It's 4(sent) vs 5(scourge), 7 minutes in. Lineup: drow/ck/es/razor vs potm/dusa/chen/magi/void 3;1 for sent due to void dying twice and dusa dying once. average level is ~5
is this game over? here's my argument for why it's not: synergy: void ult with 3 range support versus uhm.. glass cannons? disables: 2 guaranteed stuns plus 3 potential aoe ones (chen) versus 1 + 1 aoe stuns not counting item based (probably at least one guinsoo guaranteed for scourge, and probably 0 for sent) time: it's like 7 minutes in. you can't be serious.
p.s. don't offer to buy chickens, as it's apparently a bannable offense.
Actually, it can be if the scourge doesn't pick it up real quick. Blink-Int ES is a perfect setup for CK blink ulti to stun, pretty much nil-ling either your Void or Chen. Drow hits the Silence during that and its GG 2+ players. Even if you don't clump its still risky as Sent's upside is alot higher than Scourge's not to mention a BKB + Silence effectively puts two (three if potm is playing support) of Scourge's heroes out of the offensive.
Plus not to mention CK make easily make it living hell for your Void to farm effectively and Razor is autofarmer so yeah, if Scourge doesn't pick it up real quick, you are boned pretty quick.
Void sucks because he has massive issues farming compared to some of the other carries, and since he died twice already chances of a quick Radiance to alleviate that is pretty bad.
Basically it boils down to this, if Scourge can hold first towers, then they'll be fine, if they can't, they lose, it really is that simple.

1. Void gave away firstblood, and was a public. 2. They only had 1 pub, we had 2. Both of whom were bad. 3. Ogre Mage in a hard lane bound to be poor. So with our 2 soloers under-levelled and already beaten, our double laners not doing well, it was over. JianFei would have sliced through us all, especially with his friends whom are fairly decent support allies and have enough stun to keep any of us who got too powerful disabled while they have complete map control, rune control, and all that otherjazz.
Your jungling chen is good, but razor would cut through that shit fast. Iefnaij is far better than anyone else on our team, and if I was already that far behind him after he got a kill on me, it was over. I could already see how the entire game would play out, and it would have been a one sided rape no matter how you cut it.
In your assessment, you are not taking into account the players skill, or how fast each player would farm.

These 2 factors are irrelevant for the simple fact that you said yourself this game was over after the picks, hence apparently it doesn't matter how well people play, as it was already over
Basically it boils down to this, if Scourge can hold first towers, then they'll be fine, if they can't, they lose, it really is that simple. for the lane situation: mid was sort of even, scourge a bit behind. top was being dominated by scourge (yes, drow was farming quite bad. not as bad as void, but still), bottom was being dominated by sent. so it was about 50-50, with chen not doing anything yet.
i'm just pissed for 2 reasons mostly: a) that you're too scared to play out a game where there's a high chance of you losing (yes, i'm not denying scourge was far behind that game. i am denying the fact that scourge was irreversibly behind) .. (whereas I see it as a perfect opportunity to improve... i'd much rather get dominated every dota game I play by a full styl lineup, rather than own some pubs) and b) saying that buying chicken makes you a god that cannot be wrong and cannot make mistakes, because if you do, it was because you bought the chicken, even if it's 50 minutes into the game.
oh, and yes i will be buying a chicken every game from now on so you don't have to worry about it

personally i don't like wasting time in a game if the outcome is obvious, be it five minutes into the game or twenty. though i don't judge a game based on heroes at first, just how things flow thereafter, if it's apparent one side is going to be dominated easily with only a few small windows of hope i'd rather the game end right then, then waste the time going through it with the possibility of it dragging out for a long while. i don't care if i lose, but if it's obvious my team is going too then i'd rather not waste the time dragging it out.

Add people to your friend list. You will the friends tab on the right with their location (what room theya re in). then just talk to them on ggc to arrange a game when they are out of one.

ok, my screenname is spydee06, I think I'm just going to start adding everyone that I may have recognized from one time or another...

Good thing I quit playing/following leagues or I would never hear the end of ' THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST ' Aren't you doing HTGN this season? Technically I'm on a HTGN roster. I handed over our team's spot to Kity and his friends and said I would ring if he needs me. I still can't believe you're gonna go without a computer for a semester that is ridiculous lol.
Lol, yeah its pretty brutal, but I have a 360 to hold me over.
Oh yeah, just a heads up, trns beat vts in cal-i using a fucked up line up, if you guys meet them again, they'll likely be playing different.

Well, as long as Scourge holds the towers, they win. Late game potential or not, if Sent does a proper push to force a team fight (before the cow gets a blink dagger), you have a chance to win, basically you have to chain stun the ES and follow up with a Chrono to win an early team fight, ward the forest with Chen (who should be going book3 to screw up ES).
In my head it plays out like this, if Sent ganks and you die, you are boned; if they don't and rice, you can indirectly counter them with a Chen push. Basically you are on two timers, one is the timer for ES getting the dagger, two is TB getting his w/e. ES can defend the lanes long enough for TB, so the real dilemma is keeping the ES down while keeping an eye on TB.
Void dying twice is kind of retarded, underfarmed yes, but twice? I am gonna guess that the Void went for Backtrack and not Walk. You have a Chen and you have a Void on Scourge side...thats screaming for abusing the jungle.

vTs kept asking me to join rofl. trNs is a lot better because they picked up the old gL roster [ cubs, etc ] and twisted from TIHL. They actually attended the fire n ice lan in Chicago and did okay.
I pretty much don't play dota at all anymore unless it's with competent people. Maybe 1-2 games a day max as opposed to the 5-10 before =/.

Any good websites you guys reccomend on builds and strategy. I've been playing pub games for a couple months, but I'm still pretty noobish.

how do you play 5-10 games a day O_O

Ok thats what I thought. I do realize builds have to be adjusted based on the flow of the game and what heroes were selected. Thanks for the help.

Oh shit, I missed so much drama!
Typically, the game ain't over till it's over. Exceptions if you have accurate knowledge of skill level difference. Crappiest lineup in the world can still beat a good pick bad skilled team. I never lose faith in my opponents' stupidity in GGC pub games.

I really get into games I have the skill to be competitive at. Sc, cs, dota have been those games. So when my friends and I played dota together in leagues I was extremely active, always up for games. DotA is the game I was best at competitively so I was a bit disappointed in the end when our team called it quits. I didn't join another team because I'm one of those people that would rather lose with friends then win all the time with skilled strangers. I suppose that holds me back from being successful, but hey =/
Edit: Good DotA ladder players [ IHCS, TIHL ] play so ridiculously much. Even by my standards, I'd say maybe 20 games a day for the top 15 players. Granted, not every single one is hardcore -xl or -rd games but still.

lol vTs seems pretty good, i dunno i haven't seen any of their league games but i know some of their players and they're good
ack you should keep playing lol i only played 2 games with you but you were really good and really mannered haha
on a side note.. i cant wait til dota comes out for sc2!!! LOL
