I've got AWU4 which is nice, but if I got it to 5, a few fits would be possible that I can't currently run. Also, my rigging skills are shit, so I can be limited by that as well. And my drones are terrible, so no drone boats. I don't have great drug skills (not that I really use anything but quafe occasionally right now, so not a big issue), I only have cyber 4, thermo 4, and a few other really good skills that I really should have 5'd, but are still at 4..... My only saving grace? My navs are essentially perfect. Which kindof helps me fly kiting ships well, so at least the ships I can fly well are relatively consistent. 30 million SP really isn't much. I need at least another 30 in supports before I could consider this character to be decent..... I didn't train for a specific line of ships, so this is taking a lot longer than it could, but I do have the option of sitting in a variety of different ships, depending on what I want to fly a the time, rather than being stuck in a specific type of ship all the time. This gives me a bit of flexibility, because different ships are good at different things, and being able to pick the right one for the job at hand can be better than just bringing whatever can be brought. You can be a scrub with over 100 million SP. Or you can be a good pilot with very little SP. It depends on how fast of a learner you are. SP is a mechanic that gives you an idea of how long you've been playing the game, and it artificially increases the time needed to fly ships that progressively get more expensive, which is a good thing, because it prevents people from getting into ships that they have no idea how to fly until they are ready. Or, at least, that's the theory. In reality, it limits what good players can do, and bad players will still get their flashy ships, even though they are bad. | ||

We discussed the Marauder situation further and came with the following changes: Shield, armor and hull 30% resistance boosts have been removed on the Bastion Module - instead, all Marauders will now get proper tech2 resists. This will allow Marauders to have better RR use outside Bastion and reduce overall tanking effectiveness inside the mode. We have removed all tanking bonuses on the Marauders hulls (Armor Repairer amount on the Paladin and Kronos, Shield Boost amount on the Golem and Vargur). Instead, we are giving them 7.5% bonus to the velocity factor of stasis webifiers per level. This will not only help reducing their tanking effectiveness, be more in theme with the ship role itself and help anyone using them with short range weapons. We are not giving them a full 10% per level back as this would be extremely powerful in conjunction with the other bonuses / Bastion. We are going to leave the full 10% web strength amount on the Serpentis ships for now and see how things evolve with time. Also, we are removing the mass penalty on the Bastion mode. Tests have shown you can't really turn when it's active anyway, and we don't want to have players abuse that to collapse wormholes. I will change the OP to match the changes.
