About the whole striders and chalice thing. I feel like most of the people complaining about them are the same people that complain about hon not matching dota or being unfair compared to dota.
IMO they needa stfu and just play the game. I like how things are right now. compared to the dota scene these days, i feel like hon is a lot more action packed from way early on thanks to striders and chalice. i would definitely hope that hon doesnt turn into the farmfest that dota is currently... - ___-
(btw im saying this with little knowledge of the dota scene lol. i just remember watching this streamed finals game like a month or two ago of the top two chinese teams playing, and all they did was farm until both teams were stacked, and the alch team won -___- so boring to watch)

Legitimate discussion over high-level DotA/HoN? This is one of the longest threads on TL without a whitelabel warning at the top.
theres been plenty of legitimate discussion over striders and chalice and anyway, the post rate is slow compared to some other threads. hell, kpop thread is close to us now i remember when they were like 500 pages behind
If you check the start date on that thread and this thread, it's actually pretty scary. Think they went ahead and shitted up that thread too and the mods stepped.
When this thread started:
I was there!!!
Seriously though, 2007? Jesus christ... way to make me feel old. I was a freshman back then...and so many things have changed lol.

If you think DotA is a farmfest now...DotA's "farmfests" right now are pretty much what you should expect unless S2 decides to introduce mechanics to break down lanes stupidly quick and even then it wouldn't stop it. It's not a farmfest as much as players have gotten stupidly good at farming when given the chance, like in an average lane, it's like 4:1 CS to time elapsed farm (going upwards of 90%+ of the available creeps taken).
Players and teams have just gotten so much more specialized and efficient in doing what needs to be done. Like just watching the last hitting ability of the average top player has risen considerably since 27 even in light of the tri-lanes, offensive jungles, and roaming gankers. Not to mention the streamlining of the available gold income and funneling as much of it as possible to your carries.
So more than likely, HoN will experience a similar period where something will make everyone step up their game more. Whether that something comes in the form of a patch, strategy, player/team, item, or some combination of any, remains to be seen.

yo customs people we gotta play multi TD super simple TD with awesome strategy and execution required to succeed. it basically starts and goes on til one person loses. there's no learning curve information-wise; there's like 3 towers. it's all about application and execution and having a good build order (mine's the best no lie. rapes tygs)

Whenever pebbles throws a target to himself, the target is binded to land at pebble's position after 1 second of airtime. However, if pebbles does anythnig that disjoints (Tp, pkey, etc) the target will land at where pebbles started the disjointing action.
As of this patch, X does not disjoint, so that is possible
So yeah chalice has been nerfed. What do you guys think? personally I used it once on panda today... wasnt too pleased becuase I didnt have any type of passive regen.
