Don't bother with using multiple clones unless you want to go to nullsec, in which case you should get a single jump clone with no implants for that. Other than that you shouldn't lose your pod in lowsec so you should be safe with just 60m worth of implants. Alternatively, if you're awesome and fly multiple different ships (like I do), you can get a few clones and have appropriate implants in each of them (missiles, gunnery, etc)

We have been war decced by a mercenary corp and I can't help thinking Karah is to blame. Recently Karah has taken it upon himself to limit the LP supply in a few markets which are critical to his economic interests. As such a certain mission system has been getting the fuck griefed out of it with suicide ganks, about 8 different war decs on alt corps and the bullying of a certain shades of grey corp. Shades of grey have been fighting a pretender corp and not doing so well.
http://shades.killmail.org/
Unfortunately all men must reap what they sow and this war dec is probably paid for by them. Now, we're -10 lowsec pirates which means we can only go in space with a limited police presence and the police are there to protect people from us, they will not defend us. A war declaration is a way of bypassing the normal police protection and allowing people to attack other people who would normally be safe. As pirates we are normally never safe, it is our victims who are protected. By war deccing us these people are forfeiting their police protection while we don't have any to forfeit, they are enabling themselves to attack us where we never go while exposing themselves to attack where they live, they are giving themselves free reign to attack us where we live, outside police protection anyway. They could have just come here and killed us, instead they decided to formalise it as a war. In short they're absolutely retarded and just massively shot themselves in the foot. On a possibly related note, they're French.
Our first skirmish was today and they brought an assortment of shield and armour tanked bs and bc. We isolated them with ease and it was only the fact that half of them weren't able to get into an effective combat range of us that allowed them to save most their fleet when they gave the inevitable gtfo order. They left behind two expensive battleships to our outnumbered and outgunned fleet.

Okay, Sorry about the dumb stabber kill that happened.
Here is the decision process the went into it.
The way I was flying through space is I click "warp to gate" then "autopilot" then alt-tab/look at other windows/read forums/chat/etc instead of my ship. When I hear the "autopilot jumping" sound I alt-tab back, cancel autopilot, click warp to gate, turn on autopilot and repeat the cycle. In theory you should never have to slowboat 12 km to gate which makes it the same as manual piloting. It is also a nano-ed stabber so is fast way to travel and is relatively cheap so it is picked as I didn't want to spend minutes fitting out a vigil just to travel 6 jumps.
Now being shot at was unexpected so I wasn't sure whether I missed canceling the autopilot after a jump, or that I was tackled actually on align, which now I think about it, might have been what happened since missing a cancel is rare.
The overview tab was set to gates and stations as I was in highsec and had just joined minutes ago from a npc corp that obviously have no active wardecs and showing ships would just slow me down. I was busy thinking, reading the bulletin setting teamspeak up and it haven't came across my mind to switch overview to show hostiles, so I most likely have been tackled on out align.
----------- Now if this kind of behavior is unacceptable for people that want to join, let me know and I'll find somewhere else to go.

If you are in space, you should be paying attention; if you want to do something else, or something comes up, dock up first. Traveling doesn't take that long unless you plan on going from one side of Faction space to the other, I did 50ish jumps the other day, I was in game and attentive at all times. Granted most of it was through Null sec, and I did find a warp disruption bubble, and several people.
We are at war with people who live in high sec, they can attack you anywhere in space if you are in the corp. This is the bottom line. Don't pull the "if this is unacceptable let me know and I'll leave forever" crap, you will learn, you will be taught by us, it will either be easy, or it will be hard; that is dependent on you. Don't expect to be slaying interstellar sparkle dragons at the start of your career.

How far into our careers can we expect to do this then?

But you'll still be making retarded choices because you're retarded. When you fuck up you will get bollocked. However it is unacceptable, if you're retarded you'll get dicked for it.
On an unrelated note we just failed hard against shades. We had a total of 7 battlecruisers drop out of warp next to the primary target and not one of them pointed it. I had vov with "I landed close to something so I burned away", Valenius "I pointed the cane to spread points and called it on comms" (this is good), two more "I pointed the cane because I assumed someone else had the primary", Karah with "pointed the sleipnir cause I assumed someone else had primary and it was high value", Body with "I was flailing wildly" and Abom not replying.
It's not good enough. After this long we should know how to point primaries. We did kill a drake, a cane and a sleipnir for no losses but even so.

Care to share all of the interactions with the merc corp, at least in 54? I feel like I'm missing out on all the fun. do we at least know who paid them to dec us?
|
That is all the interactions we've had. They killed new guy in high-sec (above), they came to odde s1 with a wierd group of ships, killed a rifter in exchange for their raven / phoon. Oh, they also have carriers.
and they speak french. Hope you're having fun on vacation.

Sydney is nice. My hotel is right next to ANZAC bridge hahahaha.
Have they not said anything in local? Surely caelum can translate.

They're secretive frogs. Nah, it's been fairly quiet really. Oh, Ueber killed their Cyno kestrel before anything else happened.. but not that noteworthy.

I applied on an alt and immediately told them I was a spy when convoed. Apparently they were very unprepared today because they did zero prep on us because they accepted the contract while the client was still angry rather than wait for him to find a better use for his money. They say they'll be back.

I had girffriend aggro at the end of the run (so i took my head set off and docked once you had admitted the run was over) and you know I don't typically sit there at let you felate your internet spaceship fleet commander ego at my expense when youre terminally upset over a game.
However my reason for not pointing was pretty fail, speakers cut out so i defaulted to warp to 100 from kwark based on what I heard, was burning to point tempest the moment I landed and heard tempest was primary.

yeah and today I totally was like superman or batman. Finally did not screw up, did what I was told to and yet noones every going to know, 'cause I'm not on a single km. Sucks to be a hero-rifter :p
