not a very hard to get into beta, esp when you can just slap down some money with steam and buy into it. I'd say that everyone playing currently is about how much will ever play, dota isn't exactly a fps there is a very high learning curb so it's not some people just dabble in even if it is f2p granted it has valve promotion behind it. | ||

I don't think the current amount of players is close to the amount that dota 2 is going to have in the future, not everyone is passionate enough about DotA type games to actively pursue a key, but are still going to play when it comes out - I mean, just by being a valve game it will garner a lot of attention at launch. And if valve manages to make the chinese scene switch we'll be comparing it with LoL rather than HoN. I guess time will tell.
