He obviously has a lot of good options and can be built a few different ways, but when laning mid vs dev... what build should I use? Should be really aggressive? Should I be pumping the impalement vs dev? How about vs soulstealer? I read somewhere that aggressive play vs soulstealer is necessary, since he just beats you if you try to compete in a passive last-hitting game.. Vs devo I would level impalement first to max (ofc start with stun so skill 1-2-2-3-2-2-3-3-3-1-1-1-4-4-stats-4, i don't like his ulti till first big item but w/e thats up for debate, you can get it @ lvl 10&11 as well)). This allows you to have runecontrol, because impalement is pretty good on solo heroes in river, and being a ranged hero vs devo you should shut his farm down anyway. Vs soulstealer I would max agonizing bond, then stun, then impale starting with 1 lvl stun ofc. The thing with soulstealer is a good soulstealer will play pretty passive, not really allowing you to nuke him down. However, with his low hp and your own stun + nuke he is a really easy target to gank with a teammate. So get that magmus/rampage/behe/witch/insertrandomstunnerhere to move his ass and score some freekills on soulstealer. 2 questions: What's the general skilllevel in TL honclan? (i'm kinda tired of matchmaking putting me with ppl 250 mmr lower :<) And are there any euro in houses/matchmakings going on through there?

The majority is around 1400-1750, a couple of 1800+ players there too. But I actually think most of the high MMR players associated with TL are not the clan. There are TL inhouses semi-frequently, but most of them are USE afaik.

And on a tort mid thing: Impalement early kinda sucks, unless your team goes for a push strat. Chain/Bonds is so much more utility, especially when you're going to start ganking. And it beats passive players who like to hang back since you can just bond the ranged creep and you get a decent chance of dragging the hero behind him closer for chain reaction follow-up.

Got the singular misfortune of having to play glacius last night in a TL TMM game, and hadn't played him but once before. His ulti, is it like magmus/tort/etc ultis, where you activate it and it just goes off while you do whatever or do you have to be sitting there just waiting for someone to touch you and deactivate it so you can wait 120 seconds to do it again? I also went 3-2-3-2-3-4-3-2-2-4-1-1-1-etc and got told that was bad. So what build do you want on glacius. He seemed like a pretty cool (see what I did thar?) hero to play, with some good potential, but I have no idea what to do with him other than lane with sb and get free kills and assists, transitioning into ward bitch and trying to stun random people. My items were something like striders, two bracers, ring of sorcery, and wards and counter-wards. I would look at random guides, but just comparing two random guides, on, say, hellbringer.......they're like two completely different things, lol. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place(HoN forums). Is there any good place for solid hero guides? Also random n00b feel good moment. Was solo MM last night with Plague Rider, because the always correct Pokebunny said he was an op support. Well, despite being down in kills, we had raped all their outer towers and were pushing rax. One bad engagement later it was 1 v 3 with me being the 1, with about 70 hp but almost max mana, I was running away like a scared rabbit, when they decided to chase me past their creeps with <50% hp. One ulti and q later, and it's hat trick time, with me gaining 3 levels right there. From there I transitioned into carry plague with ulti stick, and we won the game despite having no real carry, and them having a dampeer with +3 levels on any of us. So I am now an official plague rider fan.

I've been thinking this, too. Esp since the pull into stun really can't be followed up with any sort of impalement unless I'm committing for a kill attempt.

1233343111422254 most of the time, after lv7 1 and 2 are interchangeable tho pretty much every single support hero ever: flying courier > wards > tp > boots > mana battery > treads or striders > power supply later tablet and/or astrolabe, maybe idol or stormspirit void tali, energizer, abyssal are good too but generally less preferred

It depends though. Impalement is really effective as it allows you to play aggressively knowing that if you have to get to melee battle, you'll own them, especially melee or short range heroes.

So I am now an official plague rider fan. If the team fight is over and you still have your ult, you did something wrong. Next time use your ult beginning/mid of the fight. This changes the outcome of the game. As well as you dont be afraid to lose games, take this opportunity as a learning chance where you can experience every hero and every build. Once you do that, you can start carrying about your rank, but in reality HoN's system is pretty good in matching you with people of equal skill so enjoy the game. If you are playing a support prepare to be a ward-bitch, no joking, if thats what it takes to win the game, be prepared to do that. The top builds for glacius are pretty good, just stick with them, and make sure you are active in a team fight, slow, freeze, ult, ult is done slow and freeze again. Glacius is a very weak and fragile hero, but yet he by himself can change the out come of the game. Since mana is already given, concentrate on survivability and then support. Mechanism is not a bad item to get, Nome's wisdom is not a bad item to get, that totem/book looking thing that leaps you forward... Sometimes sheepstick, whirlwindy thing or portal key is not a bad way to go
