It is from August 15-23. I just heard about it when reading the news. Usain Bolt broke 100m record again with a blazing 9.58s beating out Gay and Powell. There were also finals for the 20k walk and shot put for mens. The event finals that finished for women are the 10k, 20k walk, heptathon, and shot put. For the total gold medals by country, Russia is in the lead with 2 gold medals. :D
I'm just wondering if there are any track and field fans that knows the streams to this. Im trying to search around and didnt find any yet.

Maybe he is just genetically superior to all other runners. Maybe he is on stim packs, I don't know but this is something that needs to be investigated further. Bolt ran - within one year - 0,16 seconds faster than his first WR.

Interesting that Jamaicans are dominating the short distances so much. Jamaica has like 2,8million inhabitants, thats like half the populationsize of denmark.
Am I the only one that noticed that gay ran as fast as bold the last 40 meters or so. Seems his top speed is the same, he lost it during the first part of the run. Pretty amazing. Makes me wonder if gay could develop a better start and then maybe actually have a chance vs bolt.
I think bolt is legit. he's just a freak of nature, but he was destroying records since he was 15 anyway - whereas most doping cases have people suddenly improving a lot. (and if you compare this world record to the one he set in beijing, remember that record wouldve been 0.15 better or so if he didnt slow down towards the end. )
Jamaican antidoping system sucks, theres like non. Bad testing during training season etc. If u think legit guy can win then ur naive. Marion Jones caught doping, and after that tried come back as a legit runner, 0,5sec worse results... She was never caught by any tests, alltho she was tested over 200 times.
I have been reading lot of stuff about doping and how it affects ur results. Few experts believe its impossible to run under 10secs without doping T_T.
