His final score 5-10-0 and all of those 5 kills = KS. They need to put something that doesnt let EM players join noem games (like no leavers.. no em players).

Just today I played a game where I was Arachna and tried to carry my team through early/mid game until our wraith would kick in... Unfortunately after my initial ganking and overall good performance our team started to lose a bit since enemy team had more heavy-hitters and I was unable to keep any of them at bay since whenever I webbed/ulted a half-hp FA for example our WS would wait until she had 50hp and ult her... When I asked him why was he stealing this kill he said he needed to keep up his KDR (not to mention he was saying during the game how -em games are so much better). It wouldn't be half that bad as he didn't manage to steal much since he was dead most of the time, unfortunately we also had a Pyromancer who thought that KDR is the only indication of one's skill and thus proceeded to steal anything he could (getting quad-kills near the end of the game after the entire team has commited, we lost 2 guys and only then he started using his skills). You'll never see anyone buy a courier or wards. Everyone plays selfishly pretty much. I'd stick with non-em if you want to improve tbh.

I feel you man ![]() That's not really indicative of EM, to be honest. Are you saying that people in non-EM don't KS? It's indicative of people being assholes; they exist whether you play EM or not. As for the EM vs non-EM argument, from someone who plays both and actually has a higher KDR in non-EM: Yes, the fastest/bgh vs. melee SC analogy works pretty well. Tournaments are all in non-EM, so if you want to play somewhat competitively non-EM is what you want to look for But just as fastest vs. melee goes, if all you're planning for is fun, there's nothing wrong with playing EM. It simply requires a different skill set: EM requires a lot of heroes to be played differently, and item builds are a lot more important, since skills tend to play a lesser role due to the fast leveling/item farming which renders things such as Pyro's Phoenix Wave ineffective much earlier. I play EM sometimes simply because I think it's much more fast-paced. I disagree with the comment above me saying that you can die ten times with no repercussions. Actually, it may be even worse in EM because the other team can get items faster than they typically would in non-EM. And, if they are all carries, that makes even less sense: you're feeding their carries, while at the same time, your own carry isn't being fed/isn't farming. It's also a lot more punishing, faster: I have played far more EM games that concede at 15 minutes than non-EM games that do the same. Still, I think that non-EM is the way to go. There is far more strategic sense, tactics, map control, and the skill is required is much greater. EDIT: Ah. I stand corrected.

Actually, EM is called easy mode because it used to be called shortmode, but people in pubs farmed and refused to push just like in normal pubs, so they renamed it.

I have this thing where I don't like to push unless I'm almost sure we'll rape them (like 1 death vs genocide). It's like my TvT style of starving them -_- Bad habit though... waste so much time.
