but i guess i could survive, unless i'm taken out in my sleep  I'm a pretty good shooter, own 2 guns myself and work out a lot. my stamina is pretty good as well. so i actually think i could survive such a thing. | ||

Also, when I look outside the window, there are already enough zombies for my taste (only, instead of eating me, they eat at MCDonals, plus you don't get to shoot them in the face). Even IF your family were safe, even IF mankind would survive and the world would be rebuilt, who in their right mind would even consider this? Lets say the zombies are gone, you probably had to bury a few friends and relatives, maybe even kill them and people slowly start returning to normal. You'll: - be traumatized for the rest of your life and will probably drown your sorrow in violence, alcohol or suicide - the best you can hope for is a life of hard labor, since everything has to be rebuilt and few people are left. Noone will care for your degree or your titles, basic labor will be all there is to do for quite some time - it would take decades, maybe centuries to return back to a globally civilized state. Not only yourself, but also your children, grandchildren etc. will live in a world that's inferior in every way imaginable to the one before the zombie apocalypse | ||

After a few months at most, the vast majority of Zombies would be dead. So the trick would be to survive the first crucial hours and to aquire the tools necessary to survive the coming months. Some weapons and a lot of ammo, a lot of canned food, vitamin pills and some medical supplies, a few good maps and a LOT of bottled water, all to be loaded onto a nice Yacht. After this, redoing human civilasaton could actually be quite fun. A lot of problems and challenges, of course, but other problems would become quite irrelevant. -overpopulation ? solved -not enough oil reserves ? last for more than 10.000 years for so few survivors probably -global warming ? all emissions are being cut dramatically -wars over territory ? not to be expected, more than enough Earth for the few survivor groups -unemployment ? more than enough to do rebuilding civilization -your boss yelling at you and being a general asshole ? just move one forming community further in any direction I think I'll pass on sex with zombie girls though, I'd rather prefer real alive girls who'd be grateful for the prepared zombie apocalypse survivor saving them. | ||

First thing I'd do is join up with all my friends who own guns then raid whatever gun stores haven't been raided yet. Then raid the grocery store and battle our way to the ocean where we'll hold up on a oil rig in the ocean because zombies can't swim or operate machinery. | ||

Depends on what kind of zombies you are go by... some believe the virus would resit 100% of viruses, as such no decay at all. So the zombie would litterally be walking until the last bit of flesh falls from it's flesh through bumping into things or being shot in head. This type of zombie would last FOR EVER really... I mean doesn't die until shot in face? Or untill it gets enough bumps and bruises that all of its organs and flesh have rubbed off onto stuff... ya going to take A LOT time. If its the type that has pretty much 100% human mobility... it would be hard for anyone to survive the first few months. I mean hell... If I didn't care about hurting my self, kocking down doors, walls, windows wouldn't be that hard... and considering there is usually like a 1000:1 ratio of zombies to alive people, thats like 1000 people trying to knock down my door with their full strength, you won't make it. The only kind of zombie that you could out last is the decaying, slowly shambling ones... which ya... | ||
