lol you never played korean grind mmo's. lineage2 comes to mind. most fun in this game was the grinding. because it involved so much more. in order to be effective at grinding you had to gorup up with other people for hours. so the social aspect was much more involved than any other mmo i have played during leveling. while grinding the good areas that give most xp, people would try to killsteal your mobs. pvp ensued. not fucking useless faction based pvp, real pvp. then it might evolve into mass scale pvp/pk just so you get to keep an XP area. how can that not be fun?? instead of "deactivate 3 generators" or "kill 20 nerf herders" you got to play the game with people however you wanted. ofcourse it involved more "grind" but it was not just grind, it was so much more. mindless questing is much more grind in my eyes.
dont get me wrong i love the class stories in swtor, but 1) it is way too easy, 2) it is too generic, 3) fucking voss those dream sequences are like the most boring quests in all mmos ever.

Just an aweful subscription glitch happening where most of us who just renewed our subscription can't log in... pretty lame.

This is how im starting to feel, loved it to 50, now im bored. PVP is a total grind. And the grind is even worse because they didnt roll back valor, so there is 40 guys on each side who have full champions gear and just ruin everyone in pvp. Ilum is way to big for the average 30 people a side at any given time.
Basically you have to grind huttball because the pops are so imbalanced. Ilum is terrible, and the flashpoints give terrible gear and arent all that interesting after 1 run. My entire guild is offline on a saturday afternoon, pretty self explanatory.
Its kinda sad, because I had such huge hopes for this game.

My favourite planet was belsavis for sure. i liked taris aswell, it had by far the best storyline (antagonizing sith is awesome) but i am not rly fond of post-apocalyptic-poisonous cloud sceneries. belsavis has every climate/scenery, is huge and has great passages from each area.
hated voss and corelia, having to take a 2min long taxi everytime you need to change area is tiresome... also the quests weren't that good (on voss, i didnt even bother with corelia, did class quests and got out). rest (hoth, quesh, nar shadda, dromund kaas, tatooine, alderaan of the top of my head) were rly good but nothing special. on my book taris and belsavis are the ones i am gonna explore to the full if i reroll again.

So I know there's a guild thread up and looked through it but couldn't quite find out what was "the" major teamliquid gathering if there was one.
If there's a Sith Empire side I'm so in!

Thats why I loved the fishing daily quests in WoW back during Wrath. Everyone would have to gather at the fishing spot, and pvp would almost always end up breaking out over who got to control it. Was a ton of fun.

I have played REAL korean grind MMO's (9dragons - no quests at higher lvl only grinding, i timed one level - 8 hours of pure mob killing and i wasn't even HALF OF THE MAX LEVEL)
SWTOR is so hilarious because they HIDE the grind. I walked out into Corc and saw bonus quest: kill 20 gang members. stage 2: kill 40. LOLWUT
It's not even a bonus quest either, if you DON'T DO THEM, you GET UNDERLEVELED lol.
I have a 41 and a 50 so I have plenty of experience in this game when it comes to questing.

It's a bonus quest because you have the option of not doing it. A lot of the bonus quests you will complete simply by doing your standard quests. If you skip too many and become underleveled there is always the choice of PvP or a flashpoint.
There's nothing wrong with 'hiding' the grind either. The masses today don't want to play the heavy grind mmo's of the past. Also your random use of caps lock is annoying and unnecessary.

if you purely quest and don't do the bonus quests, you do actually get underleveled and are forced to PvP/Flashpoint etc. it's not really a bonus quest then is it?

Not from my experience at least, on my first character I skipped all the AREA quests, about half of the stage bonus quests, all the Taris quests except my class quests (because Taris had huge memory leaks) and did only 3 flashpoints and still hit 50 with quests to spare.

It's a bonus quest because you don't need it to complete the story or zone, how are you not getting this? Seeing as you chose to be a forum warrior about it, I should probably let you know that writing words in all capitals isn't how you should add emphasis to a sentence. Educationfail.jpg

Why would I make up 7 hours? Have you guys ever heard of alt-tab? Holy shit. We'd play a lol match and tab to check after it's done. We'd play civ 5 and constantly check. Like it's fucking hard. But don't worry, keep spelling it que.

Swtor has an awful boring grind masked as innovative class quest my ass
On top of that a quest can be 10 mins walk 2 mins to complete.
ps as for grind vanilla daoc ... try beat that , a week to proceed from 48 to 49 with 50 cap lvl also you couldnt solo a mob litterally without downtime QQ

Lol, your talking crap
You get logged out after about 10 minutes. a LoL match is closer to an hour.
Dont see how you could manage that tbh, dont act a douche. You came in here to downtalk the game with BS and failed, now leave with what dignity you have.

Yeah dude, because alt tabbing is so hard, amirite? You are beyond retarded. You're just buttfrustrated something is fucked up with the game and can't deal with it. BTW it takes a lot longer than 10 minutes to get logged out, you fucking imbecile.

Childish reply but i'll grant you one last insight.
Waiting for a game, why would you do something like a game of LoL which takes well over 30 mins to finish off, not something you could stop very easily? - Dominion is still 20-30 minutes, not to mention much more fast paced making it harder to alt-tab -_- dont add things to your pretty story
Alt-tabbing every 5-10 minutes for 7 hours, no break away from your PC for any lengthy periods. Not forgetting once, this is you and a friend / multiple friends doing this.
You also didnt miss the queue while tabbed out at all, am i right? No disconnects from anyone either (although that one is possible.)
Im calling BS. Right here, call me beyond retarded and "buttfrustrated" all you like, it says more about you then it does me

all you have to do is auto-run towards a wall and you'll never get logged out. its not that hard.

So does anyone have a / know of a legit way to make this game playable and not do massive fps drops all over the place? Especially in warzones... i've googled it for hours, tried to change the .ini file atleast 10 times... sometimes i get a boost but it always comes back to 10-15fps warzones and choppy play outside of them. Kills the game for me. Help
(when the game is running good, it's at a 100 fps, so yes i have a good enough machine to run it no problem)
