I have this really ugly shirt, that says Hoby 2000 on it. Like, the color of this shirt is seriously some weird poop green. I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to even THINK of that color, let alone put it on a shirt. Anyway, It says Hoby 2000 on the front, and on the back it says some stuff about Idaho (where I live) is always being mistook as Ohio, and now we're actually on the map. I dk, I found it in my room one time, and I just started wearing it. I've worn it to every concert I've been to since it's conception. It missed a few good ones, but the rest that it's seen have been as epic.
Oh yeah, and it has like these weird raggedy holes all over the neck brim, and the bottom brim part. It's really kind of trashy looking when I think about it, but i don't really care. It's my lucky shirt.
But yeah, so when I think of names now, I just use hoby2000, because it's like... my lucky shirt, and NO ONE else is going to take it. Unless someone starts right now, that would be kind of annoying.

It's quite simple.
My name is Max.
I played through Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby, and there's a character named Maxie, and I thought it sounded great.
Not more than that to it.
Oh, and hello TL. Quite fitting that the first post I make here is such an "introduction", if you could call it that.

Because they are my 'supposed' breed of cat.
Part Asian Leopard & American Tabby. Most expensive cat to adopt to date. Thought it'd be a sweet name.

I was in the 3rd grade, playing SC BW with my neighbors and came up Zlasher. Unfortunately I guess everyone thinks I took it off of the Quake/LO3 figure Slasher =\

When I was in eighth grade, I noticed that on the periodic table, iron is abbreviated as "Fe." So I asked the teacher what Fe stood for. I thought he said Ferrose. So I was like "Cool! It means iron. *makes Xbox gamertag*" and it just kinda stuck and now I use it on everything.

Back in the days of X-band (yes I played super nintendo online) my friend was named soup, and was listed as one of the 20 coolest names on x-band. I thought that was awesome and eventually stole his name for counter strike, at which point he changed his name to sigma. As I got older, I realized how ridiculously stupid gamer tags are, so I would use random words occasionally, such as apple, just to poke fun at the stupidity of these nicknames. Eventually I adopted Applesoup, which I think is an awesome idea for a soup. (side note, one day I googled applesoup to find out it is actually a real thing)

Well ever since 8th grade (up to now) I had very long curly hair. I mean shoulder length with huge beautiful curls that drove females crazy ;P After awhile with this hair-do my friends cousin came out and said I am going to call you Fluffy because your hair is fluffy. Ever since then I have stuck to it and enjoy the nickname Fluffy.
Sadly I cut the hair off so I am not sure if I should switch names to something else or if I should just keep going by Fluffy

Joseki is a term in the board game Go that refers to a evenly matched set of plays between players that set up the structure for a longer more involved game. I'm a macro player in SC, so it seemed to fit nicely.

im named after one of if not the gratest hong kong movie actor KARL MAKA

I chose Tuneful because I'm an opera singer. It's an adjective I liked and I had never tried to incorporate music into any previous online handles, so I figured I would take a new direction with this one. It also leaves the door open for all kinds of music jokes when something goes horribly wrong in game..

Originally i played counter-strike by the name Raudrefur (Red-Fox in Icelandic). Everything went well for a couple of months, but one day i signed on and there was some guy who had stolen my nick and claimed it to be his. Then I decided to use a name so lame that nobody would ever steal it from me, so I decided on Bollasúpa (Bolli= cup, súpa= soup) which was my favorite nighttime snack :D

Bisu because he is a hot korean progamer!

I was stuck trying to come up with a name that wasn't embarassing, after spending many years roleplaying on WoW.
A few days before sc2 came out, I was listening to Saeglopur by Sigur Ros. After looking up the band, turns out "Sigur" is icelandic for "victory".
At the time I was planning on playing starcraft 2 competitively. It felt like it made sense.

Hmm I used to use kirby in all my names, because i love kirby :D but then i saw Glasse as a hero in DoE(warcraft 3) (desert of exile, from the maker of advent of the zenith, which are both AoS games that are 30 times better than dota. They are harder so thats why they did not get so much popular)
So yea.. my name came from Glasse Ahrsonne, the Lightbender

It's kickass. No, seriously. I just thought it up. Totally random, thought it sounded kinda cool. And it didn't spring from 'Thor' in any form, either. Not the greek god. Been using it where it isn't taken since 2000 for BW. Other than that, Twinwarrior.

I was in chemistry class and we were talking about pyrolysis. I wanted a new name. Some guy already took pyrolysis on battle.net. So I asked some dude on the xkcd forums what the latin word for cold was, and he said kpyo. I still don't know whether or not that's actually true.
If we hadn't done that in chemistry, I probably would have had something to do with Sumer/Snow Crash. Maybe Asherah or Enki? I don't know.

I read a really good book and a very minor character was basically head demon secretary/ accountant and his name was Daliniues. I liked the way it sounded so I used it.

I was playing RO and the name Kamikaze was taken so I looked up translations and DivineWind was one of them. Now I think it sounds better than kamikaze
