It is still "closed beta". Open will be in "summer" or something.
If you have backed the Kickstarter you got an invite code for "now".
I haven't played that much with my backer-code. I'm still not sure what I'm doing at the moment :D

I really start to worry about the game for the first time. Don't get me wrong: I know it's early in development. I know a lot can change. However... I just realize I really don't enjoy watching the videos and streams, because everything seems to bland and tediously slow. I tend to watch the videos in 1.5x speed and everything still takes forever.

And right now, the strategic depth seems to be quite limited - but that can change with more units and buildings added to the game. Right now, I'm not that excited about the game anymore.

Just trying to reconfirm but so far it seems like there's no invisibility/cloak mechanic in the game? IE no units that can turn invisible etc? Also no mines or anything like that? Not judging just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.

it feels really weird when u box a bunch of bob's to build a structure and they all start it instead of 1, especially because selecting individual workers feels a bit awkward right now, i feel like it would be way better if 1 bob builds it then u can manually add more on top of it if u wanted to

then when u wanna spam a bunch of buildings with those same workers they stop building the first structure and start the 2nd one, i know Q is a "quick macro build" control group but a lot of times there's situations where i just wanna build stuff manually (if i have idle workers far away i don't want them to get selected to build those structures etc.)

honestly the quick macro build hotkey/shortcut feels a bit useless to me, the other shortcut groups are good (train units/train advanced units/upgrades) because they combine several buildings into 1, "quick macro build" just bypasses "z" on a worker

Ya in a vacuum it feels weird (especially for a SC player) but when u couple it with BOB overcharge it makes sense.. but there has to be a better/cleaner way of doing it.

1 way that "quick macro build" (Q key) could be more useful is if it selected all your Command Posts so you could rally them (that way you don't need to have another individual hotkey for your Command Posts). You'd have an all in 1 shortcut/hotkey for your workers/town hall.

Adding BOBs to "quick macro build" and removing it from "train units" also makes more sense imo, it's cleaner/more synergetic if u branch them into their own groupings. Having your worker mixed in with your units is really weird and a bit confusing cus the town hall is the only building that doesn't have a shortcut that selects them to change their rally.

TLDR: I think adding BOBs (or workers) to Q instead of E and having Q select your Command Posts/Town Halls would make for better hotkey synergy

Ugh. It's exactly as I feared; almost the same as the last build we saw, with the only notable change being a big ability bar (dunno if there's a fancy name for it) at the top of screen. Still no sign of 3rd faction and still no T3 tech as far as I can tell. Yeah, very much a tech demo still. Dunno why they're in such a hurry to let the public have their hand on this. Personally I can't see anything good coming out of this playtest.

It's also laggy as hell, even when I was playing against the bot.

na no1's gonna use that, u need units at home/ur rally point to defend vs harass/drops

btw i dunno if any1 has this problem but switching any of the shortcut hotkeys (q/w/e/r/t/) to "tab" doesn't work, it's weird cus it was working for me before

Try as I might, this game just doesn't appeal to me like even a little bit right now. The gameplay is similar enough to Starcraft 2 but lacking the polish and smoothness in gameplay, the aesthetic feels VERY bland and uninteresting, the economy feels overly simplified to the point of pointlessness, and the two factions just don't seem very interesting either.

Maps are small and boring, and the Co Op feels similar enough to SC2's co Op (except it's 3 player which is nice) that again it makes me wonder why am I playing this instead of just booting up SC2?

It doesn't help that my PC doesn't run this anywhere near as well as it runs SC2 and I hate its UI currently. Reminds me way too much of League of Legends in a bad way.

Might be that it's just too early to tell, and the game will improve a ton as it receives additional development time, but for what it is right now, I just don't have any enjoyment when playing it. Every game I play of it makes me think I'd be better off booting up SC2 and playing that instead.

For me it's a similar feeling but for completely different reasons: Somehow I can't be bother to learn the new controls, units, abilities and strategies. Maybe I'm just getting old and lazy. The game needs to give me a reason to do all that and rather start a game of SG than booting up SC2.
