Hello TL.
This was just brought to my attention:

Casey
This kid, Casey(the larger kid in the video), have, supposedly, been bullied for years. The bullies thought that they for once would record them bullying him to show the internet just how tough they are. Casey snapped, grabbed the kid and slammed him to the ground. After years of bullying he finally had enough.
I was bullied for years aswell, but I never had the guts to actually retaliate. For that, I give Casey a cheer. He showed these kids that they can't do whatever the fk they want. Hopefully, these kids have learned their lesson and will leave Casey alone.
The school doesn't quite understand how it feels to be in Casey's shoes. Casey got suspended for this act.
The thing that hurt me most when i was bullied was not the punches and kicks i recieved, but that the school didn't do anything about it...

EDIT 2: Since alot of people was asking and wondering: This happened in Australia.
EDIT(again): A number of sources are saying that Casey got suspended for 4 days, while Richard, the bully, got suspended for 21 days. We won't know for sure wether this is true or not until the school itself state otherwise. So take that in consideration!

I disagree, Casey took it way too far, could've easily killed the kid.
Rather would've seen Casey beat the shit out of that smaller kid, which he easily could have, rather take it to that level.
With great size, comes great responsibility.

I love to see a bully get owned - but the way he did it could have easily killed the small guy. So suspension is correct imho.

He naturally must be punished for what he did, but that doesn't mean he wasn't justified in finally snapping.
If that kid had landed just slightly different, it looks like he could have snapped the boy's neck. I'd have much preferred to see him land some punches on the bastard's face and body rather than body slam him into the ground, something that could very well have killed him.
Regardless, I don't think anyone can feel any real sympathy for those bullies.

According to a comment it says the other dude got suspended to....let's keep it objective...
I don't agree with either kid there. Obviously the little kid wanted to impress some girls, hormones and all...the big kid probably reacted because he was being videotaped and wanted to act tough. Both of em at fault.

The kid, and everybody supporting him should have had their head kicked in. Why wasn't this done in the first place? I remember when i first joined a new school and tried to get bullied i retaliated straight away, was never touched again. Good job though!

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand your argument, you want him to beat the smaller kid up, wich he didn't, wich you think was too far?
Or are you implying that several punches to the kids face, maybe a few kicks to the chest would have been better, and less harmful?

I think a few punches in the face and chest wouldn't have hurt the kid at all, except his ego.
A body slam on the floor, a few degrees off, could've broken the kids neck.
So yeah, I think punching the smaller kid is a better option.
Even a few kicks to the chest, would've definitely been a lot less harmful then throwing the kid upside down on the floor, pretty damn close to head first on the pavement.

4chan brought this video to my attention last night well actually a friend through msn sent me the link and I have to say at first you think its the skinny kid who got bullied, but then your like OSHIT its the chubby kid. TBH its w/e Ive seen much worse videos, videos that have burnt images into my head. The kid got what he deserved, the chubby kid should have be awarded.

yeah... except that if you punch back there is a fight happening and it's just gonna escalate because a boxing match is clearly exactly what the little asshole wants
and the issue isn't "what was the proper recourse" the issue is that the chubby kid was getting punched in the fucking face repeatedly and any sane human is going to snap after that

All the more reason not to provoke people who can physically lift you up and slam you by hitting them in the face
