In other news: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1033938Former IRC director and current goon Gobblock proceeds to rob IRC of pretty much every liquid asset they posessed after they went hostile to GS in the process of attacking goon ally RA. Oops. Maybe next time they'll think to run an internal audit next time they declare war on an alliance that a former director defected to Of course, now that their ability to wage war in 0.0 at all is in question, that may be moot. edit: Worth noting that IRC is a (former) goon ally, but goons love RA almost as much as they love PL, so...

I like:
The other day I was flying through Tribute/Vale and this RKK guy says something like "Wow! IRON still exist!". I notified him that we were doing fine and asked him about his new alliance KenZoku. He did not have a lot to say.
Well today I did a little research on dotlan and found out why that name sounded familiar. They have sov in 9 systems in Querious and Period Basis. That is the profile of a BOB pet if I have ever heard one.
What have you come to RKK when you leave BOB and become one of the pets? At least you could have chosen a better name, KenZoku sounds kinda Japanophilic (sorta like your corp name). But hey whatever floats your boat I guess.
Maybe do a LITTLE BIT OF RESEARCH before running your mouth in local. At least IRON holds some outposts and is not some Japanese BOB pet.
The responses to the topic are great as well :D

That has to be a troll. There's just no way...

(The original post provides a number of helpful links, btw.)
A few more details on the Intrepid Crossing corp theft:
The thief himself, Gobblock of GoonSwarm, started out as a director in the AWE Corp of Interpid Crossing. He became irritated by some unspecified event and left. Eventually he wound up in GoonSwarm. The character he used for the theft dates back a couple years and still had Directorship access even though inactive for all that time.
Haargoth's disbanding of BoB could have been prevented if someone had noticed that a Director had not logged in for four months and revoked his access privileges. You'd think after that incident any Alliance with half-competent security would have done an audit of their leadership characters...
No complete listing of what was stolen is available, but the theft at least in part included: 30 Dreadnoughts and Carriers, several Jump-drive capable Freighters, all of the modules and components to construct a Titan hull and then fit it out, large quantities of refined minerals and fuel stocks, 200 Battleships, and several hundred smaller "Tech 2" special purpose ships (electronic warfare, fast attack, interdiction, etc). You may have to "reload" the pages to get the images to display. Note the "Oldma's Crucifier" in the last picture, indicating it is the CEO's personal Frigate.
Intrepid Crossing was apparently very, very centralized. Oldma made all final decisions for the Alliance and most assets were stored with AWE Corp and handed out as needed. So this represents a large portion of the the Alliance's wealth, not just that of one corporation.
Intrepic Crossing were Goon allies up until this week. I've heard passing comments that IRC "bought" their space (Eastern side) from GoonSwarm a long time ago. But they made a series of political gaffs to get GoonSwarm to reset their Standings to hostile (and thus greenlight Gobblock to make the theft he'd wanted to for over a year).
Firstly, during BoB's MAX Damage campain against the North last year, Intrepid Crossing decided declare war on the Imperial Republic of the North (IRON). By putting additional pressure on one of the allied Northern states, they effectively were working to BoB's advantage. The war declaration didn't come to much, but the poor timing was noted.
Secondly, something that The Mittani did not include in his relation of how Darius JOHNSON's Titan was saved from certain destruction was that IRC had actually been their first solution. As GoonSwarm was leaving, they asked Interpid Crossing to please come down and fight AAA for the relevant systems. They didn't need to beat them, just delay them for a week. IRC agreed....and then never made it down. They gathered a fleet together and deployed it to the Detorid region, but then spent all of their time hunting NPC rats instead of confronting the Russians. The TITTS membership was particularly annoyed by the dereliction of the rest of the Alliance, and one of their members was the one to reveal this particular nugget.
Thirdly, they were attacking Red Alliance to begin with. There's a list of Alliances that are Best Brosefs For Life with GoonSwarm. Pandemic Legion may or may not be on this list, but Red Alliance and Tau Ceti Federation certainly are. After BoB attempted to drive GoonSwarm out of existence, it was Red Alliance who allowed them some space when they moved from the NPC Syndicate region to the South. Red Alliance was fairly heavily beset by enemies themselves, but GoonSwarm and Red Alliance ended up fighting back-to-back. TCF joined up a bit afterwards and for a long time the block was known as the RedSwarm Federation. Eventually TCF and GoonSwarm went on to greater success and Red Alliance fractured internally, with much of the membership folding into young-AAA. But Red Alliance is still one of the groups that GoonSwarm will drop almost any other priority to come assist. Apparently IRC presumed the Goons were too far away and too occupied to render any assistance.
Finally, when they launched their invasion of Insmother, the first place they attacked was C-J6MT. This is the Outpost-system that Red Alliance gave to the battered, remnant Goons in 2006. To the Goons this is holy land. The only place that has more significance to them is S-U8A4 where the GoonSwarm first came into being and weathered BoB's extermination campaign. This angered the Goon leadership more than anything else.
So, not the best security, a paranoid leadership, organization centralized to favor this kind of theft, a history that makes them look like a bad ally, underestimation of the reach of their target's allies, and diplomatic myopia. Some people are taking bets on the EVE forums if IRC will still exist in three months .

It will be interesting to see what Sunday will bring with those six towers on time to emerge.
|
Participants are reporting 1400 in 49-U6U, 1200 of them KenZoku-aligned. Anything over 1000 taxes the server. Observers are also saying they've never heard of some of the Corporations/Alliances in the system; KenZoku called in everyone that was even on passing friendly terms with them.
Coalition opened two Cyno-fields...then let them die as decoys. Three "real" Cyno's opened and an additional 100 ships jumped into the system with five losses. System population is now 1700+ with 300 of them Coalition O.o. I'm actually wondering if the Goons are trying to crash the node... The first of six Goon Towers has been destroyed...

That is where the TL alliance is going: straight into the middle of the belligerents.
|
There was no real fight today in 49-U6U. The Goon Towers were destroyed and Sovereignty should flip in the system. That doesn't end the fighting there though. The Coalition can continue to contest the system. On the other hand, KenZoku/AAA (it would be so much easier if I could use that acronym ) have a tactical dilemma on their hands. Their Load-and Lag approach has worked for them in the last week and a half...but it only works in one system at a time. If they move on from 49-U6U in a single mass, they risk having it taken back behind them. Yet if they remain, they gain no further ground. If they spread out to cover more than one objective, then they face engagement in actual battle.
So I guess BoB actually formed a beachhead or whatever which might start to earn them some ISK?

lol, have fun you crazy TL pilots.
From Human_Being:
EDIT: Bah! Assumptions and forgetting what I've reported and what I haven't: numbers for KenZoku themselves in today's mega-fleet of 1500 ships is being reported at 200 total.

Human_Being is starting to get a lot of things wrong. There is no "load-and-lag" strategy; 49- was holding up quite well today in terms of lag. The crux of the matter is not whether they can keep this "strategy" up: it's the question of how they're going to take back a Sov 3 system once they push further into Delve, and whether they're going to be able to keep W-4 from going Sov 4.
There is one concern for all parties in this war: industrial backbone.
There are four players: Kenzoku, AAA, the members of the RedSwarm Coalition directly involved in Delve, and the members of the RedSwarm Coalition directly involved in the war for the East.
Kenzoku currently has no industrial backbone. They cannot produce motherships or Titans except at a very slow pace, and will not be able to for the foreseeable future.
Goonswarm cannot produce quickly either, at the moment, but they are about to get their capital constellation, W-4, up to Sov-4, which will allow them to produce caps fairly quickly. (When systems get up to Sov-3, alliances can produce dreads at an acceptable pace. I think.)
AAA, of course, has gained space during this war. They will be able to produce as much as they want. AAA seems to be a trump card, an alliance which can use its superior might to force a bunch of battles, force heavy losses on both sides, rebuild with its (currently) superior manufacturing capabilities, swoop in and conquer W-4 before Goonswarm can produce even one Titan.
But here is where the eastern Alliances come in. AAA must defend its territory if attacked, and make no mistake: it is being attacked, in greater and greater force every week.
The question is this: what will win the race, the Sov 4 ticker in W-4, and the Sov-3 tickers elsewhere in Goon space? Or will Kenzoku and AAA make a strong enough push before it becomes evident that Kenzoku only has 4 SCVs mining? Or will it all become irrelevant when AAA pulls back to focus entirely on defending its Eastern flank?
I thought this conflict was getting stale, with the war seeming to boil down to a single system. But recent events have shown that there's much more to this war than 49-.

I suppose you hate BoB too then?
Anyway, what I'm interested in hearing is why is AAA helping BoB? Let's be honest here, without the Russians help (well, 1/2 of the russians) BoB would be goners.
Has there been any serious public reason given? No, it's not for the good fights.
The two were never friendly from what I remember. Did they suddenly start hating goons more for some reason? Did Molle make some kind of deal with Thug?

Look at the influence map. What will happen when Kenzoku is a non-factor? What will the Goons do then? What will they focus on?
Also, to whoever asked, the TL corp is on no side. Troops aren't going to be passing through Stain, so we can keep out of the fighting pretty well. Although, we are wardeccing an alliance that has been mentioned in this thread... don't ask who it is, though, cause I can't tell you. Yet.

The obvious eluded me yet again!
But still don't completely get why they don't just try to be best brosef with goons like TCF and RA.

So are AAA/Kenzoku (maybe 3,500 members total) the outnumbered, desperate underdogs in a battle against the massive Redswarm+PL coalition (around 10,000 members or more)?
