P.S. I played on GunZ before ijji, before cash items, and before alt codes were restricted in names. I was in the best gunz team, I don't remember your name at all. You're either lying or think you were better than you were. (I don't mean this in a mean way, but it was a smallish game and I can remember most of the good players) I got my name from a band's song I like called "The Argus" by ween, the argus was some myth creature thing, and its last name was panoptes (the name I use for every other thing, and the name i used on gunz) it was taken on here or something which is why i couldn't use it here =/
Of course you wouldn't remember the name PhuxPro. I didn't make that until AFTER I heard it. My old account's name was Notoria. I've fought plenty of the popular players. I distinctly remember the clan named Chosen Ones. I was able to join that one. And remember, I'm talking about the old NA Gunz. Anyway, what was your username?

Since 'Husky' is almost always taken I couldnt think of anything else so I just repeated it with the word 'The' in the middle. In games I usually just go by Husky though if I'm able.

Afterhours - Was sitting in my room, trying to come up with a WC3 Battle.net name for DotA. My old room was covered in club/rave/massive flyers and posters, I looked around for inspiration and found one that was called After Hours. I thought about it, and chuckled that most of my gaming time was very late at night, between 10pm and 6am, so naturally the name fit.
Been stuck on it ever since. Love the sound of it. =P

I saw Miss Cleo commercials when I was younger and thought they were hilariously bad. Then she went to jail for fraud so I thought it would be funny to have her as my name.

My name is shortened from the Greek/Roman deity Aeolus. The name makes sense for several reasons. I'm a huge ancient Rome nerd, with an ongoing study of Latin; and I'm a trumpet player, a brass instrument of the wind family. Aeolus is of Roman divinity, and presides over the wind.
I shortened it mostly to make it easier on everyone else. Seemed as though more people would call me "Aelous" than anything else, but occasionally someone would come up with a whacky spelling. Chalk it up to illiteracy, unfamiliarity, or plain old laziness, it's easier when it's Aeo.
... Maybe that should be my motto or something. Hrm.

Diablo 2 was basically the first game that I needed to make a long-term account for (first game I played online <3) so I tossed around names and came out with Fullplate, as in full plate mail/armour/whatever.
It is kind of stupid, but it's stuck with me for a long time now, so I don't really want to change it

I played CoD 1 under the name orange. But there was an admin on mah fave server who had the same name, and threatened to ban me several times until I changed it  Thus, a_monkey was born. Unfortunately SC2 doesn't allow underscores D:<<<<

I am massively unoriginal and have never had a cool alias. Unfortunately most forums have "scott" already taken, so I add 3 y's in an even more unoriginal fashion.

okay Nalta
it was... holy crap, four or five years ago already,
and I was planning on getting WoW soon, and I know that I would need a cool nickname to go by.
So i was chillin' at my friends birthday party, and we were like twelve or something, everyone was asleep, and I was wandering around his house wearing my "Hard Rock Atlanta" t-shirt, thinking about what would make an okay name...
so I wandered into his bathroom and stated at myself in the mirror thinking,
"Atlanta... at lan.."
that sounded dumb, so i just started flipping the letters around,
"Atnal Ta... At... Nalta... Nalta..."
So it was round 2am and i wander back to my sleeping bag, and the next morning, i get picked up from the party with my dad sitting in the car with WoW right there for me. "Nalta!" I said, "That's the name im going to use!"
Well i didn't actually play wow for that long (i got bored at lev 31, im lazy like that) and that name just kinda stuck in my games ever since.

i was pretentious and young and thus needed a pretentious word encompassing all that is awesome when one is pretentious and young - destruction, seizing of power etc.
but yeah, u just tend to stick with an alias once u got it, it stops really meaning anything anyway

It's my full name spelled backwards which is cool, and it's unique so it's pretty much the name I always use for anything game-related/websites.

When coming up with a screen name, my thought of the day was about hypocrisy. So a more description term for the said word is Pot calls Kettle Black. And Kettle is a brand of chips that I like at the time. So it becomes Pot + chip as in Kettle Chips. The number of people on Bn wanted to show their coolness by associating the Pot in my id with a plant has been a source of amusement ever since. Because of this, I also use another alias HappyHighHerbs which is the name of an Alt herbal remedy shop around where I live. Needless to say it stirs the cool kids on Bn more so. My opponents happens to be high on more than half the games etc. So far only one person positively identified it's source and that was a fellow Melbournian, no surprise there.

i basically chose this name because in GW you needed to have Word (space) Word minimum, and "Disciple Of ______" always fit whatever i wanted it to, such as "Disciple Of Dwayna"
everyone started calling me Disciple (or Discipline for the smart ones who can't read) ever since then. before that my name was Gurganee, just a random thing i made up in 5th grade o_O
