And correct me if I am wrong but I have never seen anybody do anything worth noting in an armor repped cynabal. implying that AC cynabals were actually good nano ships - they were heavily outclassed by the signature kiting ships in any of the 4 previous patches of the game (podla drake -> tier 3s -> caracal -> cara-cerb-ishtar) the only reason fitting webs to the mordus ships might be bad is because you have a fucking 22 km OH scram which is far more powerful in the defensive slot unless you really like ramming ab ships also I simply can't think of an actually decent kiting setup that involved dual prop (again, cynabals don't count, throughout all metas they were easy 250m kms). An FN web is probably a better choice over AB if you're that worried about getting scrammed, and has actual gang utility.
There was a period when Drakes dominated everything when I was still playing. During that period, Hurricanes were still pretty good ships, especially nano artycanes. The thing Cynabals had going for them was they were basically supercanes. They were faster, had better range, had similar or better damage (dependent on fit), had better fitting options etc.
They were fast enough and had good enough damage projection to deal with almost anything, and were imo overall better than Drakes until you went past ~40-45km where the HML damage is just so much more than the auto or arty damage. Part of the reason the Drakes were so dumb was they could fit webs to deal with frigates. Cynabals didn't have that option (or at least it wasn't as attractive). Cynabals could deal with frigates (which were much slower at the time, remember) using their ridiculous acceleration and speed to line up those nice 0-transversal wrecking shots that artycanes were so famous for. This is much harder and less forgiving than a Drake sleepily getting tackled by a frigate and webbing it for the kill. The one thing Cynabals could never do that Drakes could is challenge some of the recons.
Also everyone put fucking invulns on them.
Then there were Tier3 BCs. They ate MWD cruisers alive. Then there was the huge speed power creep. Then there was the tracking enhancer nerf. Now Cynabals are just really expensive garbage.
I'd also like to point out that you would never see an armor repped Cynabal because their capacitor is terrible. That's also one of the reasons you shouldn't use an invuln.

the last time I fought an AAR cynabal he was dual prop with web and tried to brawl my armor rupture at zero
that said I think the concept can work - cap booster - point dual FN web. The damage will be shit but you are a cynabal, what did you expect.

Nah Def, it's cool, there is no power creep.

It's purely nostalgia, clearly. Back in my day, Cynabals went 10000km/s in atmosphere triple plated.

So apparently power creep is not a thing. And ships are still easy to hit, and this doesn't matter because it is effecting all ships.
Let me show you my OP gallery. Enjoy.
100MN Phantasm: While the speed is trouser bulging, everything else is really meh.
+ Show Spoiler +
10MN Phantasm: Probably the version I will be flying. Looks pretty good to me.
+ Show Spoiler +
Nightmare: Seriously OP bullshit on this pimp boat. Super Oracle.
+ Show Spoiler +
Barghest: Not a big fan of this ship. With out any innate Application bonus, the thing can't hit any ships for shit.
+ Show Spoiler +
Orthrus: This ship is just stupid. With standard crash, it is doing 226DPS to an inty, with no web or painters- once the MWD is turned off. BTW, heated- it goes 6.8K/S. NO SWEAT YOU CAN STILL TRACK IT NP NP NNP

But don't worry guys- these ships do not show any type of power creep at all. Yep no worries. These ships are certainly not harder to apply damage too, or hit with guns / missiles. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Mach has been able to do that, along with Phoon for some time

Yeah, but the Mach was the speed demon BS. Never seen a phoon go that fast. But I was last really active sometime around 2009.

The nano thing was taking off big time around the time I stopped playing. I was of the armor hacs vs Drakefleet time.
