I don't know if there is any place more appropriate to post this but I need some advices on my hauler fit. They will be used mostly to transport my products in Hi-Sec (maybe some small passage in low-sec to get a few things but nothing major).
First there is my current : + Show Spoiler +[Hoarder, All-around hauler] Expanded Cargohold II Beta Hull Mod Nanofiber Structure Warp Core Stabilizer I
Medium Supplemental Barrier Emitter I Invulnerability Field I Invulnerability Field I

Medium Cargohold Optimization I Medium Low Friction Nozzle Joints I Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing I
And then my future + Show Spoiler +[Mammoth, Hauler] Expanded Cargohold II Beta Hull Mod Nanofiber Structure Beta Hull Mod Nanofiber Structure 'Halcyon' Core Equalizer I
Medium Clarity Ward Booster I Medium Azeotropic Ward Salubrity I Medium Azeotropic Ward Salubrity I Viscoelastic EM Ward Salubrity I Additional Thermal Barrier Emitter I

Don't need the warp core stab for highsec. Warp core stabs on mammoths at any point is useless, any battlecruiser would get at least 3 volley's off before it warped, thereby killing it.
It's best not to go into lowsec with t1 haulers unless scouted, or not at all.
Prowler's are great. Edit: Well, 14 day train for Faction Industrial 5

Satene moved all that stuff for you?:p

If you are putting atleast 100mil worth of cargo in a t1 hauler, someone will suicide gank you. There is no way you will be able to avoid this as you will be eating roughly 15k raw alpha (this is lowered by your resists but still enough to kill you) from a character with bad skills, even more if that character has good skills or spends more isk to get t2 guns.
If you plan on moving anything remotely expensive, use a cloaky ship or courier contracts. I've taken out t1 haulers carrying around 2billion worth of goods before who thought they would be fine fitting for full tank before. They werent and I ended up walking away with things such as a plex, numurous t2 bpcs, and large numbers of faction modules on several different occasions.

Equally I carried 5b worth of stuff in a itty mark 2 between 2 major hubs.
I had it double packaged though, so there is no way anyone would have been able to tell I was indeed carrying 5b.

I've nerver even gotten scanned while flying around in my itty with wh-loot (itty since I brought other stuff back from Jita). Probably luck though

Probably luck though You don't have to see the yellow box to be scanned, there are mods that don't yellow box you, but still target.

What's your major route you take?

Make sure to double package anything of relatively high value in highsec as well, or this will happen. http://spawningpool.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11869144
Confirming this will happen. Managed to do my part for SP efficiency.

When you activate the ship scanner, it reveals your targeting to the guy being scanned.

Mandini killing Esports!!!!
On another note, a childhood friend of mine just started to play Eve online so I've been trying to teach him the ropes.
I've also just made my first billion from missioning and have been trying to get into trading (not gotten anything done there yet)

Alright welp I'm starting to get back into EvE now after years of scrapping my old account. To think I would last at least 2 months before I get hooked, Pft, delusional indeed.
Anyways right now I'm trying station trading while doing the tutorial missions (will be scavenging afterwards) and I gotta say - its irritating as hell. Unless you're dealing directly in jita there really isn't that much traffic headed your way, and if you do go there to station trade, you then got to realize your in EvE's representation of Hollywood at that point (Where there are "actors" everywhere in the city).
Don't suppose anyone has any tips for getting a PLEX from a trial account eh? Or is it just not doable?

It's very doable if you follow the advice given to Spawning Pool members about salvaging/probing etc. What isn't really profitable is attempting station trading and tutorial missions for isk when you have no isk to work with. You're trying to work up 10,000 into 450,000,000 by small % gains. It'll take quite a few.

This exactly. If you are a brand new character, getting salvage is literally the best possible money you can make. If you do your research and figure out what's going on, you can become a semi-competent prober fairly soon and do simple hi-sec exploration that can pay out very well - but that's only for the determined and intelligent.
Trading and all forms of contracting (besides sniping) work on margins and/or percentages. Margins and percentages only make money for people with lots of money. Let's say you do your station trading as normal with items that give 10% return overall (small but round number). PLEX right now costs roughly 400m(illion) ISK. If you want to make 100m ISK with 10% returns, you have to "spend" 1b(illion) ISK to make it. That means to make enough for a PLEX every month by station trading at 10%, you need to invest 4b ISK. You can obviously make better percentage returns, but you get the idea.
That amount of money is generally not available to new characters. But salvaging you can make very consistent ISK. You only need a few skills and a buddy to mission for you. On the extreme end, some missions are worth 50m or more in salvage. I don't salvage myself so I don't know the average rate, but I know that people make PLEX on salvage so it must be pretty decent.
Station trading is a good learning exercise, but in terms of making ISK/hour it's not a good idea until you are quite "rich".

Was a bit nervous at times but I did survive. Not that many trips though.

Only part of that trip you have to worry about it Uedama. Last time I went through there, I got scanned by Vov. I was 90% sure he was going to gank me.
