Meh, not so bad. This is 100x less cheesy than Mortal Kombat Annihilation...so far. I think the past failures of fighting game adaptations were caused by focusing too much on fight scenes and lack of build up. I hope they can do something new with the characters.

It almost went bad at some moments but overall okay in the light of the c-standard series that is the mortal kombat.

a) Hey, its Helo.
b) Would have rather seen Sonya vs Kano.
c) But yeah its quite generic for the first episode.

That was very lackluster for a first episode. Doesn't make me want to watch more. Actors forced the dreaded dialogue and it really didn't hook me in at all.

I also hate it when directors use slow motion for action sequences. It really loses the omfg effect.

Pretty bad episode imo. When i think of MK I think of Raiden, Sub-zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang, and not uhmmm ..... SWAT ?. Random slow-mo as Sonja walks out was also a WTF moment, I rewinded maybe they're trying to show something, but nope it's just a slow-mo for the heck of it.

pretty sure the story is going to differ from the sales pitch. i remember seeing photos from the cast/filming and they had baraka totally looking like his videogame counterpart, compared to the movie pitch. think (hope) they are trying to divert the series into a more surreal theme that MK is based on/ although episode 1 (and i just watched episode 2 5 mins ago) sure as hell didn't do that :/

also the episodes are two dam short and has a noticeable lack of a certain few masked warriors

After seeing the trailer for Rebirth last year I was pretty excited about this but so far Legacy has been terrible, today's episode should have been tagged on to last week's, if they played the horrible slow motion in normal speed they probably would have fitted the second episode on to the first one and been okay for time. The hand-to-hand fights between Jax and Kano were okay in each episode but everything else was awful, poorly delivered clichéd dialogue, a nonsensical plot, a dire gun battle, ugh, very disappointing...
