I have some questions about what "all characters on the realm" means, like from an Altar of Lilith. When dexterity (or anything) has been increased by 2 for "all characters on the realm", does that mean any other current and future characters I create for my account will automatically have their dexterity be 2 higher than if I hadn't earned that reward?
Does it boost the stats of any party members or other non-party players too, or just me?
I only have one character right now - a Druid - but suppose this scenario is true: I have Druid A, which is level 50+ higher; I also have Druid B, which is new and only level 3; I will create Druid C at a later date. If Druid A earns the reward that all characters on the realm gain +2 dexterity, I assume this means that my lower-level Druid B also gains +2 dexterity, but does it additionally mean that when I get around to creating Druid C (say, in a week or two, after I've already earned the +2 dex bonus), Druid C will start with 2 more dexterity than Druid A and Druid B originally did when I first made them?

Its for all your character on that server. So if you found all the altars of lilith on your druid, every character created after that will have those +stats applied to it on level 1. Same goes for renown rewards of a zone - the +1/+2 skill points from every zone, more obol capacity, number of health potions available to you. It only boosts you and your characters. Not anybody elses. Not your party members, not your friendlist, not randoms in your world.
The big questions is: Will we have to find all these altars again every season, or is it actually permanent, account-wide across all seasons. I'd absolutely HATE to have to find all the altars again once the 1st season in July rolls out.

Thanks for the information!
In regards to the bold: You mean for more +stat bonuses and renown, in addition to the ones we've already earned now, or the idea that all those rewards disappear and our stats decrease when a new season starts? I wouldn't mind treasure hunting for more treasure, but they better not take away my current treasure.
Just a PSA but everyone who has a Rogue should be playing and enjoying the Twisted Blades/Trap build because Blizz is going to nerf the hell out of it soon.

For the current characters that we've made, I assume it's going to stay the way it is currently, because they are essentially unraked/not in the current league. I think (again, I cannot find any Blizzard response/evidence to this) that their idea is that new seasons will have a clean slate to them, so we'll have to unlock all the altars of lilith, all the renown will be reset, and we'll have to redo the campaign again, on our very first character of the season, to unlock the skip function for all the subsequent characters.
Blizz has been very vague/silent about what they envision for seasons/leagues as far as progression goes. Aside from saying there will be shop updates and a battlepass for them.

Will almost definitely be a per season grind sort of deal. Otherwise you have an unfair advantage at the start by having everything unlocked already when other people do not because they didn't play.

Agreed.
Speaking of QoL, I hope they let us keep more than 20 quests at a time or have a list of completed quests so I can go back and pick up the ones I skipped or dropped. There are enough quests that I don't want to finish them all before moving on with the campaign.
I just remembered that Diablo 4 game director, Luis Barriga, and Diablo 4 lead game designer, the infamous Jesse McCree, were fired from the team after the Oberwatch sexual misconduct lawsuit.
So I wonder how much that affected development in things like itemization, skill tree, social features etc
This is quite typical for Blizzard. I would not expect anything less. D3 was unplayable for some people for several weeks. I still remember my friend who pre-ordered it, installed it a week before release but wasn't able to play it until like 3 weeks after launch.
Went back a few pages but no luck, wish I could find the Blizzard tweet about being very confident they'd tested the servers and ensured they'd have the capacity this time.
Pretty valid concerns I think. Defences being borked (resistances being useless), unstoppable being OP and 2 classes that can have near-permanent unstoppable are obviously the best classes in the game at the moment etc.

Level 63 SC Flurry Rogue. Very, very glassy, but super fun to play.
Just dash into groups, auto 3 times, and blow everything up with 5 digit flurries.
I have a level 64 Ice Shards Sorc, and I'm in WT3 and it's getting dreadfully boring. I'm no longer getting gear upgrades and the Tree of Whispers rewards' just suck ass. I'm bouncing between Helltides (Mystery Chest every time) and just pushing renown for those 4 paragon points in each zone. I'm gonna try to go into WT4 soon also to start getting meaningful upgrades in ancestral items. I think Blizz made a mistake with suggesting to players to go to WT4 at around 70ish. and balancing that keystone dungeon around it. WT3 is such a huge slog, people get to WT3 at 40/50 and the grind to get to 65/70 is really long to stay in 1 world tier.

That's what I did. I got somewhat lucky and found decent weapons with 800 item power quickly which boosted my damage massively.
I recommend upgrading WT as soon as possible and then doing all the dungeons for renown until you have your 4 paragon points everywhere (and yeah, getting the mystery boxes). Then you will be level 70ish and you can do a few maps. You get insane amounts of power from paragon points.
But item upgrades only get harder to find. I would give a lot for an item filter. I don't want to see white and blue items. I don't want to see normal rare or sacred rare items. I don't want to see weapons below 800 item power. In fact, I don't want to see any gloves or chest armors at all (because I have my unique).
I'm pretty sure there's an item filter deep in the options somewhere. I need to find it as I'm level 58 and just behind you guys.
The mystery chests don't show up in the map until you get closer, right? I'm finding everything but it when I browse through the map.
I finished the story at level 53 and got 4-5 levels on WT3 playing the entire Sunday. I've been bouncing between helltides and dungeons (picking based on tree of whispers) and finishing up some sidequests. I think I need to just focus on the nightmare sigil dungeons until I get a level 3. Why oh why is this RNG based.
