i dont know what that guys on about but in some asian country's men have long pinky nails to represent wealth, because the nail would probably break if they would have to do manual labor.

I get what you mean though, I once broke my nail halfway down the plate while I was bowling. At the time I even had short nails. I haven't bowled since.

I'm pretty neutral about the earrings but I believe men are to keep their nails short. However, I prefer long nails but I don't like people seeing me have really long nails so I keep them short.

earrings are way worse then long fingernails. at least nails can have some functionality while earrings are only about fashion/looks

Earrings on men.. Some guys can pull it off, others look like complete dicks. Short fingernails for men, for sure.

Personally I cut my fingernails fairly regularly as they start bothering me as they grow, and I haven't used any jewellery other than my dog tags after childhood.

I can't even stand long fingernails at women. I just don't like it. Its not practicall at all. Earings can easily make a man look like a douchbag so no on them, too.

I'm an avid nail-biter, so long nails could never be an option even if I wanted it to be. I'd never were earrings, i guess mostly because i hate "standing out" in a crowd. What others were and how they look doesnt concern me at all though, people could were clown dresses tor all i care.

Fingernails meh, earings I don't have anything strongly against them but I can recognise that the majority of people (in my country at least) who wear them are chav pricks.

Short finger nails is superior.
1: I study for lab assistant, gloves get torn.
2: I work part time as a mason, my nails break off if i don't cut them, like all of it.

I would never wear earings and don't thing that men look favorably with them, but I can understand if somebody thinks otherwise.
However, long fingernails on men (and to some degree on women, too) are plain terrible. Not only are they beyond impractical, but they are also gross.

Keep them cuticles nice and tidy if you ever want to go spelunking in something other than a cave.

well fingerpicking a guitar, nosepicking and that just to mention some that ppl aready posted about but you can start from poking your aggressor eyes out and go wild from there!
also to note: only people that work (out) break their nails!. someone else already mentioned in here that a long pinky nail is a social status statement (somewhere) and he seems to have a point.
