By the way, anyone who's not following "Street Fighter 4 Help" and has never heard of The Johnsons before will probably want to read this.

Anyone else have trouble in Cps3 Emulator when doing kara stuff with akuma (only guy I tried).
I cannot kara-anything for the life of me.
Kara Throw, Kara UOH, Kara Demon, none of it works. I dunno if it's the keyboard or what.

I made a short thread here and didn't get much help http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?p=6215700#post6215700

PS- Do I have to kara on the first 1-4 frames or what?

For a little more specific advice on what could be going wrong, I know that when I originally hooked up a controller to usb on my pc, it would only check for inputs once every 3-5 frames or so, leading to a lot of missed motions (even basic things like fireballs). Upping the usb polling rate (I found some tutorial on how to do it by counter strike players) fixed all my problems though

It's more likely that you're just not able to do it on a keyboard, I can't see keyboard buttons presses being practically timed to such accuracy the way kara demons would require.

that's strange man, cause standard usb poll rate is 125 Hz, so it checks 125 times in a second, while there are 60 frames in a second, so it should've checked twice for every frame

maybe trumpet is on to something. I can easily wakeup-RD or c/sRH-RD
I have noticed that often when I srk a hadou comes out or vise versa (or sometimes just a punch). Or any move for that matter actually, sometimes it just doesn't come out.

I use keyboard for PPP , KKK and dpad on controller.

I know the moves work, i've seen them done. This is the post that made me post here. It's very vague.
like for example, kara-UOH is just forward and mk+mp and it just doesn't work but it can't be the keyboard because in order to do UOH i need 2 keypresses, and since im using dpad for the 3rd press it shouldn't effect it right?

Raging Demon input window is a hell of a lot bigger than kara-throw input window, AND requires no simultaneous button presses. It pretty much has no bearing on whether or not you can kara-throw with your input device.

If you have a pad, map buttons to the pad so you don't have to deal with keyboard input limit crap. If you're not on a USB keyboard then USB refresh/polling rate has nothing to do with your inability to kara-throw; even if you are using a USB keyboard, keyboard input reading limit and the fact that keys just aren't very good arcade button substitutes are far more relevant concerns.

And even then... it's doable. I just did booted up FBA and did it like 5 times in a row on keyboard (Akuma kara-throw, that is). So the issue is probably a combination of you not having the timing down and keyboard being a generally bad way to play fighting games.

I just tried it on keyboard and could not do the kara-throw, with button config punches ASD, kicks ZXC. The problem was keyboard input limit, as when I changed R -> LP and Y -> LK I was able to do it fine. (I tested mapping A -> MP, S -> LP, X -> LK and that wouldn't work either.) Just map the buttons far away just to check if it's the keyboard input reading that's the issue.

On a side note...I forget the site(s) that lets you watch nicovideo if you don't have an account, but this is the self-styled "keyboard master" (that's his tag on GGPO...I think people are saying it's TKO, the Vampire Hunter champ)
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6100982

edit: oh yeah of course, different vid:
+ Show Spoiler [Furious Keys] +

Didn't somebody win a MB tourney on keyboard sometime? Play on whatever you want, but don't complain if stuff doesn't work or is hard, I guess.

yea, I forgot to mention that I mapped forward mp+mk all to 1 button and I still couldn't kara UOH or kara throw either.

I seriously tried for like a half hour to kara anything and you would think I could accidentally do it at least once but no. I'm on a ps2 keyboard.

Is there a way I can slow down the emulation and can someone tell me the perfect frame timing to do all the kara stuff so I can test.

edit- ok yea im testing it here at work with straight keyboard and i can kara uoh easily T_T
does akuma make the Zugai Hasatsu hmm-hmmpf sound when you do kara throw too?

The math is there for you to be right, it may have had something to do with going through an adapter that changed things. Maybe? I really don't know the technical side of it, I know the caveman logic it didn't work before, I pushed some usb polling rate buttons, and I go from unable to fireball to can genei jin again. :D

That shit is actually what kept me off of GGPO for the longest time, and as soon as it was resolved, I fell the fuck in love with GGPO lol. As such, I recommend it as a possible fix for anyone having problems
