Consumption of webs is as low as it's been in 6 months and the release of the isk/lp tool may have led some random highsec bears to make webs. Who knows.

I wonder what the biggest consumer of FN webs is. During past wars where alphafleet and tengufleet were top dog in the CFC, I know we went through huginns (and thus FN webs) like candy, but I get the feeling the web lokis in current doctrine aren't dying at nearly the same rate. Drone comps the enemy likes to fly rarely bother with webs.

It's possible I'm overestimating their use in nullsec warfare as a percentage of overall consumption.

Well the volume of admiral tags sold recently in jita should be a decent indicator of the amount of webs produced through LP if anyone is actually curious.

How exactly do you finish a roguelike? Or have I been misled?

aparently my "lets get 6 oracles and a heugin together and just kill the dam things" changed to a "lets get 20 teir 3 sniper bcs and sit at 200km away from the guards so we're safe and alpha them down".

luckily I'm apparently a super genius for suggesting a belicose or a rapier with fed navy webs for helping a fleet kill guards. apparently no one in the calmil realized that guards have insanely low sig radius.

A wise man will say that he knows nothing. We're gona party like its 2752 Hail Dark Brandon

I wrote I may finish it today
but to be honest it's pretty easy once you got the lichking and his crowspell, just get that, some fitting runes, keep on transferring max hp to max mana and in the end when you can't transfer anymore you'll have a shitton of mana and hp
the bats kill all the smaller monsters (the bigger ones lateron too if you up your magical damage), so just go into the big runes, release one wave of bats and you get quite a lot of extra max hp pretty fas and pretty easy
the only negative thing about the method is that you still have to go through the smaller rooms lateron too, you can just not do that, but then you'd miss out on possible extra max hp and mana, though luckily you clear those with one hit of the spellbutton
so, yeah
farmin made easy
(I got the lichking relatively early on since I wasn't afraid of getting worse looking upgrades to get the chance to unlock better options, it pays off in rogue legacy)
I found the crowspell in the castle itself with my first lich, I don't know if it's a class specific spell and if they randomely get it from the beginning or if you have to find it first though

EDIT: Oh and the transfer scales I think, so the higher your level is the more your manapool (and probably hp pool too) can grow

EDIT2: Just reread your post and noticed that you wrote roguelike and not rogue legacy, you could call the game a rogue light I guess, so yeah, it's finishable and you may die permanently but you keep on playing with your heirs

Yah... That guide on wiki is just flat out wrong. It describes the entire way nanogangs fight incorrectly. We dont sit at 100K and in the current meta, HAC'a are never used lol. Right now its all about t1 cruisers / navy cruisers / Tier 3 BCs. That is the ideal nanogang comp. if you have a recon or two, those are always welcome- but not required.

I kinda expected that since it didn't even mention the allmighty rifter.
It was still an interestering read that showed me some useful sidelinks though I guess

The rifter has be dethroned. Frigates in general recied a buff, however outisde of scram / web merlins- dont play any part in a nanofleet. With the advent of navy cruisers, all frigs that are not t1 speed fit / pirate / interceptors are too slow to keep up at this point.

Makes me feel like an old man, what's TL's ship of choice for the suicidal webbing part of the fun in today's days?

Merlin. Rifter is old, old news. Its outmatched. By the slasher / merlin / armor incursis.

not even

Oracles just blap everything off the field

No particular reason to have light tackle

I'd still argue that they're still a good way to hold something down for the big guns to kill, and they're also a bit of a "get out of jail free" card if something big does get scrammed. But they are far less useful than they used to be.

does that mean noobs have to feel useless again? D:
And can you look at the skilltree of your own old character from the eve website? Wanna know how far away I'm from bigger ships and what skills I went for back then, so I can start making money asap when I start again.

Having a disposable frigate capable of pinning down an expensive kill, or saving one of our own ships from certain death is far from useless. But with the recent changes, it is no longer as necessary to have tackle frigates, because they can be killed very, very easily. And, as a noob, you're probably going to just welp yourself anyways, so it may as well be in a cheap ship rather than something expensive. Also, from a FC point of view (with the little FCing I've done), I wouldn't want anyone to fly a ship that I'd be counting on to do a job properly, when the pilot doesn't have the SP and/or piloting skill and/or game knowledge to pull it off.

This is my view on it anyways; I prefer flying smaller ships, and I actually enjoy being a tackle frigate.

I was only on a handful of raids in my trusty rifter with you guys back then, but I think I didn't do a bad job back then (except once when I missclicked right into my own death and had kwark yell at me, which was hilarious due to his accent but I managed to feel ashamed for it (atleast I think it was kwark)) and got second place in the first Rifter Battle Royale, so I'm sure that I'll be okay when I get into the game again.

EDIT:
Now I know where I knew your name from Imp, back then you pmed me about letting you know if I ever come back to eve, I said I definitly will in like 1,5 years
and here I am
damn I'm good
I think you were even one of those whom I gave up my belongings to when I quitted the game ^^

EDIT2: and I still have access to the old subforum as well, even if it seems a bit dead, nice

EDIT3: Finished Bs2, only rogue legacy left

Lol, yea, you gave me your stuff when you left. I kept it in a station container for a long time (was a failfit noctis, thrasher, rupture iirc, and a bunch of salvage), but when I stopped missioning there after selling my missioning character, I shipped everything to Jita and sold it.

Real life has been getting in my way the past few days, in a good way though. I'll be on sometime this weekend, and I'll get you sorted out. Join faction warfare when you get back in, you can make some pretty good isk in there for a relatively new character.

Heh, my useful ship was destroyed while fucking around with scio in nullsec (and making money).
Scio was the one I gave most of my ISK to too when I left I think, gonna head out now for some physical labour, but will be back in the evening, expect me guiiizzzze.

EDIT: Actually I think it was split between scio and a guy called tom... or bill
both sounds wrong but I called him by some common name, he had the right humour and his avatar looked a bit like the guy in WoL who offers you merc deals in the campaign.

Turns out that the all of the bosses in rogue legacy were programmed by a cokeaddict who spent his puberty with playing bad arcade titles and bullet-hell games instead of thinking about that one hot chick in class who's a bit stupid but still an 8 out of 10 and may even go out with him.

Fuck.

After killing 7 million enemies called "grey knight", the black knight in the end with the german name was no big suprise.
The purple knight was though.

if you look it up on zkillboard, which can distinguish between BPOs and BPCs (eve-kill can't), it's actually only like 17b
