Happystick got banned (then later unbanned) for briefly discussing a cheat site on stream, not even in the osu client. I'm waiting for a keylogger to be added to osu exe that runs in the background and autobans you for typing certain words lol

I was thinking a bit more about mouse recently.

tl;dr doomsday and cptnxn are two of the best if not the best mouse players (especially since funorange quit) - they both use 1600x900 windows, but cptnxn uses 400dpi while doomsday uses 1500dpi.

That's quite an extreme sensitivity range. I think cptn's is slow but doomsday's very fast.

That's 2.25 inches for vertical window space (cptnxn) and 0.6 inches (doomsday).

Equivalent to 480dpi and 1800dpi on 1080p (or 340-1280dpi on 768p)

Angelsim is probably the best mouse player atm. He's using 2000 dpi, not sure about resolution but looks quite low here.

I've only briefly heard that name before. What are all of his other settings though? It might not be 1:1.

My aim and reflexes are improving. Sadly I can not say the same about my tapping. 160bpm max and dropping.

also recording replay is cancer for aim intensive stuff. It's smoothed out/laggy

but it's not nearly as smooth/sharp or consistently timed correctly as it would be if you played it at ~10-30% slower bpm

Why would i do that?

Just saying two things:

1; you can aim cleaner if you play a bit easier stuff and it's better for practice IMO

2; replay recording is worse than live-play recording for showing cursor movement

With mouse i think if you can't draw straight lines and you hit a bunch of stuff too late (easy to see with relaxmod, look at timer bar - it's obvious when you didn't already have cursor on the circle when the click timing starts) then it's not great for learning to FC hard aim maps

Cyro's point is that playing stuff at the edge of your ability does not refine your ability to snap to a note accurately the way playing easier stuff would. He doesn't mean perfectly straight lines, what Cyro is referring so is that if you watch your cursor movement, you move in somewhat more circular motion, as opposed to snapping note to note in as close to a straight line as you can manage. If you look at the timing bar, you can see that you reach notes late quite often, which means you didn't get to the note before you need to hit it. If you were tapping on time, you would have probably missed many of those notes just by being late on the mouse. Ideally, your aim should be early, so that your cursor is already in place when you tap.

Also, what he's saying is that easier maps will help you refine your actual aim better than pushing your limits with hard stuff like that (which is actually true). Hard stuff improves your reaction time and your raw speed, but it doesn't help refine your aim. By that I mean it won't help you place your mouse as close to the center of a circle as possible (and each that location before you need to tap) the same way easier maps will.

That said, you will still get better at everything when you push your limits that way, but it still favors certain skills over others, which is not ideal for learning to FC maps which require those skills.

With angelsim taking #1 in korea as a mouse player, i really wish tablet vs mouse debates would stop. and he is, in my opinion, the best mouse player to ever play this game. yes dooms and cptnxn are godly, but angelsim has proven to be just as good, if not better.
