I heard it was a 5 vs LOAD game, but that doesn't seem to be the case.. CM/SF | SS/Glacius not a complicated lane. Basically slow and freeze set up for easy razes, resulting in a softish strong lane. Glacius can vary his spell leveling slightly but since SS is practically the same as normal build, the strat doesn't require watching but more practice.

Chipper and Glacius is just wow.

It's a dumb lane. It's totally unnecessary in DotA.

Not to mention you only get 1 psuedo-stun and 1 slow (not counting ultimates).

I guess no more HoN for me until I buy the game.
It was fun.

No point, your CM there just takes away from the SF, if you want a support puller, you might as well go Chen and Enigma with better upside. SF doesn't lane well for the the first 3 levels, having a CM in the lane doesn't help that. Hell, you can't even pressure a babysit lane with that lane. Then come gank time, CM can't cover the SF that well and the SF sure as hell can't cover the CM, just weak overall.

Thanks for elaborating on what I had already said, except that you think the lane is absolute trash and you should never-ever do it. Yes, it's a stupid lane, but it's not that bad. No, CM is not there to support pull or jungle, this is assuming it's warded and you're not going to counter ward it, the point of the lane is to heavy harass. Yes, the lanes not that effective, but its viable when team picks > lane picks and lane configurations aren't any better swapped. All things considered, you don't play it on top lane Sent/bottom lane Scourge.

The lane itself has raped many top lanes and players multiple times. It's a really strong lane and in the easy lane it just demolishes alot of strategies. SF still gets his souls up quickly and just dominates last hits/denies and the opposing lane can't stop him after level 3 (they literally have to go at level 1 hardcore or they will lose the lane, but vs a dual ranged/slow? you take a ton of damage with any melee/ranged stun combo). On top of that once SF is level 5 glacius can pull 2/3 stacks in the jungle to stack them 2/3 times and sf clears them out in < 10 seconds for mad money/exp. I've watched F8/tabako dominate lanes time and time again with this lane and SF comes out 20 minutes in highest level and highest farm due to how well it works. I mean he farms in a dual lane, but because at level 7 you can clear all the creep camps instantly, you can have under 20 min treads blink bkb easily, which frees up mid for another solo (testie) meaning you have 2 overly farmed heroes/winning lanes in the game. Its hard to compete with that.

Its hard to compete with that. In DotA the lane is bad with roamers like es and vs (and alch), stacking isn't as good, and also if you pull SF usually has to deal with a strong range/disable lane. It is particularly weak to stunners (a good ES wrecks this lane) because they are both softies and you only have 1 slow and 1 psuedo stun that isn't going to stop any stuns and you have to rely on your nukes to get along. Basically the lane hopes for a farming mid lane (lv 6 beastmaster is bad news), no roamers and minimal disable/weak nuke lane on bottom.
Since the original question was for HoN, your advice applies much more, but in DotA it's a lane that's counterable and can go either way.

Glaucus >>>>>>>>>> CM by so much it's not even funny, which is why I said for DotA. CM is easily the hardest bitch support you'll play once lanes break down, even more so after the nerfs/changes to Phase Boots. The reason why this lane doesn't work is that you need that SF to hit 7 or 8 quickly, because then he becomes free-er in terms of farm, his mid game gets opened up because he can power farm, team fight, or gank if your lanes support it. The problem with sticking a CM in the lane is that you slow that progression too much and run the risk of the SF becoming a potential non-factor mid game.
The other reason is that SF can't cover the CM early (particularly at level 3 and 5).

And good thing this is HoN and not dota. And it isn't that easy to counter it, and it's not something you pick right away. It's something you can save for the later picks to demolish what heros they have sent top. And a good ES can't demolish it in the easy lane, because he's not blocking anything.
