In this example, Slayer does a jumping dust attack on Eddie. After that Eddie predicts (okok this is just training mode) Slayer to land and doing low attacks so he starts block crouching. BUT Slayer jump canceled the jumping dust, does another jumping dust which hits Eddie although seemingly he cannot reach him. And in the end, SUPER COMES! CHOGOTTA DAI DANDY | ||

Anyhow, GG fuzzy guard works like this- your hitbox stays in whatever state you started blockstun in until you leave blockstun. If you blocked high to start, even if you crouch block, your hitbox is your standing hitbox. What this generally means is that moves which normally don't connect against crouchers will hit them, which sets up a lot of trickery after knockdowns. Since hitstun is increased when you crouch and get hit, this gets pretty brutal for some characters. So yeah, the main thing is you get to hit them with overheads (jumping attacks) that normally wouldn't connect when they crouch, and you get the benefit of hitting them crouching. HOWEVER, after they get hit, they've left blockstun so their hitbox goes to whatever they were doing when they got hit, so you still need a move that can hit them crouching to follow it up. Note that the "hitbox resets" thing doesn't seem to be the case in Arcana Heart; as far as I can tell, if you get hit by a fuzzy guard string, you are considered STANDING as long as their combo doesn't force crouch or knockdown/launch. Heart gets to do jump in whatever, fuzzy guard jA XX DP HC into big combo because of this. | ||
