Unless specifically ordered too, always fit a goddamn warp SCRAMBLER. Warp DISRUPTOR is for killing things in missions, and special other circumstances where the fc will tell you "Rifters, I want a long point on you" (LONG POINT = DISRUPTOR) This way, we dont land on two bcs, and have them just burn away and warp off. Thanks, Michael

We formed up one system out of a system they had a scout in, so it was: System with us in it -- System with their scout -- system with them Our scout found himself caught in their camp or something so we jumped into the system with the scout which caused them to soil their trousers and safe up and log off for a few hours. Sad times by all. At this point some intelligent soul noticed that in the course of getting ready to break this up we managed to get a fleet of 5 Canes, 5 Drakes, 1 Falcon, 1 Rifter, 1 Link/scout Loki, and 1 Cyclone. God bless him. We proceeded to make our way a few jumps into the local nullsec and poking the locals in a large and explosive stick. It took quite a bit of poking but we finally got a Hyperion to agress us, and we quickly warped the 12,000 kilometers from the in-gate to the station and smashed him. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9665181 After this the locals responded much more passively to our stick, except one poor poor drake who happened to jump into us while we where on a gate. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=9665196 The "fight" lasted 5 seconds. Poor guy. After this we waited a few and when nothing else got our interests we made out way safely back to our lowsec homes.

Well, atleast i didn't die this time. How does a Jag even hit a slicer? barrage is only 2.3 + 9. For a total of 20.3km. Orbit at 18 and hold him forever. . .

It has only 6 low slots for a ship with an active armor tank bonus (which is mostly useless in PvP), no range, tracking or falloff bonus to its turrets, making it very hard to actually apply your DPS. It also brings the cost of a tier 3 BS with it, whereas it can't really do anything the Domi cannot do better. The only thing the Hyperion has going for it is its awesome ship model, which is sadly ruined by the turret placement on it. Domi can field a better tank as it can commit all 7 low slots to the tank without hurting your DPS too much (both active or buffer). It is a lot cheaper and drones apply DPS a lot better and a lot further than blasters. On May 13 2011 21:00 Firebolt145 wrote: How does 2.3 + 9 = 20.3 :o You should know that by know as an EVE player. Optimal is 100% hit chance, Optimal+Falloff is 50% hit chance, Optimal+(Falloff*2) = 0% hit tchance. Optimal is 2.3km, anything within that range can be hit 100% as far as range is concerned. Falloff is 9km, so at 11.3km you got a 50% chance to hit the target. Double falloff is 18km, so at 20.3km and beyond it drops to 0%, but anywhere between 11.3km and < 20.3km you still have a chance to do damage.

The Megathron is usually reserved for sniping, or atleast it used to be, the Rokh is the best fleet sniper overall. A Domi can provide neuting, has midslots for potential E-war such as TDs and it can field a mean buffer tank. It also has the bonus of being pretty cheap, as it is a tier 1 BS. Since you noted you don't want to spend a lot of time training hybrids, the Domi seems like the logical choice. Do note that blasters do help on a Domi if you can fit them, but they aren't your primary source of DPS, that comes from heavy drones (which will hit a target a lot easier than a blaster).

And by hit chance, Thezzy actually means potential damage. At optimal+falloff you only do 50% damage of potential max damage. Whether you actually hit your target or not is based on tracking, not distance to target. Just to clarify =). Edit: Fixed grammar.
