Thank god, now I don't have to see his terrible portrait on KMs anymore.

It's basically just the isk we'd divide among our members at the end of the month. It's not going to do anything to our day to day activities because we're self sufficient in that regard and have 0 costs, it was just our loot profit wallet. I just put 4b in the wallet out of my own spare cash to cover it, life continues as usual.

he's been sucking up to random members in here for quite a while, but i negative vouched him yday lol. spider senses tingling, he seemed like a pretentious douchebag.

I'm noting that his first post on TL was in regards to EVE. I recommend that, in the future, people who make their first post here in this thread and then go on to never really participate elsewhere on TL not be given access to substantial amount of isk, no matter what they do in-game. It's an unnecessary risk.

He emptied the graveyard, all our podkills for nothing T_T

We usually dont have much on corp anyway. Just a bit of cane/drake fittings and the pvp stuff we loot from deaded people. We just got lucky the last few days with really expensive kills so he decided to take his chance now and run.

My first post on TL was regarding EVE, oh fuck

Finally a use for having 100b ish net worth. Making corp thefts look insignificant.

It's an unnecessary risk. Our policy for months has been current directors and tl staff unless a clear need for more admins arises. Unfortunately he was a current director. It was poor judgement on my part to leave him as a director when his personality was clearly unstable which is why I'm repaying the cash.

The problem is not such much that he first posted here, hes still been in hatch for pretty long, and if he really just wanted to rob us he could have went away with a LOT more (if done at a different time).
Its just the typical 15 year old who thinks hes gonna be a badass by stealing and decides to do it because hes ran out of isk.
I think I speak for the majority of the corp when I say that everyone has treated Gem with much respect when compared to how whiney this kid was, he was always crying out for isk and talking about his 15 year old problems, Im pretty happy that hes gone since I wont have to cope with that, had he just asked me for a couple bil so I wouldnt have to hear about him anymore I would have gladly accepted.

Karah also managed to move the billion+ we got from the tengu, so Gem didnt even mange to steal all of the loot hangar.
Edit: Also, Gem probably stole from us so he could tell the french girl what a badass he is.

Lol and gem was trying to convince me to give FIl0 to him HAH. Wasn't even considering it but I would be pretty pissed if I had.

I think we have different ideas about what causes corp thefts. In my experience, corp thefts don't usually happen because someone planned to infiltrate a corp, get access to the isk, take it, and run. More often, corp thefts are unplanned; the most famous corp theft in EVE history (Harrgoth Agamar) was unplanned, as was my raven theft, as was this new theft. All these things happened because the thieves became bored with corp and no longer had any attachment to it. Thus, the isk that they previously declined to steal suddenly became free isk with no strings attached.
Someone whose presence on TL is primarily due to EVE will not necessarily take the isk and run as soon as it is available. However, when that person becomes bored with the Hatchery, there is nothing keeping him from taking the isk. But for a player who participates in other aspects of TL, stealing from Hatch comes with major strings attached.
It's probably irrelevant either way. It seems like Kwark has only trustworthy directors now.
