This is like the worst police sting in history.
Catching up with an old friend when suddenly "Sorry to hear about your misfortune but have you ever thought about exploring heroin? Its wonderful but I hear its risky."

I'm really offended that anyone would slander the TL commitment to following the CCP rules.

That botter I got banned somehow got his main unbanned and tried to sell his character, so I told a bunch of people and they shitted up his sale thread with botting accusations.

So over the past couple weeks I haven't played much and when I do it's pretty much always in the background. So I've been using that time and the stupid amount of ISK I have to learn to be a bomber. After losing several very stupidly (learning that hotdrops are common and armageddons are hard), I sat in a wormhole alone for about three days before I figured I would do what I should have done originally.
The plan: pick the most active bearland on the starmap, take a bomber loaded with torps and nanite there, sit and kill fat sanctum farming bears.
After a couple of near deaths to dictors on gates and missed noctis kills, I find a prophecy and a naga doing a haven at around 8:00am eve time. I sit and watch them for a bit while checking previous losses. Naga is rail fit if previous losses are to be believed, and prophecy despite being a six year old character is using Vespa I
I casually slowboat toward the naga who is kiting the spawns while the prophecy brawls at 0. Once I hit 20km I am confident my bomber can eat the naga alive before he reacts.
I decloak, point, and overheat torps.
What happens is the fastest half bil kill I've had since they buffed hulks. 7 volleys later I have this and a 15m bounty in my inbox:
http://iprot.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16614309
The loot fairy was kind and provided me with the three faction mag stab lows. Since I have no intention on leaving this side of space in this ship/pod and have no way to transfer the goods home, I sold them back to the person I killed at a clean 50m/ea through a series of elaborate drops.
Likely could have just scammed 100m or so from him and kept the lows, but I benefit more this way.
TLDR: Killed shitfit naga, sold his mods back to him, made 165m.

So, I got the trial yesterday (been trialing it before, was even in an early stage of the beta ages ago, but I'm still 100% a n00b) and I went into the hatchery pub channel... seems kind of dead. Is it even worth going for the TL guild? I don't really care all that much about mentoring and getting a longer trial, I just want some people to play with since playing solo will probably get boring pretty quick and I'm hoping I will give the game a proper chance this time.

It depends on the time of day. At certain times, there are very few people around, at others 15 or more.

Who was it that attracted 500 people to watching it? No clue. Must have been someone from radiant though because my team sucked :D Edit: Maybe not even anyone special, its just that the game was #1 ranked and thats what people tend to watch most.
