Well I just made a stupid mistake and lost another rifter. There were only 2 WT's in local doing nothing for about 20 minutes, so I (stupidly?) assumed it was safe to undock at rfap and create a instaundock point.
Saw two of them there camping the station. I had known that changing direction/moving anywhere would cancel your invulnerability but I thought that MWD was fine, and was hoping to burn away safely. Obviously I was wrong.
I DID consider not touching anything and waiting for the redock timer to end before spamming the dock button, but I was worried that I would have drifted too far and killed anyway.
After talking with Orandos (the only other guy online for some reason) he told me that the ONLY thing that doesn't remove your invulnerability is stopping/changing speed. Now that I know that, next time this happens I would have stopped -> spammed redock button for when the invulnerability/redocking timer ends.
I guess the third thing I could have done, and possibly the simplest, was to straightaway warp somewhere and hope my rifter would beat their lock. In the spur of the moment I didn't even consider that. ._.
I'm posting this here so Kwark doesn't have to shout at me later. I've learned my lesson

It's a fairly big station. Just don't touch anything and wait for the timer. No worries. You're new, you know what you did wrong and you know what to do next time. Also trying to warp immediately is never the right thing to do because if you get locked you can't instantly redock. Try and warp at 5 seconds remaining or so.

Ran in to a gatecamp shortly after downtime this morning in a PvE drake and lost it to a cane and a hound. I had an alt I could have been scouting with in the area too so stupid fucking mistake on my part.
Sorry guys.
Working on getting some payback now with guys online.
Fuck me.

Hey guys, I would like to start playing EVE Online. On the first page there is an update telling that I should mail the team to request the 21 trial period. Who can send me the invitation for the trial?

Camped RFAP for about 30 minutes with 3 of them docked.
They didn't have 60 online to take ~6 of us out so they stayed docked.
Yawn.

Jeez why did I leave this so late. I have to do 3000 words by Monday as coursework and they have to be good and there is a fuckload of reading. If I actually get this done I'm gonna get horribly, horribly drunk and FC the fuck out of you guys.

Looking forward to it. You'll be all like, 'Hey FB, screw rifters, pilot this t2 cane for me. And everyone else, I apologise for everything mean I've ever done.'
The things people do when drunk hahaha

oh u
I'm in a similar situation to Kwark. Essay due in next week, so I won't be nearly as active for a bit. Not too long, don't worry. I'm not leaving you. Yes, I still love you. No, I'm not getting bored of you, why would you think that? No darling, I'm not getting sarcastic... Look, it's you who's getting needlessly paranoid here, just calm down. I'm still here.

Where will we get our pink fill now

1. Dont mind Karah's comment, hes the single person who murdered the corps efficiency the most (after Kwark, but well, thats a given)
2. Stop making ''excuses'' for losing your ship. We enjoy the fact that you let us know here, because that way we can know what happened, all we really ask though is that you understand WHY you lost it, so you dont do it again. So yes, explaining how you lost it and what you should have done/not done is nice, but no need to make excuses to the corp (except if youre nou).
3. Im also supposed to study a lot in the next couple of weeks, but im really not a good student so ill still probably end up spending a couple of hours every night on Eve. If me and Kwark are not online, you are allowed to follow orders from any older players EXCEPT Trontron and Nou.
4. drunken op sounds good to me.

Create a 14-day trial, hop in the SCBW channel and start talking, someone will take care of you.
WARNING : TO ALL PEOPLE THAT WANT TO TRY EVE We are currently at war, A BIG WAR, usually when we are at war we can still do other things and we are to teach you things. Its not the case this time, what that means is that every activity in Eve for the corp is currently limited to fleet ops (emol is permanently camped). If youre interested in learning the game slowly, making money, etc, we would highly suggest you either not join the corp now and learn on your own, or you wait 1 week. If you do decide to join at this moment, be prepared to lose ship and to fight. You wont be making any isk for a week, but we will provide you with everything you need to join on ops, the rest of the time though you will be required to stay in station, as you will just die again and again if you dont.
(Im not saying its a bad time to start eve, all im saying is that if you start now, its gonna be rough, you will have to learn fast(er), you will have to pay attention and you will see a lot of explosions.)

Now is a sick time to join eve. The guys who join right now are gonna be insanely good PvPers. Born in the fire, sword in hand and all that jazz.

It's not really a defensive act. a) People can point out anything I've missed to make sure I get it right. b) Other newbies can also learn from my mistake.

I disagree with you Caelum. The excuse by itself is meaningless, nobody wants to hear "sorry, I lost X". But it's a useful tool for sharing how it happened and how to prevent it happening, discussing ways to avoid it etc. What matters is that you guys help each other get better and that the person learns from their mistake.

I think your essay is messing with your reading comprehension, (or I am terrible in english, which again is possible).
I (think that I) clearly stated that it is GOOD that they post here HOW and WHY they lost their ships (so we know about the situation and they/others can learn about the mistake made), but that it was the ''im sorry guys'' that was unnecessary.
''So yes, explaining how you lost it and what you should have done/not done is nice, but no need to make excuses to the corp''

The warning was mostly for those joining during these times, and expecting to learn slowly about the game and makig isk, it wont happen, you will learn how to pvp and you will die.

It is highly necessary that they feel bad about their loss. That's what motivates them to get better. Why do you think I give you guys such a hard time? You think I enjoy being such a dick to you guys? If you all fucked up and I was like "dude, don't worry, it happens, here, take corp isk and buy some more shit" then you'd all be terrible. I have to work at being angry for you guys, I'm actually like the most chilled out guy ever. I have to practice ranting in front of a mirror so I can help you guys more.

we need more gank
edit: actually im not going to post that picture on a public forum

Dont tell me you dont enjoy it at least a little bit
On topic : I think that the fact that you lose your ship pisses you off by itself, and writing about how it happened to everyone makes you look like a fool, so you end up not doing it again. I dont see the point of adding to all that the ''im sorry corp''.
but hey, personnal opinions I guess
(inb4 ninja mod edit) edit : god that was a quick edit
