Most of them are blah, but a couple are pretty fun to read, and interesting to hear from their perspective as well: http://i-pirate.blogspot.com/ <-- hilarious, FC/CEO from Bastards (based in Evati, I see 'em around sometimes on my low-sec trips) http://novakaneinc.blogspot.com/ <--- interesting guy from NovaKane (I think a 3-man corp in Gusandall? but he seems to be able to call for several BS worth of backup at any time), he mentions us a few times ... I never realized how good their intel and escalation abilities were, but they've got a carrier on standby and it seems they always know what's going on 1-2 systems out from Gus anyone find a mean corp blog? :D
Bastards blog is hilarious.
Kane does live in eifer and Gus.. Im surprised you have never heard of him. He usually does most things solo but if things turn bad, he shares intel with mean corp and they are good friends, example of this is when Kane lost his 1.5+ bil machariel yesterday, mean corp just flooded gus with a good amount of T3 and 2 carriers, so yes, they have the ressources.
On the topic of yesterday : Was a pretty painful day of losses for me, started with a ruppy loss to a 10 man SCUM sebodrake gang while i was roaming solo. Loss a 2nd rupture because i got stucked in the station model while trying to get some range and a cane undocked on me... Fights were pretty fun so i figured i might as well buy a third rupture (to my suprise i manage to fit it in nullsec at jita/rens price, fucking awesome) 3rd ruppy was lost killing the wolf, we poped him but just as it when poofed they warped canes on us and i didnt burn out in time, Bb missed the jam and it was it for my third rupture
since we had problem keeping tackle (got the wolf 8 times in structures, he repaired and came back, before we finally killed him) i figured i might as well fly a rifter, got popped in that fight with the cane and falcon tho, i had burned for the falcon so he jams me in priority, and for some reason the cane was still landind 300+ hits on me at 50km+ off which i didnt expect, and there was really nothing close to an alignement towards where i was burning and my rifter took an hour to warp and it died ( was extremelly close, i was just about yo warp out and then a final blow hit me..) All in all a very fun night tho, we still managed to kill 2x t2 frigs and get on the mail of a third one so i dont really mind the losses

Did some practice gate-crashes and d-scan/scouting procedures in a dead-end high-sec system, made sure our pvp overview settings were set, and away we went. Was pretty uneventful -- dramiel warped off before I could lock it, Deckard died to something (we still have no idea what), and I died trying to take on a vagabond lol. Eh, it was a 5mil in total caracal, so I had no problems suiciding it, frigs got out okay, and we all got some good experience out of it.
Then serg, cael and me went into Angel NPC null-sec (Hemin) after finding completely nothing in low-sec, and had some pretty fun extended battles. Zealot, Rupture and Blackbird (and later vov's cane) vs. Cane, Cane, Myrmidon, Ishkur, Wolf, Taranis, and Griffin. Lots of fun extended battles, we managed to take the Wolf and Taranis off them, while only losing Cael's rupture #2 and #3 ... we almost got the Ishkur too, but he warped off into a 2x cynabal 2x dramiel bubble lol.
After that a bunch of decent sized BS/BC fleets (Aquila, Blackwater, Agony, etc.) passed through and we all safed/docked up while we waited for vov to join us in his cane and Cael looked for a tackle frig to lose reship into. We poked several jumps deeper, but things were way too quiet, so we decided to head back to Hemin. We fought a little skirmish with a Falcon and Cane on a gate, and I lost my BB cuz I'm a total idiot (I blame my drowsiness, it was like 2am EST). I was so focused on jamming the Falcon that I didn't even notice the Cane was 5km off from me -- so of course I overheat all my jammers on the Falcon , not even leaving my minnie jammer for the Cane lol. What utter fail, lol.
Anyway, you guys should really come do some raoming in Hemin, things are shockingly priced equivalently to Rens/Jita, and some even cheaper. When I relog back in tonight (hopefully around 7pm EST?), I'm gonna reship a blackbird in station for probably 75% of what it would be in Rens, I'm dead serious. You can fully fit any ship up to a battlecruiser, t2 fits, rigs and faction ammo, the works. I'm really looking forward to all the gfs to be had here! (Bittervet) Makes me miss the good old days of roaming from E02, brawl some Darkside in G-0, meet & greet the locals around HLW and then do the epic roams through provi and rape face there within 15 minutes till OSHT THERES THE BLOB. Doril used to be Razors HQ for their battleship roadtrip & it looked like PF- / MHC / EC- when they were hot 23/7 at that time. <3 (/Bittervet) How's providence nowadays? What happened after LOLTLAS failed their big renting project down there? Oh, and how is darkside doing? They still living in the best NPC nullsec pocket of all eve? <3 Edit: Just looked at the sovmap, who the hell is White Noise? And why does Init. have all the former AAA sov? Does anyone besides me have connection in the former southcommand channel? Would be interesting to get some insider stories. =P
Providence is kind of a mess. Tri mark 2394875 which is called Northern CoalitionDOT moved there and, being the big fish in a little pond, now charges anyone wishing to live there.
Darkside is still playing the game their own unique way, but have moved up to Pure Blind. Even though I live nearby, I never see them due to TZs.
WN. is one of the Russian entities who hired us to help them evict Atlas/AAA from the South East. They're very Supercap heavy and have nync (which is usually an indicator of who the best Russian alliance is at the moment).
And, to be through, here's some Atlas leadership channel porn following Baaaaaaaawwwwby afk'ing and Atlas leadership accepting a hilariously humiliating set of terms from the Ruskies which include them handing over the majority of their Supercaps in production and disbanding the alliance in return for getting to keep a few of their baby supers.

Hatchery should consider using some pirate loot to hire an army so we can go conquer The Spire.

Guys you should really go read The Bastard's blog, it's pretty awesome. We really should go on some thematic roams, they could be seriously epic.
Edit: btw TheHermit (a Bastard: http://accidentallyeverything.wordpress.com/) fits smartbombs on his BB =P Oh, he also carries spare jammers on long roams too XD

By far the best thematic roam I've ever heard of is the "armageddon, named after a porn remake of a popular film".
The empire strikes ass is a pretty good ship name :>

every rrbs fleet is a thematic geddon roam

Dominix RR fleet with Kwark at the helm in a tengu

dictors + hg pirate set fleet imo

Wow, that's almost as good as Dex's pictures on how to fly a scimitar. Almost.

Oddly enough that white triangle thing took several minutes. Then when we knew where the guy was and told him which gate to go to he went to a different gate and jumped. Even so, we killed a vexor, falcon and rifter with no losses. So as much as it was an annoying op it was probably a success. We did a training op from first principles today. We covered letters, reading, writing, responding to our names, shapes, colours, all sorts. It's actually rather difficult to describe a white triangle.

It just took me awhile to figure out what TYPE of triangle it was..
I'm a noob don't judge me.. D:

I guess they thought you were a noob at EVE, not a noob a triangles?

Another frig/cruiser low-sec roam, this time Nou graciously tagged along in his rupture to provide some much needed dps while the rest of us were in a tackle caracal, 2 tackle rifters and a griffin (2 cruisers + 3 frigates). Ran thru a cane/myrm (2 battlecruisers) gatecamp and ended up engaging the cane at a random belt (not the best of ideas but we were looking to pick a fight). Michael's comp crashed and he quickly lost his rifter, I lost 50% shields chasing the cane down from 20km out for the tackle but quickly called for a disengage when the myrm popped into the belt (also, Nou had warped in at 30km and ended up 60km away from the cane). With web/scram/mwd on my side, I did a crazy ivan and managed to burn out of the cane's longpoint with 90% structure left \o/ (that cane was tearing me apart!) Unfortunately Elite in his griffin was scrambled by a random belt rat (of all things) and wasn't able to get out =T No worries, he shipped back up in a Griffin, and onwards we went, terrorizing the locals, lootin' and pollutin' as we cowed a cyclone and vagabond into hiding away from us. (seriously, no idea why the vagabond refused to engage with us -- he was ratting and then safed up and proceeded to posture up in local chat) Got through Eifer/Gus/Sotrenz in one piece. Mission success! \o/

\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/ that was an awesome op :D it was the usual Hatchery shenanigans and tomfoolery -- lots of issues with white triangles though, I gotta say (overview settings, grouping modules, dragging in-system link). One rifter pilot was so new he couldn't even fit an MWD or scram \o/
That falcon kill was so lucky though ... he warped in at 70km range from Kwark solo raping the vexor, which happened to be exactly where I was sitting in my BB, literally 1km away from me. Praying to the bump and jammer gods, I somehow managed to keep him bumped off his align and jammed him twice in a row, giving Aixa the 30 seconds he needed to burn the 70km and get the much needed tackle \o/ and then the fleet VIOLENCED TEH ECM BOTE FOR JUSTIC \o/
(I've been reading too many eve blogs, can you tell)
+ Show Spoiler [Explanation of Falcon] +For the non-Eve readers, any semi-competent Falcon pilot is extremely difficult to kill. They typically operate 100-120km away from battle, vs. the 5k-15k range of most ships, and the 50-70k range of drakes. Not only that but most ships can't even target further than 100km. And on top of that, Falcons typically have enough ECM to keep up to 6 battlecruisers permajmmed, no joke. AND Falcon's are stealth recon ships, meaning they can move and warp while cloaked, and only have a 6 sec target restriction after uncloaking (vs 20-30 for non-stealth recons). You can't get in reach of them, you can't even lock them, and even if you did you wouldn't be able to hold your lock, and that's assuming you even see them in the first place. It's for these reasons that having a Falcon on your side is awesome, but having to fight against one is ridiculously gay. For most low-sec pirates, this is what they think of Falcons (don't forget to read the comments) http://laedyinred.blogspot.com/2010/09/my-first-corp-drama.htmlAlso, the bottom post of this blog: http://ladyshaniqua.blogspot.com/

You can also laugh/pity the falcon operating at 100km far away because my cane could Jam better than a Falcon at that range.
70km is already kind of pushing it.

you know... the O followed by a V followed by an E followed by a R followed by a V followed by an I followed by an E followed by a W.... also has a triangle.

I don't understand ... I always fly my blackbird out 70-80km out, and its jammers are 75km optimal + 80km fall-off (Cruiser V, long distance jamming III, frequency modulation III). With maxxed skills, it would be 85km optimal + 90km fall-off, and then you add a Particle Dispersion Projector or two to increase your optimal to 100-120km. Even without it, your fall-off is so great that your jamming wouldn't be hurt too much to jam out at 100km, esp. if you've got the Augmentor rigs for +20% jam strength.
