Not nearly enough people have seen Dark City. If I had to suggest just one, that would be it. On September 10 2010 22:33 Piy wrote: Star Wars? Not cyberpunk, more of a space opera.

This is archetypal cyberpunk (meaning it's probably exactly what you are looking for, but at the same time that it doesn't have the most original story elements), and the main draw is how well it creates a unique visual experience that goes hand in hand with that feel.

More dystopian than cyberpunk, but still worth to watch: Escape from NY Escape from LA Tank girl And if you love neuromancer you will love the HL2 mod Dystopia. The mod is based on the novels. So you got the whole ICE/cyberspace stuff, you got camouflage suits and so on. For the guy who recommended NeoTokyo, there is also a HL2 mod called NeoTokyo. Great graphics, set in future japan.

Reminds me I need to rewatch Blade Runner. Edit: Total Recall is a must.

All the films listed so far are between decent and great, but this one...it just sucks. It sucks badly. The story is simplistic, the characters are transparent (specially the hero), the dialogues seem to have been written by me when I was 11, the visuals get boring really fast (GITS' ones are WAY better), the final twist leaves no room for any interpretation, it is just a lame moral shit that is SO expected...and the thing is it's French, I'd like to defend it in any way but I fucking can't.
