glacius isn't a hero in which an extremely good player can showcase their skills to the fullest extent. when i said she isn't a complex hero, what i meant was that her skills aren't hard to use and dont take much skill - which is why you can play her well if you just have good skills
Yeah. Tell that to players who can't play support. We went through this discussion already, but basically support isn't any harder to play than carry, nor is it easier. I find most support players in DotA more tight with their farm than your typical carry players.

Depends on lanes and heroes. Usually nova 1, ice block 2, aura x3. Ulti sometimes at lvl 6 in dota, after the mana cost change, but not if you or the team is sacked. In general boots+magic stick/wand makes skilling ulti viable.
If you are going to push lane/push lanes back max nova afterwards, but if you need to time spells with kunkka/gladiator(i think it is in HoN) or if you're against blinking heroes you can consider skilling ice block higher than nova.
In general, don't skill untill you see opponents on lane. Nova have large cast range, and can hit multiple targets, but ice block can break animation on ES/behemoth. Also, if there's been mass fight in level 1 (and you're out of mana and clarities), consider taking aura level 2, and make sure to dodge fights as much as possible before level 3. Passive 3-lane faceoff gains most from defensive nova harras (clarity cancle and can hit all 3 sometimes) but supporting a solo lane vs another solo usually benefits most from ice block.
This is how I typically build, but nova is such a good skill and now that it scales in slow/duration per level it seems useful to at least trade off between aura and it. (I almost always get ult at 6 just because of how good it is to tp to tower dives with. and teamfights in general)

watch chinese dota players play cm. try to remember why they do the things they do. watch a lot of replays. 1 hour spent on replays will improve you much more than 1 hour spent in a dota pub. only watch chinese players.
Any dota teams/players in specific to watch? (or replays, that would be pretty great).
The problem with only watching Chinese players is that you don't get too much perspective about thinking outside the box, only the result of people who spent their time maximizing strategies according to their play. That's why DTS crushed EHOME in WDC in groups with a push strategy and made EHOME look like noobs who didn't know what they were doing. Sometimes they will pick unusual strategies but you have to follow the scene in order to know which games were played like that, many videos are only up in VoD.
Also CM isn't played this much this version so you have look around a little more.
That said, CM players to watch: Gx (SL, former LGD), 820 (EHOME), ddc (CCM, former Dream), NS(M5, former DTS)

best hope they shape up before then since theres like 4 months to go, with all the sloppy play i've been seeing in all the recent foreigner games they really have to step their execution up because i can see the difference in the live chinese games i sometimes watch

Indeed, and since the team reformations in China, the scene's no longer dominated by 3 top teams constantly playing standard against each other. Push, gank, and hard carry strats, along with the return of 2-1-2, are all viable weapons in the current metagame With a lot of new up and coming teams and vast arrays of dota "cheeses", the top Chinese teams have really become much more all-rounded, the other day WE did this Nec+Omiknight Push Strat that looked more polished than anything I've ever seen out of Europe
wow.... went from 1740 to 1690 haha damn tanked my mmr so hard.... Overall just having bad games and running into situations where i'll be forced to play a certain role/hero
Thos game could be so great, but my last 10 fucking games were ruined by random idiots on my team... I got no problem at all with people who suck at the game, but if they just feed on purpose, go afk in the middle of the game, stay in the base from minute 1 and stay level 1 for the whole game, just argue about bullshit and ruin everybody elses game it drives me mad. And the opposing team always gives a fuck and doesn't even think about agreeing on the kick vote, because "HERP DERP ITS FREE WIN OLOOLOLOLOLOL U SUXXOR!" At some point a vein in my brain will pop and I'll just drop dead while playing HoN...
Anyway, what are the consequences in HoN if you get reportet? I guess pretty much nothing happens... Or do they actively punish people for being retarded fucks?
I'd suggest playing with either people you know or at least people from TL, much, much safer then solo queueing imo. Makes the game more fun because you don't have to (always) blow a huge gasket in the middle of the game.
