Note: a number of sources are saying that Beast Master Casey has been suspended for 4 days and that the rat boy was suspended for 21. Look around for more sources please. |

Casey was definitely justified in defending himself because if he didn't they wouldn't have stopped picking on him. Teenagers are just too young at that age, that talking to them wouldn't do any good. He shouldn't have picked the guy and thrown him though. From watching the video the skinny guy landed literally on his neck which could have actually killed or paralyzed him. Even though it didn't happen it could have. Of course Casey isn't going to be thinking rationally because he snapped after being picked on for so long and he's really young also. I don't think bullies deserve to die or be paralyzed because if we all think back when we were their ages we were dumb as fuck and didn't know any better. But I do think you should defend yourself in most cases of bullying.
Well said OP - Well said "Ilikestarcraft"! Any teenager kid would naturally snap, but like you said, what he did could have caused irreparable harm.
I was bullied in grade 8/9 (Australian highschool for 13-14 years old). Heck I went to a public high school after attending a really sheltered primary school where everybody was nice to each other. But through the bullying incidences I learned and grew a lot. I realised that I had been arrogant to others and disrespected people who were less academically inclined. I learned that disrespect and disdain is one of the most offensive things to do to people, let alone egotistic teenagers.
Through the incidences I got to finish highschool a lot more mature, and I even got to know Jesus Christ who has shown me how to live life, how to love and how sinful I was. I forgave those who bullied me in the past, because: 1. they don't know better (teenage/hormones/family issues/peer pressure) 2. School did nothing about it (didn't teach the bullies to do any better) 3. I antagonised them through my disdain/haughty disrespect
And really - life is too short to be bitter or hateful. But I think schools really need to address bullying so that a sense of 'justice' can be taught to every student - after all, if you never got punished for speeding, wouldn't you keep speeding?

For people saying that Casey should've been more "careful" (punching instead of slamming the kid)... you know it's probably hard to reason when people you hate are ruining your life and humiliating you. Besides, even if the little kid was paralyzed or killed, so be it - it would simply be the result of twisted human nature and his crimes. I'd rather that happen than an innocent kid becoming depressed and possibly suicidal because of bullying.
It's more serious than "some 6th grade bullshit." What if Casey had bottled his anger longer and eventually decided to kill the kids instead?

God. One of the most satisfying videos I've seen in a long time.

Play with fire and you're gonna get burned. Play with someone's mental state and eventually they're gonna freak out and want to snap your neck.
Why do you think we have so many laws against this? Why do you think it's so serious when it happens with adults in a work environment? It's because it doesn't matter who you are, if people push your buttons long enough you can't keep your cool. Some people are so indoctrinated by the 'you're not allowed to fight' rules of our society that they kill themselves before they break this code. I'd rather a dumb kid almost get his neck snapped than someone innocent commit suicide. Only thing this kid did wrong was not stick up for himself sooner, before it escalated to this point.

hugo front throw yo
props to the kid for pullin dat off

Ehhh I don't even know how I really feel about this. The kid sticking up for himself made me go "FUCK YEAH, SHOW THAT LITTLE SHIT!", but that was pretty damn brutal. I don't think Casey honestly meant to hurt him that bad. You have to consider that he doesn't actually know how to fight properly and felt that was his best bet to come out on top, especially with the huge adrenaline rush he must have had. I don't think a suspension was out of line for Casey though. I don't blame him for what he did, but they still need to let him know that he wasn't in line for what he did. I feel sorry for the kid (Casey) =/. As for the little shit, considering he didn't have his neck broken or anything, give the fucker that 21 days.
in summary: I don't think Casey meant to hurt him that bad, but you can't blame him. The little kid had it coming. suspensions are fine imo
edit: well I suppose I do know how I feel about it now. had to write it out to get my thoughts straight lol

This video seriously made my day. The kid completely got what he deserved.

to me, the saddest part about this whole thing is that there are many more kids that we do not know of that are getting bullied and terrorized by their bullies everyday. such an event only reminds us on how severe bullying is and how hard we need to work to clamp down on it

JMave has struck gold. Exactly the point the OP is making

I love the people trying to argue that Casey could have taken a more technical way of resolving the issue. Instead of slamming him, why not PUNCH him? No. That's not how it works. If that kid Casey was getting bullied, his confidence was no doubt low. He probably didn't even realize he could do that sort of damage. So he just went for it. And it was well deserved. I wouldn't care if that little kid had been seriously injured. Young or not, you should know when you're seriously affecting an individuals life. Bullying especially has a huge effect on children. Fantastic job on Casey's part.
Also, people shouldn't be saying "Oh you should tell when you're being bullied!" What's that going to do? It's a small bandage to a bleeding wound. People shouldn't be bullying in the first place. The child got what he deserved. Being told to not do something is not a good way to teach someone. Showing them what happens if you do, however, is.

LOL Just noticed, the Kid who comes to defend the rat kid after, the tall one, almost trips as he's walking away as the video ends :p
|
The kid didn't shoot up the school, and only reacted after being bullied (probably for a very long time, you don't randomly start punching kids you don't know). There's no way this kid could have controlled what he did, the teachers/parents of the smaller kid are at fault for allowing this to grow for so long, the big kid didn't have control, all he saw was red.

Kid got what he deserved, that's it. If he had gotten seriously injured, too bad. He shouldn't have been trying to be cute and fuck with a guy twice his size.

I used to get bullied quite a bit when I was in Primary School. (also from Australia) I can remember multiple times where the bully, (That's right I remember your name BEN!) got a lighter sentence than myself, just because I snapped and retaliated. I can even remember the Principle telling me "You should'nt have responded like that" and me thinking "Well WHAT THE F&%# ELSE AM I MEANT TO DO?" For the record this all happened in grade 7, which is the final Primary year in Queensland.
God I'm glad school is over.
IMO Props to Casey for finally standing up for himself. Took me 7 years to do that.

Some of you people need a reality check.
Everyone says the little kid is only doing 'what kids do' but then condemn Casey saying he could have killed him.
You have to realize Casey probably has no idea to fight but once a kid like that who cops shit from people for ages snaps, they have no control over what they are doing, it is all just a rush of blood.
The scrawny kid is a piece of crap and frankly I wouldn't care if he was seriously injured, but the main problem here is how bullying STILL happens in schools and teachers/schools still have no real control over it (Parents are also to blame in this situation).
I live in Australia and am actually studying to be a secondary teacher (I did some IT work in a school for a year in 2009) and no matter what schools do they still can't stop bullying (I think there needs to be a lot more awareness projects on it).
Not sure what it is like in other countries but I hope it is a lot better than it is in Australia, our culture is pretty fucked right now.

Ya - I was lucky primary school was a little easier... I actually joined in bullying an indonesian girl in grade 6, totally not proud of it. The principal came to our classroom, and just said "All the boys who are bullying ____ come with me". I was @#$% scared... but a one of the more mature boys stood up and then we all went .... very shameful for a bunch of us to all bully one girl who is trying to fit in.
The Australian culture tends to be... if he hits you, you punch him back. But then the official bullying policy says you can't hit someone back, you gotta tell the principal. Man what is a kid supposed to do? Take the shame of being bullied verbally/physically, go "Dob" on the teacher, and get bullied EVEN MORE for dobbing on someone? "dibby dobber! You're a wussy dibby dobber!!"

The only disappointing thing was that he didn't teabag him at the end

This video hit home, as someone who was also bullied physically in high school. Being scrawny myself and usually outnumbered at each encounter, it was like a flash back seeing this kid in this situation, although the skinny person this time was the bully.
I really don't blame Casey for having it come to this point, because he might've done what administrators think is right. He probably told on them, tried to refrain from violence, etc. but you can see how well that works.
I think what people are really afraid of is the extreme levels of violence that occur, i.e., with guns. As far as just throwing a punch back or power bombing the punks, do it. Don't believe in the watered down methods for stopping bullying.

I've seen incident like this happen in my high school a few time where a little kid with his group of friends bully some big guy and then he just snaps and fucks the little guy up. I said the same thing about this incident as I said with those, the little kid had it coming. Regardless of whether he could have been killed or paralyzed, HE HAD IT COMING! You mess with someone who is bigger than you and they snap, be prepared for a world of hurt.
