Ok, we tried attacking a much bigger fleet with a gang of 1 bs, 4 bcs, 2 cruisers and a scimmy. Unfortunately one of our bcs, Nou, lagged out as he undocked and got killed + podded due to hardware failure which sucked ass. We went for the fight anyway but things went badly. The raven got taken down way faster than we thought it would and the scimmy couldn't keep it alive, despite impressive resists. 8 canes and 2 brutix at 0 was just too much for it. Then reiso got taken down seconds later in his drake somehow. This is just my fail tbh. After Nou died I was pissed so I went for the battle asaply without proper training. Reiso should have had 60k range and with nanos he shouldn't have been anywhere near their mass canes. But he was and I couldn't save him.
They warped/deaggressed our first 2 primaries on low hp and we couldn't keep points on them because they had so much midrange damage. A rifter got killed somehow from drones over a several minute period without docking up.
As I gave the gtfo order two more canes were pointed.
That just left the scimitar but fortunately they had absolutely no tackle. It just aligned to the sun and burned off at 2.4k. A raptor kept pace with it and kept point on it but the rest of them were nowhere near. The scimmy only had shield rep drones so we were in an interesting situation. I tried warping a bb to me and they tried warping canes to the raptor but the speed was so high that both got left behind. I then told the bb to warp to the sun (my align point) and then warp to me at 50. Unfortunately in a moment of madness I tried to get one more cycle on my overheat. It burned out and I slowed down. The canes that were routinely warping to the raptor and landing behind me but with my mwd burned out they landed as the bb did. A cane got a second point and I went down.
Utterly pointless loss. Really quite pissed off with myself about it.
Anyway, we reshipped in 5 minutes and WP was back in a link claymore in exactly 15. We immediately threw ourselves back into the fray, landing at long range from their 12 man gang with 5 of our own. They had a firetail, raptor and a loki in the way of fast tackle and a fuckload of canes + maels/pests behind. We nanoed perfectly, taking down the firetail and raptor without getting anywhere near their fleet. We scattered and nanoed around, picking off shit but we had trouble focussing shit down because we were so spread. So we did a perfect disengage with the help of a hero blackbird and got the hell out.
Two minutes later we were all at the FUP and had an alignment on a cane that had been left behind. We were warping around quickly and isolating targets, not giving them a moment to get their bearings. My assumption was that our training and communication was better, that we were regrouped and repaired faster than they were. We were able to drop our fleet on a cane and focus it down while their fleet was slower to respond. By the time they warped their mass battleships in it was dead and we were pulling drones and aligning. Seconds later we were back at the FUP and ready to go for a wolf at RFAP but they all redocked leaving us in control of space. Content with our 5 vs 15 harassment we decided to call it for the night.
The first defeat I've FCed. Sucked tbh. Especially when the worst losses were so avoidable. But we're still massively up on the day.

If the corp is going to have an industrial wing, I am willing to dive into r&d with my character =). I have high factional standing with minmie (8.03) and decent corp standing with one major minmie r&d corp (6.11). I would need a bit more standing to use high quality lvl4 r&d agents of this corp though. I need to train the r&d skills up too but since i'm on int/mem remap, this should be fast.

You probably got the rotatey ship bug. I can't remember how to replicate it but there's a bunch of angry threads on it. Basically your ship just flies in random directions while you try and do something and your ship is completely un-controllable.
Super lame and it's kinda like a free kill for anyone who is shooting at you... but it happens

So, our WTs have a neutral corp which is just a few of their guys' alts and shit which was neutral scouting and bming in local and all that jazz. Naturally we decced them too cause that shit isn't really on. Didn't really see much of them after we were able to fire back until today when one of them was camping RFAP in a cane. I was missioning happily enough, they had like nobody on and were no threat to anyone. However after my 3rd or 4th mission he's at 0 on the station and has the nerve to aggress my mission drake.
I redock and he goes "lol" in local.
20 seconds later I undock in the ham drake. Now my ham drake has been called a brick by detractors. However most of them have probably never been hit in the head by a brick or they'd know what was about to happen.
The cane aggressed me and a second later was in armour. His buddy in a hound decloaked 60k off and opened up on me with torps and tps and shit, their bait + 2v1 trap sprung on the unsuspecting drake... which promptly smashed the cane into the ground with 70% shield remaining. It's a fucking monster :D. Of course the hound immediately recloaked and ran. A 64m kill, a load of nice loot, a load of drones scooped and in the cargo I found a familiar face, the corpse of Nou from last night.
