I suppose what you are asking, is if you would get a vitamin overdose. The answer is no, the amount of vitamins is so little that you don't need to worry about it. Unless of course you purposedly eat too many.

Actually, this wasn't what I was talking about - I actually heard that if you drink it with milk, it will nullify the effects of the vitamin - I guess by "dissolving the vitamin and surrounding it with its powerful lactic acid" or whatever. I know that if you take excess vitamins that it'll just go out in your piss and stuff. About the very _nice_ belgium comment that I will only forgive because Grot is such a good commentator ;D, males I believe need zinc for good penile growth and such, so it's a good idea to take a multivitamin anyway.

In fact, it would be better to take them with milk, since many vitamins dissolves in fat, not water. If you do not consume fats along with the vitamins or at least within a certain period after taking them, alot of them will get lost. That is why it says "Should be taken along with a meal" on the package.

For one, eating triggers the bodies response to put more acid in your stomach which helps the vitamin dissolve, 2) your body is more accepting of this rush of chemicles when it is expecting food via digestion then when you just pop a pill on an empty stomach, and 3) some vitamin coatings are too strong and will literally just sit there in your stomach causing discomfort as it digests more slowly. That is utterly wrong/stupid. Taking synthetic vitamins will not irritate your stomach. It does not matter where they come from, it is the same vitamins. Gastic acid does not dissolve vitamins. What you mean is that when you eat fats that contain vitamins, the gastic acid dissolves the fat and and thereby extracts the vitamins. When taken as a supplement the vitamins have to be dissolved, otherwise they will just go through the stomach and get lost in the urine. It is true that when vitamins are taken as capsules, the coating needs to be dissolved by the gastric acid, before the vitamins can be of any use.
