I never went back to PoGo. Ingress is such an amazing game if you are into walking around and visiting cool places, that you would have never seen before. And it has actual gameplay apart from endlessly throwing Pokéballs. Download it and be amazed.

It's great that people are out and activr, I'm not against that. But please also apply common sense when playing on your mobile phone in public.

Then I read a post on Reddit how you could use the Ingress map to see, where there are a lot of Pokémon spawning. I never went back to PoGo. Well, I'm coining the fad "blanking", where you walk or stand around like a zombie because you're too preoccupied with the Pokemon on your phone. Sounds like typical smartphone usage to me.

Common sense says yes. Name one smart phone game or app that requires you swipe across something to make it spin to use it?

I would have thought that after the first poke stop or so when you just click the blue icon that pops up- and nothing happens at all- you would try something else ::shrugs:: Dragging/ moving your finger across the screen to make something happen is in a ton of popular games and apps, like fruit ninja, unblock me, some versions of candy crush and the spin-offs, pretty much every Nintendo DS/ touchscreen game, etc. Not everything is just tapping.

So I can't try it till next week but is there any point into that? Like can't you just check the map occasionally then stop to catch a pokemon and move on rather than walking with your face on the screen? Or am I missing something.

Play Super Mario. I agree here. Running into other people playing the game (especially in smaller towns) is fun. Also, chasing pokestops might lead you to landmarks and such that you might have missed otherwise. For example, my first pokestop was a funny sign for a tire-shop
