Not for Tekken~
I find Tekken better on pad too. left thumb on d-pad and right index and middle fingers on top of the buttons. Though the Mishima's feel better to play on stick imo
SilentW: what is european reset Sabator: SilentW: european reset is when you start a combo and then put staggers IN THE COMBO so every hit of your combo is a counterhit and it does massive damage Sabator: only works on other europeans
lol, sounds like an extended version of the American Reset in melty.
1. Start combo. 2. Drop combo (intentionally of course ). 3. Opponent is still mashing to reduce damage, so they don't block or get counterhit by your next attack. 4. Continue the previous combo.
It actually annoys me how quickly you tech in BB. Baod usually drops his Litchi corner combo on me, but after I tech out, I end up attacking before I can react to my own tech and stop mashing.
I like the teching in AH better: not only can you flip left or right in the air, but the flips also take longer, so you're less likely to accidentally do an attack after teching.
Against my friends I often do the following (mostly in melty but not exclusively): 1. If close walk up to them, if far dash towards them. 2. Whiff a throw because I suck. 3. Walk a bit closer. 4. Throw them.
Seems to work best when the timer is low and both of us are 1 hit from death.

edit: FYI any1 who wants to be good at FG's just try and get a stick. its so much better and more effective than a pad. im too scrub to switch over so i just stick with the scrub method lol
Kinda, I been useing the right side of my thumb which makes the left go down sometimes i guess! I'm just way too cheap to buy a stick. I gotta hone my vertical thumb poking powers.
Damn, he used to play AHF but I haven't seen any vids of him lately.
So tonight we played SF4, 3s, and AH2. We had only 3 PS2 sticks so we were forced to run SF4 on one TV the entire night. But everyone preferred to play 3s and/or AH2. =P
I've noticed another downside to SF4: there's really nothing different you can do in SF4 that you can't do in 3s or AH2, anyway. (Well, 3s doesn't have DP FADC DP/throw mixup, nor fireball spam, but other than that.) I'm sure there are other games that are practically supersets of SF4, too.

there's plenty of stuff you can do in 4 that you can't do in those two games.
just like how fakesteve shouldn't try to convince you to play sf4, you shouldn't try to convince us to play arcana heart.
