![]() Anyone got any suggestions on what to build next? Also, where do you find metal? I can't seem to find any iron anywhere. EDIT: Speaking of insanity, our leather worker has been possessed D:

From what I remember they're worth a decent amount and weigh a lot. The advantage is you train up your mechanic and don't waste time on an early craftsdwarf. They also sell for more / item making it easier to haul them to the depot if you don't have enough bins for all the mugs you'd otherwise craft. Later on the weight is a limiting factor in profit, but early on you can use them for the first 1-2 caravans to get good trades in.

Problem is that when you're a new player your eyes tries to focus on everything, as you don't know what everything is yet. After a while you ignore 99% of the shit on screen and just focus on whatever you need focusing on, and then you can play for however long without your eyes tiring. That's how it was for me anyhow.

So in my sillyness, I forgot to embark with an anvil, lol. Whoops. Ah well, I built enough mechanisms that I was able to buy it. I was worried I wouldn't have enough food since there was no soil on the top (sand ><) and I hadn't gotten my underground farm started, but I survived the winter. I'm having issues keeping them happy though, there are just so many dwarves that it's hard to manage them all.
