I was making a hunter in WoW, but couldn't think of a name. So I started translating "Archer" into random languages. German gave me "Erz", but I thought it looked better with the double Zs. Now I use it all the time. Ironically my hunter uses a gun now... But meh.

When I was a tiny little bugger, I used to play GunZ frequently. As much as I don't want this to be a gloating comment, I was one of those extremely good players -- with my godlike K-Style and near-perfect aim. I used to do duels with these popular players, can't recall their names, on Gladiator Arena. 6 players on those balconies watching a pro and me fight to the death.

Well, I killed this guy three times in a row, and I guess a lot of players knew him. One guy on the ledge/balcony typed ƒux pro. Yeah, alt codes were awesome and high-tech. Basically, the translation for that is, "fuck, a pro" or "holy fuck, a pro."

I typed in /bow and left the game! From then on, I started using PhuxPro as a username.

P.S. I played on GunZ before ijji, before cash items, and before alt codes were restricted in names.

I was in the best gunz team, I don't remember your name at all. You're either lying or think you were better than you were. (I don't mean this in a mean way, but it was a smallish game and I can remember most of the good players)

I got my name from a band's song I like called "The Argus" by ween, the argus was some myth creature thing, and its last name was panoptes (the name I use for every other thing, and the name i used on gunz) it was taken on here or something which is why i couldn't use it here =/

Cap'n Jazz is one of the most awesome bands ever and I love the sound of the name. I use it since I had to chose a name in the Starcraft 2 Beta and I kept it.

My original name was Heero, from Gundam Wing. But then I had this bad reputation on some Condition Zero servers, and my clan died. So I switched over to unneverminD. unneverminD was nice, but people started complaining that they couldn't say my name fast enough when they needed help. I thought it was kind of funny, so I switched it later to Bliss and the name stuck. Now they know me as a hacker in the servers, but that's fine since those clans died off in popularity. So I use Green and Blue occasionally when I want to be anomynous. My favourite was when I was playing as Blue, but my picture said Green, and some random guy started raging that I was lame to have a different colour picture than my name. But I keep Bliss here since no one thinks I hack.

I was looking for something different and foreign-sounding back during my WC3 days, if not earlier. Something unlikely to be chosen.

While searching for translators I found a Drow one and started typing in random words.

Paladin was Daxunyrr, and I thought that sounded kinda cool.

And ever since, I've been Daxunyrr across the webz.

back in '97 when I first started to play warcraft 2, I needed a nick. I couldn't think of anything so I just grabbed a dictionary, opened to a random page, and pointed to a random word. That word was Cipher. Cipher was taken so I switched it to Sypher.

About a year later, The Matrix came out and "Cipher/Sypher/Cypher/etc" became really popular. I really hated having such a popular name, but could never think of anything unique. One of my gaming buddies started to jokingly call me "Siffer" on vent and it just kinda stuck.

I now have an extremely unique name

edit: "Siffer" is apparently "Number" or "Digit" in swedish.

My name on Tl was Day[10] at first (suxks, right?), but then I got a PM saying I had to change it, so I thought about things I was doing recently, and I had been watching a crapload of terminator movies.

I loved thor rushing people in copper in the beta, I would lose a game.. thor rush... lose a game thor rush. So I stayed in copper.

I had also recently read that Arnold Schwarzeneger was doing the voice acting for Tah Thor. That made me roflstomp so hard..... So Thoreezhea it was......

Looking back on it the Terminator 1 and 3 and 4 sucked.. and i would rather have it something else... but thats besides the point isn't it?
