I've basically just been playing mania for now. Apparently people complained about the timing being too strict in mania. I keep complaining its not strict enough... I've decided to mostly play songs with HR on because I feel terrible getting 95-99% acc on all the easy autoconverted maps. I feel like I should challenge myself and bring my acc back to reasonable levels... Although that doesn't seem to be working as I have at least 1 95% HR score already (and I've only played a few since I decided to focus on HR). I also have a score that is about 1% worse on HR than nomod. | ||

Not sure what the converter did to the scratches, but either way, I more or less played that exact chart, and passed. Albeit with a miserably bad accuracy and i think more misses than notes hit. I fee like for the most part, it's easier to mash and to simply hit a note in mania, and lifedrain is usually lower than it should be, but that to actually get rainbow 300's it takes pretty good timing. Nothing absurd, but a decently small window. | ||

Anyone know of some songs/packs that I'm not going to outgrow and are pretty minimalistic in terms of... well... pretty much anything that isn't the actual stuff I need to click on? As unbelievably emo as this sounds, manga and such is... unbearably cute. Also, difficulty is not an issue. I play Starcraft, so an impossibly high and long learning curve isn't really that daunting. | ||

Yeah just download beatmaps of songs you like I guess and play on difficulties you can't do and constantly challenge yourself. | ||

kriers even tried swapping to mouse+kb not long ago and ended up returning to mouse-only. in the end, no style is better. you'll be good with whatever you practiced the most. I've been playing both tablet and mouse for a long while and never was better at jumps with either one. All I've learned is that lower DPI / bigger area = better aim. that's it. and QCK+ is the greatest thing ever. anyway guys you HAVE to check this new map it's totally awesome (map url in desc) Can't play this at all because I'm fucking terrible (275bpm... too fast. can't keep tempo ;_; ) but the better players here should definitely give it a spin. Gonna try to HTHRHD this in the meanwhile for an S... \; Also hahaha Relax is fun :D people totally overlook this mod | ||
