What's DXDi? I'm assuming it's a good league where leavers don't exist.

In that case, congratulations.

I have a question for some of you: what lower-level leagues exist besides TDA? I bought WC3 to play DotA, not play 400 melee games hoping for 25 disconnects so I can apply. (I understand why they do that, but it makes no sense for me to play one game to play another. It's like playing hockey in a tryout for a baseball team.)

Edit: I have two friends with TDA accounts, but neither of them will vouch for me or my friends because they can't each vouch for five people, so it isn't fair to the rest of our friends to vouch for one person and ignore four other people.

yeah, i've only played tda a few times on my friends account haha.. honestly, i'll agree with you in that that doesn't make sense why they do that. Probably to keep people from multi-accounting but i think it's the wrong way to approach it.

If you play USWest, try playing DXD. http://dxd.totalgamingnetwork.com

This is an open league and the general skill level is above that of pubs, but there's still some shabby people every now and then. but the top tier players in that league are insanely good, many are from the top teams in us, ca, etc.. even merlini still plays here sometimes.

you need to download a program called dota client which prevents multi accounting and hacks (yes, it really works im not gonna explain how). you can get that here:http://www.dotaclient.com

it's basically like an online ladder in a sense with bots who keep track of your stats and you get a rating starting at 1000. If you play dxd open for a while and you're good enough, you can apply for a vouch for dxd invite its tightttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

DXDi really gave me bad impressions in my few games there, some of the good players are major fags, and dota client is a POS on a lot of computers. Half the players in there believe everyone else is maphacking and ask for SS. Its still better than TDA but not by much. TIHL on East is decent from what I hear and IHCS is still tops as far as in-house leagues go. I think the requirements for DXDi is replays from non-pubs and quality in house to 1v1 or 5v5 try outs, I think. Ack1027 should know...

Oh and TDA has different vouch requirements than before, you don't need an icon as you can just post (with guidelines) and become vouched.

they cant ask you for ss anymore because dota client takes care of that. if you remove dota client in the game its auto shitlist for the remainder of the season. judicator whats your uswest id?

I got vouched in DXDi after a filling out an application and playing a test game. I lost a few 1v1's vs some well known players but the tryout game allowed me to play support and I got accepted. It's better than TDA I'll give you that, but not by much. Don't expect much from ladders. Unless you like playing with complete strangers who almost never communicate that is...

Most ' known ' North American players played in DXDi when I started and they pretty much cried about all their losses blamed their team and lower ranked players and said ' see i would never lose games like this in ihcs '

I was vouched in IHCS2, and IHCS divisions 1 and 2 are definitely the best in the world. I got unvouched from IHCS2 due to experience decay because I quit playing it after my team quit leagues. The ventrilo is mandatory but it's in europe so you lag whenever you talk to the europeans that have very bad english/bad mics. The skill is definitely there though. About 30% can speak good English. Every top world player was playing in IHCS2 when I was there because IHCS1 was inactive at the time. Yes that means, Vigoss, Merlini, Malek, Hit0mi, Pandemic players, etc.. I played with them all in games. It's nice you get your own IHCS GGC room and play with pre-made teams with heroes picked from a bot made by irc.

The whole thing never really appealed to me though because like I said earlier, I'd rather lose games with friends, then win with skilled strangers.

in my experience most high level dota players are huge faggots. whenever i play inhouse with my friend's friends people start yelling at me cuz i'm kinda bad which makes me want to play even worse, or just leave, depending on my mood.
