Well most of the new agi heroes are garbage but then they decided to make some really strong str heroes with sick escape mechanisms and tons of life. Lodestone, Salomon and Rally are particulary annoying for exemple.

Also they nerfed the dog in the past but then they reworked him again and now gemini is still quite strong.
Never felt that Rhap was broken. Pearl on the other hand is ridiculous in pubs lol...

Rally is by far the most annoying of the new heroes. He's in pretty much EVERY single game, and even if he has a shitty start he can easily catch up by 2 shooting heroes at 6. Really really crazy survivability as well.

Lodestone is kinda in the same boat. Less utility, but very good survivability coupled with huge burst.

Salomon I've pretty much never seen. I don't really think the hero is anything above average really. The ult has potential to do huge damage, but since he has no stun, and you have to actually sit on top of the hero to slow it, it's kinda shitty.

Gemini is pretty good though, definitely above average. Also helps that the ult is bugged with arachna ult, vj curse, and probably a lot more that I don't know about. But since you can never use bkb in ult form I don't think this hero can ever reach god tier.

Yea Salomon seems definitly weaker than Lode and Rally and he lacks a stun and that's why he will probably never fit in a competitive line up. However in pubs he can be really annoying.

Also HoN tour S2 should be fun with all the new teams. sG vs MVIP (or whatever is their new name) will be crazy lol.

Can't play this week but the key to get decent at HoN is:

- Get some basic knowledge about the game. Since there are 100+ heroes it will take you many games to learn what are their spells, roles, weaknesses etc...

- It doesn't mean that you have to learn to play all the heroes tho. You need first to master some "basic" heroes because if you try a different hero every game you will never improve. Start with two or three supports, the easiest being plague rider and then maybe glacius or aluna. One or two easy strenght heroes like moraxus, armadon, pred if you want a carry (pro tip pred is stronger when he starts in lane). You can also pick a ranged carry but you will have to work on your last hits / denies. Forsaken archer and Arachna are nice but they are kinda like glass cannons, arachna is terrible at farming too. Emerald Warden, Draconis or Corrupted Disciple are ok picks if you like ranged carries. I wouldn't recommand silhouette or MoA since they are pretty hard to play properly.

-So basicaly once you have "mastered" those heroes you will be able to make the right pick and to play the roles that your team need. If they are all picking supports (unlikely) pick a carry, if they pick only squishies pick a Strenght hero etc...

-Work on your last hits / denies. It is really important.
- Don't forget to get vestment, you will need it in most of your games because the amount of magic burst damage is often incredible. It is only 400 gold.
- Steam boots > Phase boots, at least at low level. Striders if you are support.
- If you support buy wards. Stay back in fights and DONT FEED. I don't really know how the 1200's bracket is but i think that warding is still important.

- Watch the mini map all the time. It is one of the the big differences between 1400-1500 and 1550+. People start to think about the minimap. When you can't see the ennemy team on the minimap it often means that someone gonna die soon.

The hardest part: don't ever rage, ignore ragers/griefers just do your job and don't get mad. Sometimes you will get a game that is impossible to win. That's life. This is the key part to get out of 1600's if you are not queing with friends.

Just looked at your profile and it seems that your most played heroes are bh, pyro, arachna, pebbles and valk. They are definitly not the right heroes to pick.
BH is a trollish pick and you will never improve if you pick him all the time. Valk and pyro are very hard to play and pebbles is probably too hard for your level too since you need good map awareness and very fast reflexes.
But tbh if you only care about winning and rating you will have to play PR ward bitch support in 80% of your games. That's the beauty of solo queuing in HoN: your team will insta pick magebane/nomad/mk/bh and expect you to support.

Also you can play Casual mode. It is honestly much more fun. People are less tryhard and less skilled, more action, no gold lost on death, everyone pick carries etc...

Do not play casual mode IF you want to learn the game. While it is true, that it is faster paced/''more fun'', average player skill is lower etc., you will learn the basics better in normal games.

I have a good understanding of the game(been playing since a year before F2P) just no one to play with so raising my mmr is next to impossible. Ive gotten it back to 1550 a few times and it falls again because I get a string of feeders and leavers. I just need a couple people to que with regularly... I'll even play support with no complains.

Just enjoy the game and forget about mmr tbh.

In my experiance, games at a higher MMR are generally more enjoyable (better teamplay, warding etc.). Sadly, the queues are very long and 90% of the games you still end up playing with 6-9 people who are 200ish MMR below you...

6-9 is alot better than having a teammate who goes 0-13. Honestly if you have never been below 1400mmr you do not understand why I am upset. I am above that level of play in every way except having people to play with who are competent. I never said I wanted to be at 1900 mmr I just want to be at a level where people actually pick horoes as a team.

Im not sure why me asking for solid people to play with is a big deal. Encouragement is supposed to be part of the community, this was not me asking to get carried to 1900 this was me asking to have someone to play with who may be able to help my gameplay.

It's the same concept. I stopped playing normal TMM because in too many games there are people who ''don't play good enough, troll etc...''. That mentality is present almost in every bracket; when you're 1500ish you think almost everyone below ruins your games, when you're 1800+ you think the same thing. Even in higher MMR brackets there isn't that much team picking, but it is still a lot better. Also, from my experiance, attitude wise, the 1600-1750 bracket is by far the worst. My advice is, stop caring about MMR and start playing for fun.

If you're above their level of play in every way, then just go mid every game and collect your free mmr. It's really easy to take advantage of most of the mistakes people do at lower brackets.

Trolls and people with just a bad attitude exist in every bracket, and even in most games. Trust me, I'm one of them

. It's up to you whether or not to be a part of it. There's an ignore command in the game for a reason. And there's not really anything stopping you from asking some of the nice people in your games to queue with you.
