What about that time ~a certain someone~ almost took over Raiden? And that was with a character they themselves owned (more or less), but a third party confused them for a previous owner. Should that result in someone being banned? That kind of shit is what EVE thrives on. The disgusting design mistakes in ship balancing and combat mechanics are pathetic, but goddamnit if EVE isn't amazing anyway because of all the amazing shit you can get away with - all the hilarious and bitter stories you can get out of the experience. You know a rule they could make to get some worthwhile bans? How about banning enormous ISK "gifts"? That's how 100% of successful RMTers do it. Why not ban something that actually hurts the game rather than just encouraging carebearish behavior? This "we will protect you from people lying about their identity" thing is a slippery slope to banning people for general dishonesty. Shit, this obsession with impersonation is one step away from banning scamming. So much of what makes EVE unique is that you can do things which are clearly, by any reasonable standard, not allowed in other games. Why trample on things like that? That's what I'm saying - there must be a reason. There has to be some kind of catalyst that brought about this terrible attitude towards identity deception. First time undocking to pvp in weeks. Taking out a 10mn coercer. Initially I find a daredevil, and entice him to come after me, but after I start melting him, he quickly decides it's better for his health to leave me the fuck alone.  It would have been a nice kill Next I find a Caracal. He's sporting heavy missiles. He's also a good chunk slower than me. Rofl. I go in and I start taking his shields down much faster than my own (and I'm DCU tanked). Most of that damage from him is Warriors hitting me. Suddenly I'm jammed, and there are no other ships on grid. WTF midslot ECM? I can understand EC-300's, but midslot ECM? What the fuck? Also would have been a nice kill Finally I find an Ishkur and Firetail. The Ishkur is hilariously slow, and firetail decides to donate himself and tackle me so the ishkur can catch up, but with AB overheated, even while webbed, I'm still faster than ishkur. The pilot of the Firetail doesn't seem to realize this. He has a TD so I'm killing him significantly slower than I'd like to be, but he's going down way faster than I am. Suddenly my guns burn out when he's 1-2 shots from being a firey wreck. And this is all because I'm fucking bad at turning overheat off, and I still haven't trained thermo 5. Gee fucking Gee. Maybe I shouldn't undock for pvp for a while. | ||

k, I need all the advice I can get. I just called it perfect because I tracked down meta's to get it all just under CPU without breaking the bank. Gallente Catalyst High: 7x 150mm Carbide Railgun I + Thorium S, Salvager I Mid: Small Azeotropic Ward Salubrity I (shield extender), Experimental 1MN Afterburner I Low: Magnetic Field Stabilizer I, F85 Peripheral Damage System I (damage control), Photonic CPU Enhancer I Note that this is exclusively for PvE. I switched from antimatter to thorium for four reasons: it's cheaper, second highest DPS, reduces my capacitor use, and nearly doubled my range. | ||

As for the fit, small shield extenders do not exist in the game, burn that in to your mind, they do not exist. The destroyer has 8 turret slots, so you really want 8 turrets and no salvager. If you have low skillpoints, dont try to bend a fit with fitting modules when you lack cpu, it just gimps the fit. Only in certain cases are fitting modules really necessary and allow for a good/better fit, this isnt one of them. | ||
