DC version wasn't arcade perfect, Anakaris got owned in DC version =p
Am I missing a joke here? Last I checked nothing changed with Anakaris. I'm good friends and play with one of the known Anakaris players in the world (AnakarisCurse, TheMummy @ SRK) and I've never heard once from him about Anakaris getting nerfed at DC version

shrug there was a really old discussion on whether or not MvC2 was arcade perfect and someone (Viscant, maybe?) brought up not being able to do the curse infinite in the DC version- maybe only an issue with some assists? Post is old and probably long gone so I dunno the details (nor am I going to hunt down a DC just to test Anakaris infinites =p ) so shrug. From what I remember from match vids and such, doesn't AnakarisCurse play Anak/SonSon? 'cuz I remember seeing him do more resets and stuff rather than fishing for infinites in the vids I've seen, so I dunno how much the DC version affects his gameplan.
-checked the wiki, it was indeed Viscant who said the Anakaris infinite can only be done in the arcade version. Granted, he still has his tricks/resets/unblockables or whatever to work with, but that's still the difference between a tricky low stamina character and a tricky low stamina character with a 300% combo off a pseudo-trijump or a c.LK.
Hmm, I never noticed it.. it doesn't work even with Dhalsim AAA?
AC doesn't use infinites as his main game-plan. Since the damage setting in all arcades around the capital region of the Philippines are at level 1 setting (Default is level 2). It kinda helps anakaris survive more than one hit (Storm/Sent DHC isn't exactly scary here, Storm/Ironman, Mag/Ironman and practically anything to Ironman or Ironman/Cable is the DHC of death here). And since AC can consistently air combo you to more than half your life using air snake super, he'd rather do that than infinite. He's also very good at forcing snapback infinites using Anakaris or Sonson and will kill your assist with it Showtime style, every time. O_O
His favorite tandem is Anak/Sonson-AAA (free mummy grab 95% of the time per AAA connect) Usually its Sonson/Anak/Cable or Anak/Storm-y/Sonson but he does great with a bunch of other Anak or lowtier teams as well.
I've seen him lock down a psylocke with more than 3/4 life without meter in the corner with Rubyheart and Sonson-AAA.until she died.(Storm was dead for the MSP player and he couldn't tag in Magneto for fear of getting snapped back out again).
I have received word that there are two titles that may see release in the near future, and I wanted to post up about it before anyone else got their hands on it. I haven’t seen it around the net so far in the 10 minutes that I checked around so hopefully this news is still fresh.
Blazblue 2 or a variant (expansion with new chars, perhaps?) looks like it’ll go on sale sometime in October of this year. In addition, King of Fighters 12 Black looks like it will go on sale in December 2009, and will probably be an update containing the console characters that are supposed to be included with the retail version of the game this summer.
Dunno how reputable this is, but that's interesting. I wonder if this is the 'interesting news' AksysGames was talking about on SRK.
According to Aksys Games, all the pre-orders so far get a FREE upgrade to BlazBlue LImited Edition, which includes a 2 disc OST, and a disc containing information/tutorials from dustloop/shoryuken.
I'm not entire sure about the netcode being used for BlazBlue, then again I don't really have to worry about that for now, I have cabinets that are fairly close to my location. Bay Area woooo
So I've decided to try to learn tekken (5:dr). Do any TLers (preferably on the PSN!) play it much? I'd feel better losing to a TLer than a random when I play online :D
