I really hope you are trolling No, he's just an idiot Idiotic troll? Or trolling idiot? Either way I facepalmed. How am I trolling??That guy is saying anyone can be good at a game that has auto-aim,uh no shit, but COD:MW2 doesn't have auto-aim on multiplayer. And I was restating that I didn't playing single-player.I was playing multiplayer and doing well for a guy who has never played a 360 before.
There is a different aim assist that applies to the online multiplayer as well -- this is because it is impossible to be precise with an analog.
They thought you were trolling because they didn't think you could be that oblivious.

the auto-aim in this game does seem a bit more disruptive/noticeable than in cod4, has anyone else noticed?

Disruptive yes. I've actually missed shots because of the game pushing my reticule away from the player. If that makes any sense whatsoever....
Anyways, seeing your aim start moving before you even see the opposing player is like the game giving you free map hack. Unfair, and awesome when it works in your favor.

wait, there's auto aim for consoles? o_O

yeah its really annoying. often ill go to correct my aim and the game tries to do it for me and i over-correct and miss.

wow major suck.
in other news, iwnet's matchmaking is terrible. 4 games in a row (with 2 being vs full clan lobbies mind you) I was the only one with a positive KD, and lost with between 20-50 to 200. fml.

lol yeah. Honestly, it's damn near impossible to play without it. Thumbs are just too imprecise compared to a full hand on a mouse.
Sniping in a Halo game is easy, until you try to snipe a teammate (if it's a teammate obviously the game won't aim assist onto him).

The auto aim in H3 is very slight, nothing compared to this...
Yeah the matchmaking is bad sometimes, but I guess its hard to make fair teams when the ranking system isn't based on skill, and any noob can have a good game if they pick up an AC130 crate (or someone else's 1887s )
Anyway, enough complaining, back to the game... I've abandoned Bling/HBS in favour of Scavenger and Claymores. More often than not the claymore/s get me the kill, but even if it doesn't the 'click... boom' lets me know someone's on their way. People have said claymores have been nerfed since the last game, but I still find them really effective, especially if you place them far enough away from the door so that they cant be ran past.
In terms of kill streaks, I'm unsure whether to use attack heli or harrier. I've maxed out the harrier challenge, so I'm only really using it on domination, where I can be sure the air strike part will hit people. I'm using harrier/heli + Chopper gunner + Nuke. Only had two nukes so far, largely because I die whilst using the CG and don't have a reliable team mate to protect me.

i would use harriers for several reasons, the main reason in my eyes is: the air strike on the harrier should atleast net you 1-2 kills if they have someone persistant in shooting down aircraft. also, you can use chopper gunner while the harrier is still in the air.

harrier is better in every way
harder to shoot down, you get a precision airstrike before it, and it fires faster
if you're going for nukes use harrier for sure
also find better spots to hide using CG, there are really good spots on every map that you can lie their prone and no one will ever find you

My review of the game after completing singleplayer and playing to level 31 in MP:
Singleplayer experience was fucking amazing - the variey in maps/gameplay combined with Hans Zimmer sick tracks makes it the best FPS SP experience ive ever had.
Multiplayer: I'm a pretty casual player in the sense that i dont play in a clan.. but i did however play competetivly in CS 1.6 so i still like the team deathmatch games. The actual gameplay is very good as well as the ranks/classes you can create to your own liking.
Pros (game in general): Solid and smooth gameplay, good feeling. Nice music Epic SP experience Ranks and class-system
Cons: Maps, very few maps are actually fun to play in a pub game after a few ranks. The devs went fucking crazy with the clutter and campspots. Would like to see less of this in the future. Unbalanced maps makes certain gametypes such a domination extremely hard to get back in after enemies has set up camps at certain locations.
Low skill-cealing in pub games. This game requires very little skill to be good at, you can kill enemies so fast with just a few shots, you can camp so easily, get an early deathstreak and the game is pretty much yours.
Overall: Its my favorite "casual" fps-game on pc so far. Very fun to play. It wont have that lasting appeal as cs 1.6 did beacuse you simply need very little skill to be good at this game and the maps are extremely boring and cluttered.

You're right, it's pretty insane how convoluted some of these maps are. Afghan in particular, I seem to discover a new spot every game I play it. But I disagree with the balance claim. I think the one thing this game does well is balance.
A specific example, I think domination on Rundown is amazingly well balanced. Having played it at least a dozen times, from both spawn points, I can say that protecting the B flag is just as easy from either side of the map.
I mean there's windows, short walls, hills, bushes, spots from either side on the other bridges. Spots from below in the river. And it's all equal from side to side, with neither team being able to take an advantage until a coordinated push is made.
It really is marvelous, and for all the flaws the game has, I think the balance of the maps are spectacular.

I find that by this point in the game most people have run for cover before the bombs hit (I'm lvl 60something, so I'm matched with people who know how to play average/decently). Obviously it depends on map/gametype/situation. The problem with the harrier is it stays in one spot, whereas the heli moves around.
With the CG, its often difficult to get to a safe spot without risking being killed. I'd love to know a safe spot on the southern side of Skidrow. Spawns are sometimes safe, but when the CG is ripping the enemy up, my team tends to push in on their spawn, and the enemy begin re spawning where I am.
The point about calling in harriers and chopper gunners at the same time is pretty good.

Skidrow is a pretty bad map to use CG tbh. with all the cover surrounding B, C'd adjacent building being about 80% protected and A's main building pretty covered at the bottom you're likely to get kills only if the other team sucks to the point they're pushed back @ A or C and can't attack B even if their life depended on it. That or you're 3-0 camping them and they spawn in wide open areas.
also, fact is there are so many hallways and no real secure camping spot it's pretty hard to have permanent cover for an extended duration unless you got 1-2 allies defending you, which unless you premade is very unlikely to happen.
all in all, Pavelow or AC130 would be a better choice on Skidrow.
