u talking about this match?
yea but im pretty sure his main is rufus. the guy in the video even says jwong was using rufus the whole time b4 the finals.
all in all i suggest lots of players who already know the basics of the game should pick up rufus. great damage, decent pokes, dirt-easy comboable ultra, nice aggressive style, and he has boob physics
I agree with sung_moon on learning some rufus on the side, it's a lot of fun. Warning though, this is a lesson I learned the hard way: Even though Rufus has a yun/yang dive kick, he still generally has to obey the Street Fighter IV: Don't Jump rule. My god I lost a lot of matches learning that the hard way >.>
I'm trying to learn Rufus, but I don't know what to do upclose. What attack strings does he have? I often play him as an alternative, but the results are not so good.

usually when u get upclose divekick mix-ups are always good. rufus is very good offensive/rushdown char
usually after divekick u can tick throw, overhead, another divekick, target combo, divekick cross-up, HP, low jab/short etc. so many possibilities lol
mayb we cna get some games in PSN ID is sung_moon
edit: also galactic tornado after jab/short/HP is safe, lots of chip, and can lead to good followups. EX messiah kick is the sex especially if u can get down messiah fadc ultra. be careful with blocked ex messiah's and how u follow up. short is unsafe on block and if your opponent is tricky they can lvl2fa if u try a sweep/overhead
wow no kens or giefs, or akumas in the top 10 :O and three hondas! Man SFIV has depth of field. And in that jap tournament the winner dhalsim! Loving the balance of this game tbh.
I'm playing in a SSBB tournymant this weekend for a moderate prize. The thing is, though, that I havn't played SSBB much lately (i stopped playing actively a couple months after it came out)
Have there been any major sorts of developments style wise that I should know about? The last I knew, Dedede was wrecking everyone with imba chain throw, Metaknight was spamming his whirlwind moves, Snake had a glitchy slide thing, and Pit was a spammy camper.

Watch Ken I. videos.
Edit: an important thing to note is that you want to hit your opponent's legs or feet with your divekicks. If you hit them too high, on block you won't have any frame advantage when you land, and on hit you won't be able to combo after it.
Also, a safe thing to do against most characters (except Blanka, or Ken w/ ultra) is a cross-up divekick as they're getting up. If they wake-up uppercut or ultra, it'll miss you. The biggest problem is that you'll be hitting their head, so even if it hits you won't be able to combo off of it, and you'll be in serious frame disadvantage if they block it.

watch this guy's videos. You can see him spam combos and mixups over and over, and he'll say stuff that is important from time to time. Like the fact that a blocked headbutt from honda can be punished every time with L.HP (but not the EX headbutt, unless he just missed the timing)
you can see how not to play ken throughout the videos too
DSP videos? My roommate and I were laughing at those for a while. That guy is the most whiny piece of shit I'd heard in a long time lol. Last one I watched (I think of the sagat videos) he was bragging about beating players who random ultra'd 100% of the time they had it.
lol at calling fubarduck "obviously not good" when he got raped so hard in the 3rd round >.> or my favorite "I WANTED A HEADBUTT" (headbutt isn't an armor break, and as such, would have lost just as hard as the dash punch he got).
There's definitely good info there, but you have to sift through a lot of garbage to get to it :{
Edit: ZaplinG, you're probably not going to get any smash info out of this thread. No one here plays it >.>
This thread's primary purpose is masturbating to badlands loops, getting paid, and making sure to mention your fight money as much as possible.

this is interesting since i was wrecking my friend so bad in sf4 he said "fuck it play a real fighting game" and proceeds to hook up the wii and put on brawl.... lol
smashboards always works. im pretty sure that metaknight and snake tier are like s-class thou. i dont think pit is all that great either. but im trash at brawl so yea.....
