my knee pretty bad. I have a nice scar on my knee from it and some fake teeth.

when i was 23 i put my hand threw a window on a drunk night and got a wicked scar on my palm.

that's about it

A thread dedicated to:

+ Show Spoiler +

would have been cooler.

I remember there's a story around on TL somewhere about somebody getting shot by a crossbow that left a scar. The story alone makes it awesome. I myself have a good number of scars. A decent sized one on my chest is my favorite because it's very well defined if I have my shirt off, so I get to make up interesting stories about how I got that particular one.

Oh boy. I was at a friend's house, and decided it'd be smart to sit on the edge of a glass coffee table. The glass broke, and I fell through. I didn't think I had been cut or anything, and just apologized like a fool for breaking the table. But then his mom told me we needed to go to the hospital right now. Apparently there was a huge deep gash right on my elbow that had cut down to the tendon. As soon as I saw it I started going into shock, because I'm super squeamish.

Freaking sick scar though

Was 5-6. Walking around on the roof of my house in India. There was this bucket that was broken and there was this sharp point protruding out of it. I had no idea though. I ran towards it. BAM! Above my right eye. If I was any shorter, my right eye would have been screwed lol. Anyway, got eight stitches.

Big scar on my right hand.

Combination of a large deep cut from a farm accident, and a burn from me cauterizing it shut.

I got 2 big scars. One is just under my right ribcage from climbing a fence (made out of those pillars with pointy ends) as a kid when I was 12. I climbed up, slipped and got impaled for a bit. But nothing a band aid can't fix.

My second one I got 3 weeks ago. Was in a dirtbike race and tumbled over the steer on my shoulder. Broke my collar bone in 2 places hence I needed to get surgery. Total badass since I got a metal plate with 8 parker screws in my body now holding it together. The scar is roughly 4 inch but quite wide. Lucky I didn't feel anything from breaking the bone.

I have 3 scars.

My first scar is in my face. I got it when I was 5 or 6 years old because a stupid kid in my school was just mean to everyone and I was the lucky one to get scratched in the face one day. 13 years later and the guy is still a fucking douche/retard. Go figure

My other 2 is on my right knee from an operation 4 years ago. Icehockey injury, never recovered from this one so I can't run or put any pressure on my knee without it swelling up and the knee creaking back and forth + alot of pain. This sucks hard when sports have been my life all life till that point.

I have alot of smaller scars from work related cuts and injuries (construction), but also have 2 major ones.

The first scar is actually 4 scars all from 1 surgery. 1 is 1 inch long and is slit right through the center of my bellybutton, esentially dividing it in 2. The 2nd is 1.5inches long on my lower left side. The biggest 1 from that surgery is 5 inches long across my lower right abdomen, right above my pelvic area. I had my appendix explode, and caught gangreen inside my stomache, resulting in them cutting me open in numerous spots to clean out all of the infection. It took 20 staples to close up the 5 inch scar.

My 2nd major scar happened at work. I tripped while walking with an exacto knife in my right hand. I ended up falling and driving the exacto knife half way through my left thumb cutting right through to the thumb bone. I wasnt able to go get stitches for that injury, and instead let it heal over the course of 2 months. Now its a 2inch scar that stops at the mid point of my thumb nail, and the pain is still insane everytime I poke it, or smash it into something. Worst decision of my life to not go get it stitched up

I have a scar that isnt very noticeable on my upper cheek and some very minor ones on my arm from burns.

I fractured an area in my upper left cheek bone years ago while playing around in a above ground subway station. I literally fell face first onto the metal train rails, along with other injuries. Did not feel any pain at first because of adrenaline kicking in and was fully conscious too. However, once I got to the hospital it was a whole different story, it stung and my body was stiff. Not to mention my first time being "tied up" and tucked into a stretcher like a casualty was not pleasant.

edit: The lucky part was, there were no trains visible in the distance.

I was a kid, playing with water guns with the other kids, as one does at that age. Being a total boss i decided to make an awesome jump onto a square rock on the parking lot.

Basically they have a ton of the damn things placed all around to keep cars from driving where they ain't supposed, about 40cm high, just little things to keep the cars in check.

Seems out operating a watergun whilst performing an incredible feat of acrobatics proved to be too much as i proceeded to miss said square. Now for decorative purposes these stone squares are covered in semi-pulverized stone and as my leg missed this safety device it made it's way past a corner wich was blessed with a particularly un-pulverized-knife-esque-rock.

It was a pretty deep cut, still got a pretty visible 6 centimeter scar on my leg. Not that i mind, scars are manly afterall.

That's the only big scar i got. I got some tiny ones all over the place, god knows where most of them came from. A weird one of about a centimeter at the middle of my right index finger. Whenever i notice the damn thing i can't help but wonder what crazy stunt ended up giving me that one.

Why no pictures?

Second picture is because it's hard to see the scar in this light. Now, I'm sure we're all bursting to know: "Hairy, how did you get that terrifyingly horrific scar?!" Well, I had an incident with one of these:

I've got some pretty good scars and am digging this thread.

First time and only time i got stitches was because it was a rainy summer day and my neighborhood was playing capture the flag and i slip across the half way line which was wet grass and in the grass there was a piece of tin can that had been hit by a lawnmower. Sliced the side of my calf up pretty good.

I have gotten 36 staples. In 8th grade i snapped my femur in half playing football in the same yard where i got stitches. Had to have surgery and the works. I have a titanium rod that can never be removed and 1 screw in my hip and 2 in my knee. My hip has a pretty large scar from where the rod went in and the knee has a decent sized one from where the screws went in. I used to be able to feel them on both sides of my knee till the bone overgrew it.

Finally my senior year of highschool i got T-boned on a highway and the glass from the impact punctured my corotid arterny (the one in your neck). There was soooooooo much blood. Ruined one of my favorite shirts too. All i got from that was two staples and a small scar though.

edited for fun fact! when i was at the hospital for the artery when they removed the bandage to see how serious it was for the first time (the EMT's wouldnt let me remove my hand applying pressure at the scene) the wound squirted hollywood style on the docters shirt. Like i had a little blood squirtgun attached to my neck.
I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums, what a shame that you came here with someone.

When I was in elementary school, we used to play a game in PE called North-South-East-West, due to the 4 sides of our gym facing those directions. Basically, you would have a blindfolded person who would call out one of the 4 directions, and if you were on that wall, you would be out. If you were not on a wall, you were out as well, so the objective was to quickly run from one wall to another. a good energy killer for hyperactive children, like myself. Well, one day, I was running extra fast, tripped, and cut my head open on the wall. I got to leave school, so it was pretty cool, and as a bonus, they never played that game again.

One time, I was out camping, and me and a few friends were biking (preteens). We were going down a steep incline, and for some reason, my brakes were not to keen on responding or working. I tried to turn, but my momentum took me off my bike and headfirst into the back of a car. when I came to, People were gathering around me. I was lifted up and carried to a car and taken to the hospital. I bled all over people and their stuff, so it was pretty cool. Have a scar on my left cheek and knee.

I have various small scars on my hands from oil burns from being a fry cook for one of the local fast food restaurants for 2 years.

Also, on my chin, I have a scar from a 4-wheeler accident with myself and my cousin. The 4wheeler lost it going down a gravel incline.

Theres also a scar near the base of my shaft from getting genital warts frozen and removed. Also a scar from getting my foreskin removed.

Doesn't look nasty or anything... Just like someone sculpted out a bit of me shaped like Japan.

Weird, I got hit by baseball bat when I was about six or seven next to my left eye.

Mine isn't that obvious though. More of a horizontal curve right below the eye.

Among people I know, I am king of the scars.

I had a rough childhood, lots of getting my fingers caught in swingset hinges and the like. Followed up by an adolesence of being beaten by bullies (boot scars on my back). Top that off with some acne, a ridiculous predisposition for large moles that constantly get removed (15+) and then a nasty runaway case of appendicitis that required several surgies (7 inches of glory plus a million small incisions).

I met this one girl with one huge scar that put mine to shame, who had flesh eating disease and lost like half the meat on her thigh/leg.

Tried to jump onto a wall when I was about 10 and failed pretty badly, smashed my shin full force into the thin stone bit on top of the wall (was wearing shorts too lol), it left a scar that I instantly knew I would have for life and 15 years later it's still there =/

Think that's the only one I have though...

Only scar I have that I can "boast" about is the one I have on my left hand. I was always the tallest of my friends as a kid, and one day we started playing football (soccer for my non European TLers), and I was always the goal keeper. Nothing was happening on my side of the court so I got really bored and just jumped up and grabbed the top bad of the goal (no idea what's it called in english) and punctured my hand on one of the hooks for the net.

Needless to say, it hurt like nothing I ever felt, and it left me with a pretty badass 3cm scar on both sides of the hand. Cool bar story.

- Got a scar on my arm under a handball game. It was Jacob Green, the danish handball player who did it on me.
- One on my knee for a basketball game back when I was 7 or 8.
- And one on my chest for being drunk on, slipping on the toilet floor at my friends house. Blood everywhere. Looked like a crime scene. From the toilet slip, I also had one on my chin, but it's hidden by beard - was minor and almost unnoticeable.

I have a huge scar just below the head of my penis.

Besides that I also have Keloids so I have some huge clumps of flesh due to some minor injury somewhere in the past that I cannot even remember, as well as some vaccine I took 10 years ago. Except for that my scarring is pretty minor with some hand scarring due to opening beer bottles with my keys and slipping, knees from falling, leg from bumping into things, and so on. Havent had to have any major surgery, but when I do, I`ll probably look pretty freaky with my tendency to create too much scar tissue.

the only prominent one I have is on the outside length of my right palm.

Me and a couple friends were diving off of one of theirs two-story boat dock (the lake flooded a lot). It was my turn, but I'm terribly afraid of heights they tried to fix that by pushing me off the rail. I freaked out and reached out on something to hold on to. While reaching out, a nail went through my palm, and then gravity dragged my hand on the nail. Hurt like a *****, but actually didn't bleed

Scar that covers the last section of my right birdy finger. But the story is cooler.

I was working as a bartender, we were pretty busy, so my standard procedure was to line up all the beers currently ordered and open them one after another. I was about halfway down the line when the entire top half of a corona shatters in my hand. I freaked out, but grabbed another one as kept going, didn't want anyone to have to wait on true beer. When I finished up, I looked at my Gand and I had a sharbof glass poking out of it. I took it out and immediately a stream of blood literally SQUIRTED out of my finger.

1 (one) stitch later i was out of the hospital, and got workers comp for a day :-D

I have one scar just below my bottom lip from when i was about 2 or 3, i fell off a slide and one of my top teeth went straight through the bottom of my mouth.
The next one isn't so much a scar but still kind of ace I have a bit of my thumb missing because i somehow caught it on a sign on a lamppost when i was about 13, and instead of doing the smart thing a patching it up before going to the hospital i ran it under a tap and put it on too fast and lost a bit of my thumb down the sink

I have a scar on my left index finger. I got it at age 5 or so, when I was at my grandma's place peeling walnuts using a scalpel. I don't know why she had a scalpel laying around, much less why she allowed me to use it to shell nuts.

Got a couple small scars on different places.

1st is on the top of my head and got it when some gypsy threw a rock and hit me on the head and it was weird because i felt no pain and i was all in blood lol. Got another on my left eyebrow when i was really little my father was chasing me on the ground and i was running away from him and hit the corner of the couch haha.

3rd is on my right index finger.... i dont remember clearly but i think i got burned from a candle wax. 4th is on left hand at the elbow.... this is most visible because i run into iron bar and a small chunk of flesh tore off my hand.

My biggest scar should be on my left knee and i got it riding on some random bike and somehow i managed to get my knee on the ground while still going and used it like a brake . But I cant really see it well and the hair is not helping either.

i have a nice Y-shaped scar on one of my shins from a few yeas ago. Happened when i was still a hurdler. One practice we were running hurdles and I got lazy and came in too low, broke through the crossbar which ended up dragging across my shin.
fun practice ^.^

This is a long story, so I will keep it rather short. When I was 7, I was playing around in my parents' glass shop. they had this machine with a conveyor belt that i found entertaining. Well, my arm got stuck and smashed between two conveyor belts. By some stroke of luck, I was flown by helicopter to a good hospital, and had about 8 surgeries in 12 days. Have a nice skin graft on my leg, and a wonderful scar on the entirety of my right arm, from the wrist up to the elbow.

Oh yeah, I also tripped right after sharpening a pencil when I was 10. Nice little black mark on my left palm.

The final one is on my knee. When I was 11, my friends and I were jumping out of swings. I fell upon landing, and got some mulch in my leg.

Wow. I had a brilliant first half of my life so far...

Only six scars here - two from falling as a kid (one on the bottom of my chin, the other on the back of my head) and four from surgery on my stomach.

Lessons learned? Wear a helmet up to the age of 12 and stay away from hospitals - all they want is to steal your organs

Only one scar worth mentioning for me. I was playing in my room one day bouncing a ball around. The light in my room had a glass casing on it and somehow I managed to knock it loose with the ball. To this day I have no idea how this happened because you had to turn the casing a fair amount to change the light bulb. It hit me in the forehead and there was so nice blood. Didn't need stitches or anything, but I sure scared the shit out of myself ^_^ Heads bleed a lot.

Hm lets see...Scar on my lip from when i had to get stitches when I was about 7. Forehead when I busted it on some kitchen tile at 3. Multiple scars on my legs from a longjump accident where they got all cut up by my track spikes during a nasty fall. Scar on my chin when I fell off my bike and cracked it open and stitched closed. Couple accidental burn scars on my forearm that seem to be fading slowly. Thats about it off the top of my head.

I have a scar over my right eye from hitting it on the corner of a low table as a young child, the scar is mainly from the large amount of stitches, its now covered by my eyebrow.

My big scars are from mountain biking though, even though I was wearing pads. I hit a jump with too much speed and went over. the left side of my left knee is pretty much completely scarred up, scar tissue and all. Then also my left shoulder on the backside is massively scarred. Its pretty cool actually.
Then theres plenty of other random scars from various accidents aka road rash from biking.

This reminds me of some people in Africa. They scar the faces of 2-3yr old childs as tribe marks, otherwide they wouldn't be recognized as community members. Kinda interesting:

heres some footage about it. Starting at 3:00

E: I got actually scar too myself on knee. When I was younger I slipped in shower and knee hit a radiator. Damn I remember it hurting. There's blood vessels around that spot. :S

I have a scar that's a couple of inches long on my forehead. Was riding my bike in like the 1st grade, fell off and hit my head on some concrete stairs. I remember I could feel my skull right after it happened. It sucked.

When I was 7y/o I was walking along a brick wall or something similar (only like 4 foot high) I fell, and as I fell the back of my forearm caught on the edge of the wall and took a large amount of skin off between my wrist and elbow, and there's just a little outline around the area lost today

Other than that, I've just got this little pussy scar about 2cm big on my Achilles Tendon area where I literally just caught it with my toe nail in bed and It never properly healed after three years, I can only guess because there's no proper blood flow around the tendon on the back of the foot there

When I was in 8th-9th grade I contracted some sort of weird rash that spread across my chest and then scabbed over. I picked at it and was left with a scar under my left pec. I told everyone it happened skateboarding because a rash sounded too gay.

The biggest I have is from when I broke/shattered the bones in my left ankle. It's about 2.5-3 inches long(depending on how I hold my foot) and is surrounded by smaller ones dispersed around the ankle from where they put the screws(I have titanium rods and screws in my foot permanently).

It happened back in 2005 as I was on my way to work on my trusty bike at 6am in the morning after having slept for 4 hours. Was running late and took a curve just a tad too tight. Some brainiac had thought of filling a foot deep hole, just as the road turns, with gravel. The front wheel goes into the hole and the bike stops. Nothing dramatic, I basically fell to the side. Wasnt a hard fall at all but I can feel the adrenaline pumping and as I am about to get up I figure i'd check to see that nothing has happened. Turns out I have an abrasion covering the majority of my left palm and that my left foot is bent 90 degrees outwards, it really was a perfect bend. I look at it in disbelief and figure it's just me being tired and it's early and continue to try and get up, then another cyclist comes by and stops and tells me to not get up. Surgeons, both in their 40's said they hadnt seen anything like it then again it's Stockholm so not the biggest city in the world.

Otherwise I have a half an inch deep and just as wide cut on my left thumb from doing precision work on some vegetables with a knife that was way too big and not sharp enough. Basically I slip with the knife(it goes all the way round the thing I'm trying to carve out) and the tip goes through my thumb. Had a fair amount of force built up and as such it went real fast. Was a clean cut and I didnt feel a thing. Takes me a moment seeing a nice piece of flesh hanging from my thumb to realise it needs bandaging. The bleeding starts but I get some adhesive bandage, size large, and put it on tight and wash my hands then put on some gloves and continue the carving and chopping. Healed up without any problems.

Have a similar scarr on my right thumb, though not at all as deep, from playing around with a china plate trying to figure out how much pressure I had to apply with one hand(holding it with one hand and then trying to get it to come off with the other through a punch like motion) when trying to break it in two after discovering a crack in it. Not very smart but fun :D

second one I got from trying to run up a slide on the playground just after it stopped raining. yes, i slipped and landed chin first on the slide. now that i think about it, i'm pretty happy i still have my tongue!

both are pretty small scars though, only like 3-5 stitches or something

I have 2 nasty, shriveled up scars on both my elbows from years of falling off of skateboards, scooters, blades and ramps as a child.... then picking them as a result of my OCD.

Not a scar, but as a child (maybe 1 or 2) I fell off of a bar-stool and busted out my front 2 teeth. After growing up without 2 front teeth for 7-8~ years I developed a tongue thrust. As a result I now have an overbite. I've gone through two sets of braces and will probably have to get surgery at 21.

I have a tiny scar on my forehead from when I was 2 and walked into a raised garden bed made from bricks.

A fairly large one on my knee from when I ran downstairs really fast and clipped the wall at the bottom (it is pretty solid behind the plasterboard and I made a massive imprint and cut my leg up).
I thought my dog was mauling a small child in the front yard. I don't trust the kids next door.
Turns out the dog had dislocated her front leg and had been writhing around in pain. My mum had picked her up to immobilise her so she didn't deal any more damage to herself and been bitten as a reflex by the dog.
I was pretty shocked when I got downstairs and the dog had a bunch of blood on her. Very relieved when I found out what happened.

My favourite scar however is the one I got from strafe jumping in the kitchen.
My brother and I had cooked and eaten dinner, and were cleaning up having a chat. Then I decided to strafe jump in the kitchen. He was busy staring at me figuring out what I was doing and unable to tell me the floor was wet.

Most of my scars come from my ridiculously intense Poison Ivy allergic reactions that I do every year. It's inevitable. I'm doing some right now. It's so bad even porn doesn't take my mind off it.

That is all. :'(

I have a few scars, half of I can't even remember how they happened.
But the only major ones I can think of right now are the ones on my right index finger, probably about 4. Not sure how it happened, but I think it was when I was little and was riding on the bottom of a shopping cart. I put my hand on the floor and my finger got caught all up in the wheel. My mom had to run and get band aids and bought them after wards, haha.
Also on my right middle finger, half of my finger print is missing, because it has a weird texture almost of that of a burn scar. I don't even know how that happened.

When i was a kid I climbed a willow tree using a rope, then, hearing my mother calling, attempted to jump off with the rope wrapped through my fingers...
Rope ripped through the skin at the knuckles and between the pinky and ringfinger >.<

I have a pretty badass j scar on my right index finger from when my mom was cutting food when i was about 2 or 3 and i decided to stick my hand under the knife... I also have one on the top of my nose that spreads eye to eye because i was running and slipped and hit my head on the corner of a vcr which caused me to get about 15 stitches. Than college came along and i was walking home from a party drunk and i tried to jump a fence that led back to my dorm and gashed my hand on the top of the fence.

Hmm, I have a dime-sized scar to the outside of my right arm from a car accident; lucky to have escape with just that. Also have a small scar on my forearm when I got stabbed with a pencil and the lead broke off.

I have a scar in my forehead from kindergarden where I was standing on a chair to reach something on the topshelf which a kid then knocked over and I hit the stonefloor head first.

I have another one on my index finger on my left hand from a knife. One of my friends handed me his pocketknife once, which he on handoff by accident closed around my finger - the wound was rather deep, but nothing was really damage, so I've still got full function and sensitivity which is pretty lucky tbh.

I have a third on my foot from when I was bathing at the beach and some retard had thrown a broken bottle into the ocean. Didn't stop me from going to badmintoncamp a week later, but I'll admit it's hard to play with a halfway open wound on your foot. Had to buy more socks after day 4 as I had gotten blood on all 21 pairs (7 day camp, 3 pairs were planned for a day as when they get too wet blisters are inevitable).

My fourth and last noticeable sized scar is on my left elbow and comes from a biking accident. I was out training on my lightweight and stepped so hard that I broke (or well, actually it just got severely bended it didn't snap clean) the crankarm. To this day I'm still a bit scared of standing up on the bike and it's been 3 years, but imagine going at least 35 km/hour and then just putting your foot down - tbh I concider myself lucky to not have broken anything or gotten a worse injury than scraping off all the flesh of my elbow.

I got a kind of jagged scar on my forehead when I was a kid when part of my house collapsed. Used to be a pain in the ass when I was growing up, but it's kind of cleared up now (think taking up weed helped). I've got plenty of other scars, but that's the one my friends talk about, of course.

don't know why this is such a big deal, it seems silly to show off scars, I'd certainly be happier without mine...

I have a scar on my palm from an exacto-knife, I pulled a full retard ahead when I was doing something to warhammer 40k minis. I missed the nerve by like 1 cm on both sides, which made me feel pretty lucky.

I live on a farm, and we have burn pile where we burn some of the trash. Once when I was 12 we were burning a lot of this white heavy plastic wrap we use to wrap hay bales. I went over to the fire and threw a big stick into it because I was a kid, I was stupid, and I loved fire.

The stick landed in this big pool of molten plastic that had collected at the bottom of the burn pile, the molten plastic splattered all up and won my right leg, burned into my skin, and hardened in my leg.

I had to go to the hospital to have it all cleaned out (so painful, especially for a 12 year old) it left a couple scars but one big one right on the front of my right shin. Still have it.

I have 3 scars worth mentioning, all on my head, which is a constant source of humor among my friends. I'll preface this by saying I've never broken any bones or had any stitches...

1st is actually hidden in my hair on the top of my head, midline. I was playing Marco Polo in a hotel pool in Dallas, TX at around the age of 7 with my brothers, and I was the one calling out Marco. I head one of them behind me so I dove backwards to get him. Oops, that was just an echo from the wall behind me. That was a lot of fun blood in the pool, and the hotel had to close the pool down for 2 days to get it clean. My injury probably should have been seen at the emergency room, but

2nd is hidden in my right eyebrow. One month after acquiring the previous scar, my family took a trip to DC and stayed on a military base there, in the guest lodging. The hallway smelled really bad, so we all rushed to get into the room as fast as possible. As the youngest of 4, with 2 older brothers, I was quicker and could dart in past them. This, however, resulted in me getting pushed from behind as we finally got the door open, and I fell forward and whacked my eyebrow against one of those metal clips that was open on the suitcase on the bed. It probably should have had stitches, but apparently that would have been too much of an inconvenience. I don't really mind since the scar is covered up by my eyebrow.

3rd and finally is the scar I got while skiing. Here I am, 14 years old, my 2nd day ever skiing (snow or water) thinking I'm a badass. I'm going down this trail with the poles tucked under my arms, because that's what you do when you're a badass, yeah? So the trail up ahead divides into two; left path is the blue square, right path is a single black diamond. Before I make my decision, I hit a mogul (bump in the snow) and go airborne. Now, just to help out skiers who aren't sure what they're doing, the ski resort helpfully put rope delineating the edges of the ski trails. Unfortunately, as I am airborne, it's rather difficult to alter my trajectory. I ended up breaking my nose on the rope and waking up to red snow all around me. Only time in my life I've ever been knocked out. The ski-mergency guy (or whatever they are) took a look at my nose (no x-ray or anything) and said they could adjust it and re-align it, but it actually was pretty good. The outside of my nose looks fine, but I have a super deviated septum, so my right nostril is about twice the diameter of my left. I showed it off all the time during my physical assessment classes, to everyone's amusement! Can barely see this scar anymore, unless you know where to look; right across the bridge of my nose just under where my glasses sit.

Got a scar on the end of my left butt cheek from a surgery I had, right next to the crack, I hate it because it makes a random bump.

Also got a scar on my left knee, when my parents were building the sun room, I feel on the edge of a ceramic tile, damn that thing was sharp, cut me all the way to the kneecap.

Third and last one is on the outer edge of my left eye brow, was jumping on a bed when I was a kid (I honestly don't remember it, I was like 3) and fell off the side and hit my head on the corner. I got so lucky...

I have 7 separate scars on various points across my torso from having my rectum surgically removed, long story. Most are discrete thin lines but one is just huge mass of deep red flesh across my right side. Pretty ugly but at least I can cover it up.

There's also the small hole, about the size of what a hole puncher make, on my forehead from chicken pox.

I have a pretty nasty scar across my left pointer finger from burning myself with a brazing flame. Skin instantly hardened and turned white/yellow. Was a second degree burn and it took roughly a month to heal. The moment the burn happened and the few minutes after, it didn't hurt too bad. I was mostly just in panic because of what happened and my entire finger just felt warm and dry. After I had put burn ointment on it and wrapped it in gauze, roughly 15 minutes after the burn happened, it became excruciatingly painful. For about an hour and a half it was almost unbearable. It was an intense burning, stinging sensation and was A LOT more painful than when the actual burn occurred.

What made it even worse was about two weeks into the healing process it was finally scabbing and I went to reach inside of a paper bag and the scab got caught on the edge of it. Half of it ripped off and caused the healing process to take that much longer.

Other than that, I have a few other various scars but none as brutal as that. The only other one worth mentioning was when I was roughly 8, I was wrestling with my dad and got knocked into the stand of the fish tank. It was wooden and had really sharp corners; one of which I hit the back of my head on. Had a pretty bad gash that bleed a fair amount. Went to the hospital that night and got roughly 15 stitches.

I got a scar from middle school, when a friend convinced me to help him make his version of Jackass.

He found another white guy and a black guy. Together we mashed together to make an oreo, then preceded to roll down a steep hill. Best part was we got it all on film.

I have a huge fucking scar on my chest. The story on how I got it is actually pretty interesting.

I was having this fighting tournament in order to prove I was the strongest fighter. I fucking smashed everyone accept this one young Japanese fighter. He was a bit of a punk if you ask me; any way I was beating his ass and then he went god damn ballistic and released this crazy shit called the "Hadou" then he did this huge ass dragon punch and my chest fucking exploded in pain.
It sucked at the time, but It taught me a valuable lesson. You see, fighting shouldn't be about victory, its about the joy of combat. It really put things in perspective, but every once and awhile I still scratch it angrily.

Hmm I have a scar on my head from running into a doorknob and splitting my head open. Hidden by hair unless I cut it really short though.

Also a scar close to my right temple after I slipped on ice and my glasses broke in half and shot up there. Hidden by eyebrow though for the most part

Also used to have a scar on my nose after my brother poked me in the face with a ski pole

Fun childhood^^

I have a small scar on my left thumb from a pocket knife. I was trying to cut the cap off a Ramune bottle for the marble and the knife slipped. Yeah, that was fun.

I have another one on my right knee that's about an inch long. I didn't look where I was kneeling and landed on a part of the metal hard drive housing I had just taken out of an old computer.

I've also been told I have about 6 scars on my head from the fetal monitor they put in when you're a newborn. They couldn't get it to stay so they kept jabbing me with it.

I had a tooth removed incorrectly that caused an infected abscess to start eating away my right jaw. Got bone grafts and all that and end results are a two-inch scar on each hip and a 5 inch scar right where my neck meets my jaw, it's hard to see (unless you're 8 years old looking up at me I guess) except if I don't shave (no hair grows there).

My only one; small scar on my right hand near my thumb. I was sitting at a camp fire late at night and one of the logs spat, burned some sap right into my hand + couldn't get it off. It took ages to heal but the scar is only an inch long.

Edit: I'll include one of my dad's because it's awesome. He was a mechanic and working on a motorbike exhaust; he fell off the bike while testing it and a bolt punched a hex-shaped hole into his leg, the scar is a receded imprint of a hex bolt in his shin bone.

Both biggest are on my right hand, one is due to a swimming pool ladder that was not "finished" and the metal was razor-sharp underneath it and I put my hand on the sharp part, cutting a line, then withdrawing it because of the pain, recutting it the other way. Was pretty gross I had a lump of skin about 5cm long hanging from the hand. I remember I was surprised to see how thick skin actually is.

The other one is because some retard in summer camp spilled some boiling sugar used to make caramel in a tin can onto my hand. It stuck to the skin and made it come off when I tried to take it off, there's still a mark 12 years after.

I have 17 random scars on my legs from doing stupid shit on a bike when i was 9-16.

I have an almost perfectly circular scar on the inside of my right leg just below my knee. was playing soccer in the front yard with some buddies, he tried to take a shot on me, i dove into a bush and came out with a half inch stick sticking out of my leg.

Cut on my left palm from trying to cut an apple in half (damn braces). it was pretty cool though. in the soft spot right next to my thumb, could move the hunk of skin back and forth.

Multiple burns from work. Moving 500 degree pizza pans and people not paying attention when i tell them "GET OUT OF MY WAY". then they run into me and pans fall on my arms.

3-4 scars from soccer, mainly getting cleated.

kind of unrelated, but have you ever run your hand up and down your shin and felt all the bumps in the bone?

I have a small claw scar on my right hand from my pet cat several years ago when I was a kid since I brutally tortured him for a long time to the point where he ran away a little while after that and was dieing. It's pretty hard to see sometimes but it's there.

I have a scar like 1 centimeter from my right eye that i apparently got when i fell on a fence when i was 1 year old. I never even think about it, and it's not that noticeable anymore, but it still kidna freaks me out that i was 1 cm away from having my sight ruined for the rest of my life.

I have a giant one on left side of my neck dragging all the way to the back of my ear. It was supposedly caused by an operation I had about 3 years ago.

I have two scars that converge at the edge of left eye and run in separate directions. One runs down almost vertically and that one I got from when my sister scratched me (in the same scratched she scared my cheek as well). The second one from my eye came from when I was young my mom accidentally dropped a box over top of my head and the corner gashed me. Luckily they have faded just enough that they are really only visible if I mention it to people (one of those what's been seen cannot be unseen things).

I also have a nasty scar on my right leg from this time I had to throw out a giant piece of half inch plexy glass. It was too big to fit into the garbage so I folded it in half and tried to use my weight to snap it and ended up slipping off the top half where it shot back and scraped my leg in the process.
Thanks for the break :D

Not really a scar but when I was 13 I jumped off a car on a high powered pogo stick and I knocked out 3 teeth and I am about to have a 4th removed because of the accident. It left me a few stitches in my lip and gum too.

When I was 5 in kindergarten, there were these prolly ~2 foot long wooden car things we'd sit on and kind of ride around the room on. You'd generally ride actually lying down like batman-style with your face forward. Anyways, this mentally retarded kid (not just being insulting/offensive, he actually was retarded or had downs or whatever) rode straight into my face. I had to get like 7 stitches in that curved area between ur nose and mouth. Still have a small scar.

When I was 4 in pre-school, some fucker tripped me while I was running into the classroom. I ended up faceplanting on the floor, split open my eyebrow and had to get ~8 stitches. I still have the scar but it's basically completely hidden by my eyebrow.

When I was probably around 7 or so I tripped at a friend's house and my knee hit the edge of a brick pretty hard and split the whole front of my knee open which left a pretty big scar that's still quite visible.

When I was ~12 I'd guess I got stung by some ridiculous queen bee or wasp or hornet or something while at some outdoor daycamp rock climbing, and I guess the sting was so severe it left a scar o_O (this is on my left wrist). And no, I'm not allergic to bees

When I was ~19 I was opening one of those pillsbury cinammon rolls can things, and instead of using a spoon to open it like the instructions suggest, I was using a sharp-tipped knife (stupidly enough). Of course murphy's law......... the knife slipped off the can and went straight into the webbing between my left thumb and index finger.

I also have numerous burns (most of which have faded or disappeared though) on my arms and hands from when I worked in a restaurant.

well, in chronological order:

1) now barely visible vertical scar through my eyebrow, caused by my running full-tilt face first into the corner of a kitchen counter (age 3)

2) postage-stamp sized wad of scar tissue on left elbow, skinned it pretty deep falling off a bike (age 8-10?)

3) the real package: 2" vertical scar middle of chest starting just below the collar bone, 1" horizontal scar just right-of-center on point of chin, 6" scar midway on my right inside forearm and accompanying 2" scar on my wrist ending just at the base of the thumb on the palm of my hand, and 6" scar on my right hip. All of this was caused by me falling off a bike again... although this time, I broke my right radius and scaphoid. The scars on my chest and face were actually from hitting the ground. The arm was not a compound fracture, however it required surgery to set back in the correct position. Additionally, the wrist injury was not even diagnosed until 6 months after the initial medical procedure, after I had fully recovered from the arm surgery, completed physio, and still had tremendous pain and swelling in my wrist. The error was due to the fact that the medical imaging staff initially x-rayed my very-obviously broken arm between my wrist and elbow, without getting either joint in the frame. Because it had been floating around broken for 6 months, the wrist bone had ground itself down substantially, necessitating a bone graft harvested from my pelvis (hence the scar on my right hip). Surprisingly, the most painful part of this entire process was the hip incision, bone removal, and associated recovery. (age 16)

4) most recently, 3 little 3/4" scars on my abdomen, from laparoscopic appendectomy (age 20)

I must say this little slice of my life is one of the reasons I'm most grateful to be a Canadian. Had I been a citizen of yankee-land, my family may have had to decide between dumping $10k-$20k on putting me back together, or leaving me with a partially crippled arm. As it stands, the only thing not covered by public healthcare was the $500 ambulance ride, from the location where I broke my arm to the hospital... 15 blocks away...

I'm pretty sure the cat died after running away unless some different owner picked him up or something, I don't care so that doesn't matter to me, the scar more important.

I have plenty of small ones on my arms and legs, but only one big one.
It's a long, pink mark on my left foot from where I a bullet skid across my foot at a riflery range (only made worse by the fact that I forgot to where shoes that day...)
It would've been very painful, but i'm pretty sure that the bastard took off nerve endings or something, because I couldn't feel a thing even though it was so bloody it looked like I dipped my entire foot in red paint.

I have a pretty interesting story about my eyebrow scar. Well my family owns a decently sized ranch in the back of my street. We used to go there all of the time, but now we've basically gave it up and let one of our cousins use it and pay the bills for it. Anyway, when I was around 5 years old, I was riding in the back of a trailer with my mom. Well since I was a stupid 5 year old, I jumped off and tried to "race it." Because of the bumpy terrain in the ranch, the truck pulling the trailer had to go pretty slow. I kept up with it for like 10 seconds before I told my mom I wanted to get back on. My mom told my dad to slow down, and before the trailer came to a complete stop, I grabbed on. Since I was a stupid 5 year old, I didn't think to keep going with the trailer, so the trailer kept going while I was grabbing onto it. I slipped and hit my eyebrow on the metal edge and this is the result.

The picture isn't the best, but the scar is the white line that raptures through my eyebrow.

The lumpy scars are actually burns. If you'll notice, the leftmost one looks like the tines of a fork, unfortunately the second to the left is a blotch because the skin melted to the fork and when I pulled it away, all the skin came off too.

That pic of my chest isn't a good one for showing scars but i'm too lazy to take a more recent one where it's all scarred up.

Got a pretty badass burn scar covering half of my left arm. Because of the technique they used to transplant skin from my leg, the surface of my skin looks like a fishnet :D

Didn't find a picture of anything looking like it on google, might upload something myself later.

Edit: Finally found something that looks somewhat similar to my arm.

The "net" is transplanted skin. My scar is almost a year old, so of course it doesn't look like that anymore. However, you can still clearly see the net-structure on most parts of the scar.

(No, them stapling the skin onto your arm doesn't hurt. At least not in comparison to the burn wound ^^)

Edit2: Googling for anything including "fishnet" didn't help much...

What the hell was that Whitept. How did you end up with that much of scars? Did you do it to yourself.

For me I only have 2 scar, one on my head when I fell I was 5-6 years old, didn't remember much but my father said that It was a pretty hard fell and my face covered in blood.
My 2nd scar is on my right foot, got it when I was playing on a sallow water beach and kicked a sharp rock, got cut pretty deep, but I almost felt nothing since my feet is under sea water, but once I step out of the water, it hurts like hell.

Uhm, the fact that you brutally tortured and probably killed your cat matters far more than some stupid tiny scar. Are you trolling us or what? Are you not ashamed of your actions?

I have one on the inside of my right wrist which I have no idea how I got, and a small piece of glass on my left palm under my skin that is bright red from where I punched my hand through a window in anger. I also have a name engraved in my arm where I used to cut myself. I had a fucked up childhood xD

i have tons of scars on my hands from when i used to cook. i was very clumsy and should have never been allowed to wield a knife...

i got a scar in between my thumb and my index finger on my left hand when i worked construction and shot myself with a nail gun... not fun hahah.

i have a few scars in my mouth, 2 from surgeries, one from having a some long cylindrical thing in my mouth and having fallen and having it jammed on to the roof of my mouth, and one on the inside of my bottom lip from when i was 7 and trying to do flips on a bar and falling and having my teeth go through it.

the biggest one i have is on my head. when i was 5 i fell on the corner or some bricks and cracked my head open. i have a scar on the back of my neck from when i got chicken pox in first grade that ended up changing into encephalitis. i think that's about it for visible scars. nothing nearly as bad as some posted O.O

Arm scars for that guy definitely look like emokid scars. How do you emo up your own back though? emokid friends? D:

As for me, a small triangle on my nose between my eyes (barely visible except early in the morning) from when I was a year old riding my tricycle (yeah, I was badass) and got too far ahead of my dad gainin' speed and went off the sidewalk. Hit my face on the curb

One sort of on my chest/rib area, a few inches long. I was walking some really small trail with a friend when I was younger with a friend above the side of a river (like 30foot drop oO) and the ground gave out underneath me but I grabbed onto a root movie-style :D Friend pulled me up but I guess my body sorta slid down sharp rock on the way down D:

Also a decent scar on my lip (with a chunk of scar-tissue inside) from a door hitting my face really hard. I didn't run into it, it just got kicked open really fastand I happened to be on the other side. I was given the option of stitches but declined and I regret it.

Cigarette looking burn scar on my arm? No idea what that's from. a few tiny scars on some of my fingers from having a huge fascination with burning things when I was young. Burned a plastic bag which dripped onto my hand ;\

I have two major scars

one is under my lip because I apparently ran into a sharp edge of a table when I was little and I had to get stitches

the second is on my right pointer finger - back when I lived in apartments i tried to put a coin under the gate (on a rail) so that the gate would smash the coin when it opened, but the gate smashed my finger instead

Do the scars on my wrist give it away?

I could give a long explanation but the short version is that I went through very severe depression during the ages of 10 through 18, strong contemplation of suicide 14-18, and didn't know how to cope, so after 3 years of great consideration, I tried cutting myself (more like a last resort tbh) and it helped. As anything of this sort goes, need more of the drug to get the original benefit, so I cut deeper until it no longer helped. When it didn't help, I had no reason to keep cutting, which is why they are scars instead of still being open.

I wanted a really deep and harsh scar and I knew that tearing of the skin results in a better scar, instead of just a straight incision. Having used serated knives on a vacation, and experienced a lot of pain with minimal blood shed (which is the purpose), I knew that wasn't a method I should employ. So, razor in hand, I leaned back on my bed while sitting and twisted my torso and shoulders as much as I could, hoping to stretch the skin on my chest. Then I cut as deep as I could and hoped that my twisting would tear the edges that extra bit to get the scar a little better. I think it worked but there's no real way to tell.

I have scars on the inside side of my knees that I have no idea where I got them. They don't look like I scraped my knee but more like my knees were cut sideways. They're really old, had them as long as I can remember, and the scar isn't raised.

- got 4 white lines across my left arm from sliding 20 or so of those aluminium bad boys over it by accident, I looked like an Emo child for a month or so.

- got a "C" shaped scar on the front of my right knee from a skiing accident. First I was faster then my on ski and when it overtook me it cut right through my skin, leaving me with a little steak-like thing flapping from the side of my leg and a nice view on the perfect pearly white thing, that was my kneecap.

- got a white line across my chest from one of these:[image loading]

- a few scars on my left index finger knuckle from a slipped handsaw

- a small "T" shaped scar between thumb and index on the right hand from a New Years sparkler that tipped to the side..

to be fairly honest I dont make for good scar material, they all dissolve after a few years, very good wound flesh in our family, I got may be a 100 cuts or so in my time as carpenter that I thought would leave a scar for sure, but they mostly are gone by the end of the year.

Slided across a sports field littered with glass when I was 13. Ripped me open to the point where my leg looked like spaggetti and I saw deep inside my leg. 26 stitches later:

Who cares about the scar, did you kill your cat?
I'm pretty sure the cat died after running away unless some different owner picked him up or something, I don't care so that doesn't matter to me, the scar more important.

Uhm, the fact that you brutally tortured and probably killed your cat matters far more than some stupid tiny scar. Are you trolling us or what? Are you not ashamed of your actions?
I rarely if ever troll here in TL, and no I'm not ashamed of my actions since I was a kid when it happened and I really, really hate cats.

I have a few scars and stories ^^

Whilst jumping on a trampoline, I was given the infamous 'double bounce' and fell off head first into a brick, which I proudly split in half. Unfortunately, that also split my head open, but my dad never took me to the hospital to get stitches.

Whilst playing tiggy, I did a 180 turn and ran head first into a wall. Yep, straight into a wall. Left a nice vertical scar on my forehead.

Whilst playing hockey, I had the ball hit into my face. One tooth crumbled INSIDE the mouth guard, and I have a tiny scar near my lip. In the same game I got hit on both wrists with the ball. Ouch.

Playing soccer, when up to head the ball, got an elbow to the face, broke the same tooth again.

Playing basketball, got the ball kicked into my face. Broke the same tooth, lols.

At a club, some girl I used to go to school with holds her hands out to pull me up to a raised platform on the dancefloor. It's wet because people put their drinks there, and one of my legs slipped and hit it on something, but I made it up there alright. I don't know how I busted it up this bad (Heres a PIC)

(Looked alot worse IRL) Couldn't stand on my leg, it felt like the skin was going to stretch and burst.

Fuark man...the "Seeing inside my leg part" reminded me of another injury, haha. Did you by chance happen to see any yellow looking fluid come out before the blood?

One of my best friends in primary school kicked an upside down bench into my leg (the right angled footrest penetrated into my leg) and it seriously looked like brain tissue. A yellowish fluid trickled out, followed by lots of blood. I have no idea what it was, just curious ; /.

1: Got one over/to the side of my left eye, about 2-3 cm long.
three guys wanted to rob me and decided to hit before asking. I scrabmled free, punched one in the face while grabbing his troat and ran away after that. Dunno of he had a Ring or hit just a real "soft" spot... But it looked pretty horrible...
4 Weeks later some guys tryed it again (evtl. even the same), i got knocked down immediatly bould could at least defend the pocket with my phone...

2: On my pinky . Hilarious accident involving a Golf Cart, beer (in my hand and in my stomach), 4 friends and a driver that had never driven anything. :D.

lols, can relate to bad Golf Cart drivers. Play with friends who have no golf etiquette = golf course is a 4WD Track, nothing is safe, sand bunkers...nothing, lol.

So how did it happen?

I have a scar between my eyebrows. Basically I was young and as my dad was driving away I kept running after him, then he stopped and I ran straight into the towbar of the car. Good day haha, not sure how many stitches I needed, but a few none the least.

I have a scar on my arm which was from burning myself. It didn't really hurt and left a pretty cool mark. I wanted to do it again and make it into an "x" shape but never got round to doing it again. Kind of creepy now that I write that down.

I have a scar on the right side of my right eye. No idea how it got there.

I have a scar on my right leg about my ankle, which is from when I was climbing on a wood pile late at night with my cousins, then I somehow cut myself (without even knowing, I remember it perfectly because I was walking back and then in the light I saw that I was cut and went, wtf?"

I have another scar on my foot which was when I cut my foot on some bricks while I was moving a washing machine.

Thats all the scars I have, I think...

This is a fun thread.

Also I will have a new scar thanks to my retarded cat biting my finger in a fit of extreme fear from something outside.

I have several scars from doing stupid shit and surgeries. First one was when i was 3 years old and grabbed a glass bottle of soda. I wanted to take it to my room and took the stairs. Well i was standing on the 1st step and my eyes were on the height of the 3rd step. The bottle fell out of my hands and landed at the second step... It literally exploded and the sharp pices sliced through the air, and my face^^ So i have many little scars around my right eye..
Another big one is on my left foot. I tried to trow knifes and one did not want to leave my hand... I don´t know how thats even possible but i hit my foot with the knife^^ It was a real big one so i got a 3cm scar right on top of my foot... I could not walk for about 3 weeks^^. Btw it was really hard to get the knife out cause it stuck really deep inside my bone.
My two biggest scars are from a shoulder surgery where they took a piece of bone from my hip and placed it at my shoulder. So i have a big scar at the left side of my hip and another one over my hole right shoulder.
Ah i truly forgot the burn scar that covers my hole fucking arm up to the elbow. I was young and want to taste the soup at the stovetop. Well my mother put the finished soup at the back of the stove, but forgot to turn off the stovetop in front. So i took a chair and leaned my left arm on the hot stovetop.... That summer i had to swim with one arm upheld, looking like i need help all the time... embarassing when there are lifeguards coming every 10 minutes wanting to rescue you.

how does a scar on your ass make you feel like a badass? I have a V shaped scar on my right index finger. I was cutting somethin and the knife slipped and i almost, seriously, carved a chunk of meat off my finger (hence the V shape) and another scar, this one on my left middle finger, where my brother and I were fuckin about with scissors and i nearly got my finger chopped off. ><

I have never broken a bone, only sprains/bruises/scars, but for some reason every time I get really hurt I hope it is broken. I kinda just want to break something to get a cast and shit.

Ahhh no one posting pictures, oh well:

Back in grade 8 I was pretty stupid, at least more so than I am now. A few friends and I stole some shopping carts from the local mall and played battle carts - jostling in shopping carts.

It was my turn, and I got pushed really, really hard and consequently traveled really, really fast, and inevitably lost my balance before I even hit the other guy and tipped the shopping cart. A piece of the sharp edge on the shopping cart dug into my flesh as the shopping cart was gliding on the ground, and cut through the left side of my abdomen, about half an inch deep for about half a feet.

Yah... 18 stitches were not fun. Needless to say I have not played battle carts ever since.

Manly thread ^^

I have scars on my big toes because of surgery which was like 2 years ago. Basically my nails were growing abnormally and ripped the flesh on my toes so the doctors had to open it up and remove some parts of the nails.

I had to do this too, on both big toes. I went without the surgery for like 2 years and it hurt like fuck. The surgery was pretty creepy, felt like he was using a hacksaw.

I have quite a few scars, I was a dumb kid. On my index finger I have an X-shaped scar. I cut myself with a saw, went inside and put on a band-aid, went out again and cut myself with the same saw in the same place, only across. Yeeeaah, I felt stupid then.

I have a small cut on my upper lip after a buddy of mine crashed into me with a tractor.

I have a big burn mark on my right ankle. I was driving around on a moped, and I slid to the ground (dirt road) and got my foot stuck under the muffler, which was quite hot. Got a big open wound that took forever to heal properly.

A few years ago, I was making some holes in a piece of some ~2mm sheet metal in a drill press. I was stupid enough to not use a vise, and the drill bit got stuck and it sliced my thumb pretty good. Honestly though, It could have been way worse. Once, at my school, I saw the same thing, except the drill bit broke off and sent it flying. It stood straight in the wall.

Other than that I have some scars here and there, mostly from using knifes with the pointy end the wrong way, and a big one on the top of my hand from falling into a rack of big pieces of sheet metal.

I'm clumsy as hell, especially with heat. I was soldering pipes up-side down, and of course I had my face directly underneath the joint. Used too much solder and got a piece of molten solder in my face. Got a nice little scar there too. Another time I was cutting a piece of steel with a plasma torch and had my shoe underneat the sparks. Got a boot full of molten steel. No scars tho.

Hmm scars

Scar in the middle of my right eye brow from busting my head open on a petrified wood table as a kid.
Scars on the back of my arms from 3rd degree burns when a lady held me against a wall heater when I was 4. Though they are mostly gone now and only really noticeable if looking for them.
Scar on the back of my hand from a cigarette burn during sere training.
Scars on most of my knuckles from fighting in aforementioned training.
Scar on my back from a mole removal.
Scar on my right arm near elbow about 3" long from I don't even remember.

Amazingly nothing so much on my legs..somehow after all that I've got some sexy legs. :D

Scar above left eye - fell as kid, smacked it on a dumbell, eyebrow grows funny now because of it
Scar on left cheek - burn from a baking sheet
Scar across lower abdomen - hernia surgery
Scar up centre of scrotum - part of the hernia sugery too
Scar on left elbow - fell off skateboard
Scar on left index finger - sawed into it while cutting a bagel
Many burn scars on hands and fingers - worked at a McDonald's... you know how it is
Scar across right shoulder - woke up with it from a night of drinking, not sure how I got it
Scar across forehead - no idea how I got this one either

That's all I got

Well I have two scars.
I got a small scar on my left hand thumb. When I was about eight years old, I cut my thumb till the bone with a freaking sharp knife.
The other one (this one is quite big) is on my left hand biceps. This one's story is not so pleasant. When I was five years old, I was reaching a big cup of boiling tea, and accidentally spilled it on the left hand. I only remember that I screamed, and then I woke up in the hospital. I guess I lost the consciousness.

1. left side of my forehead, about 3 fingers wide 6 or so stitches: Got that scar when I was 4 years old and my sister ticled me so I fell out of the bath tub and cracked my head on the stone floor.

2. Middle of my chest 24 centimetres or so, surgical scar from open heart surgery.

3. A bit to the left of my rightside armpit, a dot of a scar from a tube used to clear out blood and liquids that where pressing on my lung about to collapse it.

4. Random assortment of scars on my chin, Mountain biking,I was almost down the hill and was ahead of the rest of the guys, so I slowed down while I was riding over a wooden plank bump to look behind me too see where the rest of the guys where. When I turned back I saw that it in fact was not a wooden bump, but rather a 2 meters tall wooden jump. since I had lost most of my speed and it was too late to react I pitched over the jump, falling those 2 meters + height of the bike and faceplanted hard into dirt and gravel, having to stich the outside and the inside of my lower lips as well as digging out gravel pieces, and the same on my chin.

1: 4 stich-scar right next to my left eye - Minor traffic accident when I was 7 years old...

2: 7 stich-scar from appendix-surgery

3: Minor scar om right thumb... Tried to impress some girls by being a boss at slicing vegetables at my old school (I know, I know - we were only 15yo), and accidentally sliced into the flesh :s

4: Both kneecaps are basicly more scars than anything else from taking hits through my youth. Not that I was clumsy - but an active lifestyle will make you take alot of falls (especially roller blades are a big sinner)

5: Got a 5cm (2inch) scar on my hand from some girl I sat next to in a class, who suddely took some scissors and cut me. She was later moved from the class due to... obvious reasons...

Guess that's about it

Shall I start the trend of putting photos up like the op asked? lol

This is my bestest scar, on my left leg. It was an inch deep, had 18 stitches. I was about 12 and we lived in a house that backed onto bush (or woods, whatever non-Australians would call it ) and I made up a commando course, part of which involved climbing up a big rock and jumping off the other side. The rock was next to the pool fence, and the pool fence had a wooden lattice screwed onto it with big bloody screws with stuck out more than an inch from the fence. I jumped too close to the fence, caught my leg on a screw on the way down.

I also have one under my right eye from when I was about 2, I fell on a wineglass that dad had left sitting on the floor. The doctor reckoned it'd only need one stitch, so no point giving me anaesthetic, but after doing one stitch he thought it needed another, and another, and another... I think I ended up having four or five stitches with no pain relief, on my face, as a toddler.

Also another little on in the corner of my left eye from kneeboarding in high school, I fell off but didn't let go of the rope for a sec, let go, went underwater, came up, turned around and the kneeboard hit me in the face. Fun!

My kinda girl. Too bad I'm married and not in roo-land, lol.

Well I grew up in the South, and we're not the brightest people...

One 3" scar on my chest under the left collar-bone where my cousin got drunk and tried to stab me...

One on my right leg from getting attacked by a dog...

Pellet holes in my back from playing tag with .410 bird shot during my teenage days...

Pretty nice gash in my forearm from a rock-climbing accident...

Couple of nice lines on my left leg from getting tangled in barbed-wire...

Had a hole through my right foot from stepping on a board with a nail in it while running barefoot...

But all those were superficial...

The only bad injury was having surgery on my knee, but that only left a 1/2" scar... funny how that works out.

Those are the one's that stand-out... the rest aren't really worth mentioning lol.

As a kid, me and my friends used to sneak in construction sites at night or at weekends to play. One day we heard some noises and ran away scared. The back of my left leg got caught in a piece of metal, slicing it open. I still have a 15cm scar to show for it. Totally worth it, we had so much fun exploring around, haha.

I had a mole removed when I was 7 because it was abnormally large and the doctor thought that it could become cancerous later on in my life, so he chopped it off. I have a scar on my left arm in the shape of a surfboard that is a little bit smaller than a flash drive.

When I was in Preschool/Kindergarten...for some reason I was playing tag and ran straight into an open door. It tore the skin right above my right eye and left a scar for several years...can't really tell anymore...but yeah...^^

1 2-inch scar on each hip (bone grafts from hip bone to jaw)

1 4-inch scar on the fold of my neck right where they cut open to remove part of my jaw and then later replace with the hip bone grafts

i had a non-cancerous tumor that was eating my jaw away, it had to be removed and all that. wasnt even my fault at all, dentist removed my wisdom teeth and cleaned things up wrong and there was a space that got infected...

I have a three inch scar on the top right portion of my skull, from when I thought it a good idea to crack it open.

I have several scars on my face. One set is from a dog attack that went for my right eye, circling the eye with bite marks. The second set is from another dog attack, that tore into the right side of my face. Most of the scars are hard to see, but at least two on the right side are fairly visible. There's also probably a scar inside my mouth as well, since I distinctly recall the inside of my cheek being torn open. Another scar, very close to the upper left eye, is apparently from a radiator when I was younger. Basically I am lucky to not have been blinded on three occasions.

A scar on my right hand, on the skin webbing between the thumb and index finger there. From the second dog attack when I was trying to get it off me. The index finger also has a faint scar on wrist joint. Not sure what that was from - a door or something. My right arm in particular is riddled in cat scratches, and a few of them have turned into faint scars traveling across the arm. Cat nails are sharp, and they'll slice you open even if they don't meant to.

The other hand also has a scar, running back from the index finger a bit. This is from a screwdriver nicking me a time ago, I believe when I was working on computer hardware. There is one noticeable cat scratch along the bottom of the forearm as well.

Animals love me.

I had an accident a few weeks ago and my face is like a big open wound now. Some teeth are missing, nose and jawbone broken, left side of my face all open and my lips, eyebrows and nasal wings had to be stitched a few times.

I can edit some pics in when everything has healed a bit and scars show up under the scab.

I have some scars on my left elbow from when I broke it, three scars on left forearm from some emo episodes I had some years ago, a scar on my left knee from when I scrabed it as a kid, a scar near solar plexus from a skin disease I had as a kid and a scar under my left eye from another skin disease I had in my teens.

Man I just realized all my scars are pretty much on the left side. My right side is still a scar-virgin.

Pretty much the only scar I have is on my wrist from when I was went paint balling when I was in high school. The seal on the top of my co2 tank randomly broke while I was carrying my gun and my wrist was right next to the it and it basically blasted my wrist with really high pressure co2. It froze an area about the size of a quarter and because of the pressure it left it looking like there was a hole in my arm down to the bone. I actually didn't notice the co2 was hitting the side of my arm when the co2 seal broke because it froze that area almost instantly and I didn't feel it. Anyways after it thawed I had a massive blister/bubble on my arm for about a month and the skin in that area has been a little discolored ever since.

I don't have that many scars. One under my chin from falling/slipping in the bathtub when i was like 2 or 3 years old and smashing my chin on the edge. And another pretty big one on my right shin. Last winter, i slipped(you know like when you fall backwards, your legs shooting forward) on some ice and my shin hit the bottom step of a iron stairs. At first i thought i was just a bruise, but that night i found out i had a chunk of skin/flesh chipped of my shin lol.

I have two, and both are for silly reasons.

When I was much younger, I was swimming at a beach and got cut by a mussel. No stiches needed, but I got a scar on my knee for life.

When I was in Jamaica, I was using a Foosball table, and the handle broke off, cutting my finger just above the knuckle. I'm pretty glad I didn't get aids. When people ask me about it, I say it was from a sports injury.

scar located around 4 inches right of my belly button and its just a straight line 6 inches up past onto my pec past my nipple.

Scar happened during hockey game 2 years ago, body checked someone end over end, skateblade came up and sliced my stomach open, at first I didn't notice till I got to the bench and there was blood on my jersey : P was pretty intense, but after that sat 1 period got stiches and went back into the game. Was pretty scary at first though.

I have one on my leg, about 4-5 inches long right below the knee. I got the scarbecause I was with my friend in some foresty area by this bridge and there was a huge hill of pure dirt. Well, it had been raining the last few days so it was really muddy and my friend and I went to climb the hill, which was about 10 ft high. I start climbing it and got about half way where I slipped and my leg went over a broken beer bottle (damn polluters -.-) that was stuck in the mud. I had to ride home about a mile on my bike with my leg covered in blood and mud lol. I'm surprised nobody stopped me.

I have a scar above my left eyebrow, it was from jumping around on furniture with socks on when I was like 5 years old, I slipped on a wood table and my face went crashing into a corner of a table.

I remember going into shock and feeling no pain, I was bleeding so much that I cupped my hands over my face and after about 1 minute my hands were full of blood and I let my hands go and it splashed blood everywhere and my mom freaked out and then my dad rushed me to ER to get stitches.

1. little scar on my forehead from running into the corner of the wall excitedly while playing tag as a kid.

2. left eyebrow from high sticking in hockey. (Canada eh?)

3. right thigh. when i was about 10 my older brother wrecked my micro machine's I had setup in the living room, so we got in an epic fight that continued across the house to his room where I got him in a fury fuelled choke hold with my legs, in a desperate attemt not to die he reached out to an arrow he had in his room and stabbed me in the leg.

I was about 3-4, and I was running down the hallway chasing my lil brother.. next thing I knew I was on the ground and had a 6x1 inch gash across the side of my knee. To this day, we don't know what the hell caused it. weird. Was pretty gross though, I remember seeing the inside flesh and bone.

I have a V-shaped scar on my right arm from 5th grade. I had a roll of masking tape on my arm (my arm was the axle) and was rolling out pieces for my friend to cut because we were in a race to build something and this was the fastest method. My friend was cutting too fast, went too far, and cut my flesh.

I have a lot of scars. Specifically however, I have a couple that I am subconscious about and three other major ones.

The entire right side of my head up to about the fade line (haircut) is scarred and has about 15 places the hair won't grow. To make me feel better, people in my family say it looks like an intentional design from a haircut. It doesn't. The other one I am subconscious about is pretty well concealed by my glasses, but it stems from mid-right eyebrow to right where my eye socket stops. It's maybe 1/2 to 3/4 cm thick, but it's very ugly.

The three major ones of previous mention are on the outside of my right shoulder, my left knee, and my pride. The one on my right shoulder is from when I was stabbed when I was 15. It's pretty ugly, but 99% of the time concealed and more or less is just a battle wound that is roughly 1 1/2 inch by 3/8 inches. The one on my knee is around 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inch wide. I got tangled/tripped up by the seat-belt excitedly getting out of my mothers' car when I was 8 and busted my knee pretty bad. The third however is the worst and goes without necessary detail.

don't know why this is such a big deal, it seems silly to show off scars, I'd certainly be happier without mine...

Sounds familiar, but then again so many people have lightning scars on their foreheads so who knows...

I have a scar on my left eyebrow from doofing around on the jungle gym when I was little.

I also have a horizontal scar on my belly. I can't remember what its from, but hopefully something violent and exciting.

i was biking, and my foot slipped forward off my pedal, and hit the sidewalk and planted itself firmly there. my bike kept going, and the gear thats connected to the pedal was driven pretty hard into the back of my leg, so now i have a series of 3 circular scars on the back of my leg, basically like dimples on a golf ball, but a lot bigger.

also i counted about 17 burns/scars on my hands, but theyre all pretty small, and just from stupid shit like hockey and campfires from when i was a kid.

oh and i have a small rock embedded in the palm my hand. i fell on some pavement, and it got pushed through a cut under my skin, but above the flesh, and i never bothered to pick it out. its still visible through the skin 10 years later.

I got two decent scars from when a metal cabinet fell and pierced the skin of my hand.
I was too lazy to go the hospital for stitches, so the skin just closed up on its own leaving a a brownish mark on my hand and wrist.
In hindsight, I shouldve gotten stitches, so I wouldnt have had a scar, but it doesnt look that bad anyway.

wicked thread ----

i have two...

One on the back of my head from playing footwars with my dad... he pushed so hard i flew off the sofa and smashed my head on the table

the one im most proud of is when I was 16 I got drunk for the first time and my friends dared me to jump off my roof onto the trampoline and try and get on my neighbors roof. of course now i know it is near impossible. anyway made the jump hit the trampoline cleared the fence and smashed into a bunch of shit on the ground on the other side. at some point i ripped a 2 inch gash from my elbow to my wrist.... the worst part is we drove drunk to the hospital... wish i had a video of it for youtube was an epic jump.

Other one I have is mostly faded though can see the scar from when I spilled boiling water on my right arm as a kid. I don't remember it though. I have other small ones on my hands from working on computers and other random stuff.

I have a scar on my foot from end to end (size 11) from when I was a wee lad. My friend and I use to climb up this huge tree at his place and jump off onto his trampolene. Well, one morning I tried to do this, but there was a massive frost that night, and the tree was extremely slippery, this didn't seem to bother us, so we attempted it, to some success, however on my fourth run I slipped and fell down and landed on an axe. My pinky toe was severed but was successfully reattached. It was quite funny, I didn't realise I had been cut until my friend noticed the pool of blood under my leg. The pain came once I noticed, ouch.

I have quite a few scars, I'll start with what I remember the best

being about 6 or so a bunch of us relatives/friends went down to my uncle's farm for some sledding.Iit was kind of a valley with a big frozen pond on the bottom. Main sledding course curves left then right and then straight down. After I finished sledding I walked back up and a couple kids on a big ol metal plate, well you can bet they were going too fast to follow the course so they flew over that curving bank and right when I looked up and realized, BAM metal plate right to my forehead. I didn't feel all too much and just resumed walking back up the hill for more sledding and before I could go for another round, mom and someone else grabbed me all open eyed and in shock. I had no idea until after they dragged me into the house and put me right up front of a big mirror. Saw my whole head covered in blood.

Took me straight to the nearest ER and had both my arms held down while I was being sewed. I have no idea why because it didn't actually hurt much =/

Another scar that's probably my favorite is on the inside of my right knee from my brother and I taking turns surfing on a pos old wood board behind dad's old honda trail motorcycle. Brother is bigger, so pulling me was no problem. Switch up, me on the bike and my big brother ready to surf. That failed, the bike jerked up and the clawed foot petal landed right onto the inside of my knee. I liked the scar because it looked like a perfect "A" on it. Wish I still had a picture from it because it's kind of faded out a bit blah.

I know I have another scar on my forehead that I can't remember how, as well as a bunch of other small ones all over my body. Childhood memories is kind of blurry for a lot of parts =/

When I was about 8 I was at school and decided it would be fun to swing on 2 benches which were next to each other. It turned out i wasn't mega strong so my hands slipped of the benches and I went about a 1 foot and a 1/2 drop straight onto my chin. It hurt

Nice, you did a good job of it! That would have been an incredibly annoying spot to have a healing wound :/

I was holding a piece of wood for my dad to cut with a chainsaw when I was 12 and I didn't lock my elbow correctly for doing such a task and had my hand pulled into the chainsaw. 35 stitches and 13 years later all that's left are 2 small scars on my left middle finger and tip of my left index finger + a rather large scar running all the way along the side of my left thumb. I got incredibly lucky, no real permanent damage other than some very minor nerve damage in the tip of my thumb.

my knees are constantly pink from repeated tearing open by grass/dirt cuts from playing ultimate frisbee.

I have a dent in the skin next to my right eye from where I walked into a gate.

i also have a scar on the back of my left hand from where I hit myself with a hatchet...luckily I was wearing leather gloves at the time that softened the blow.

I was wondering if a thread like this existed, so I'll use it properly so the bump is justified.

Pic Spoilered. This is my way of advising you people to never take up a labor job involving the fabrication of annealed glass of any kind. Ever.

You wouldn't believe how this looked when it was opened. There was tons of blood, and ER visit, EMTs, and so on. This is what it looked like 8 weeks later. That red blotch is a severed tendon, too.
