For solo they are okay I guess but they are still slow and unless someone warps to you at zero you'll have difficulty securing a kill. Their DPS is middling even with fantastic skills. Dual prop is really difficult to fit without gimping the ship but is probably the best set-up for solo work or you'll never tackle anything/anything you do manage to tackle will kill you. In assault frig groups they work as well as if not better than any other assault frigate because rockets are pretty good. I say this as someone who has three fitted hawks in his hanger RIGHT NOW.

Hawk actually quite a few of the AF matchups. However, for small gang work, I believe not great due to the lack of dps -- often you'll be trying to quickly gank something and disengage (though I'm certainly not an authority on this, ask one of our actual space samurai).

This is obviously talking about solo work. They don't really fit in gangs.

No it's the Hawk that's considered super-powerful, in lowsec in particular. The armor fit with dual web is fucking unbeatable by any frigate in a non-lopsided engagement. They live in Amarr (thats where 90% of their kills are in the last few days). We should seriously consider flying down there in a rifter fleet, reshipping at amarr and painting their fucking killboards red. I don't think they stand any chance against our fleets. It doesn't appear they've been fighting people who know what they're doing. I think you're missing the point. Moar Tears does not fight anyone ever. They just gank bears and freighters. They don't fight, they set up kills. They would never ever undock a fleet and come fight a fleet of ours.

Or we could just go to EC- and smash things without all the work and fuss?

Pretty sure people are calling the harpy super op right now...from what ive heard anyways The hawk is meh imo... Sure dual web fit is super strong but thats pretty much pure lowsec and its just gimmicky...not really op Also moar tears lol...not happening...they have 3 neutral remote rep per combat ship and dont leave highsec

Oh the missile effects, they are orgasmic for me. Not sure about turning missile launchers into more turret type things, but the new launch graphics are nice.

Round 1: Hydra: 3 Oracles, 2 Hydra Oracles at range, 1 at zero Wolfs Brigade: Two Talos, One Oracle, Two Talos at zero, One Orace at range. Hydra wins first skirmish with Two Oracles remaining, one in half armor, one in half shields. Dead Hydra Orace Pilot returns to the field in another Oracle. Wolfs Brigade takes a pretty long time getting ready to come back in. Wolfs Brigade comes back in Two Talos and a Tornado. The Hydra Oracle that is capping the beacon dies horribly, Wolfs Brigade dies in a fire to Hydra's initial Oracles. Wolfs back in 2 Talos and Oracle, Hydra destroys all with the 2 ranged Oracles. (I think someone saw our Oracles and thought they were good) Hydra is far in the lead at this point, reshipping again with another Oracle, retaining their tri-Oracle setup. Wolfs Brigade reships with Two Talos and One Oracle once more, they fall immediately. One Hydra Oracle in low armor. Hydra takes the game, wins the tournament. It didn't even look like Wolf's Brigade tried to play.

Yeh, Hawk is up there as one of the top tier AFs along with the vengeance and then just below them wolf/enyo depending on situation (wolf slightly above the enyo unless you can convince people to start in scram). Also, meta4 web/scram > T2. Don't automatically T2 fit everything. Especially not on a frigate. And Harpy is p average tbh, not bad just not great (poor gank, poor speed), although you can do some decent stuff 1v1 with it. (And 280 arty jag > all other ab AFs for lowsec duelling)
