Blade Runner is also great, but truth be told, sci-fi in general (and cyberpunk in particular) is pretty poorly represented in most mainstream film+tv media. What with prospective Hollywood adaptations like Neuromancer, Forever War, Battle Angel Alita, GitS, etc. etc. that'll hopefully change for the better. Wait, who am I kidding?  If you liked Neuromancer, definitely check out Snow Crash, and with a more modern flavour, Rainbows End. | ||

A Scanner Darkly/Dark City are probably the best films, but for "got me into the whole thing", Akira/GITS. Still love the original GITS movie, so good for it's time. | ||

hands down the best; the first too for dome if you don't count metropolis; bladerunner did more for the cyberpunk genre than any other.. my personal favorite will always be THX-1138 but arguably some will consider include it pre-cyberpunk anyway this thread is owned by this site: http://cyberpunkreview.com/ hope it helps tl cp fans ~ | ||
